My mum has been well looked after during her stay at Eden Court and settled in well. The staff have been caring helpful and friendly regularly checking upon mum bring her drink and snacks. Mum has really enjoyed the food. The staff and management have made the home inviting with interactive displays and activities for the residents. Mum enjoyed the fireworks display and the music concerts. The home is kept warm and clean and is freshly decorated. Thank you for looking after mum so well.
Cedar Court is lovely, so nice to my dad. he's not an easy person. They have also supported my mum and I. They can't do enough for you. Also, my dad has put on weight and he looks clean and tidy.
My father moved into Eden Court in July and the management and staff team have helped us as a family through a difficult time. We are always informed when my dad's needs have changed and are involved in any changes to his care plan. The staff also assisted with ensuring my dad attended his late wife's funeral. The management and staff are approachable and nothing is too much trouble. The home is clean. Many thanks to all the staff.
My mother moved into the care home this week. The management team and staff have all been very kind in what is an emotional and difficult time. Various members of the family have dropped into the home and always received a friendly welcome. The room is clean and we have been able to take our own furniture. The maintenance man put our photos on the wall and set up the TV. The care team have treated my mother with respect and dignity. The food is very good. There is a visitor's kitchen and a lounge area. The door is key-coded I would highly recommend this residence.
Sadly, we have just lost my husband, dad, son and grandad to the horrible disease of dementia. My husband was looked after so well, as was I. When visiting, we felt like one big family. The carers are excellent and have so much compassion. I will miss seeing all the staff, including the laundry, cleaners, and kitchen staff, they all are the best. Thank you so much to all of you, and not forgetting the lovely manager, who was so kind and caring for my hubby and family.
Eden Court is so professional without losing its caring for those residents who live there. My partner's mum was accepted there in July and the staff from the Manager to the cleaners have shown so much care and respect to her it's commendable to you all, the home is spotless and any queries we had have been dealt with immediately and the staff can't do enough for both her and her family. I just want to say a massive thanks to you all and say well done. Kind regards
My dad stayed in the intermediate care facilities for 3 weeks for rehabilitation/physiotherapy. He was treated with respect and friendliness. When his health unexpectedly deteriorated the nursing staff immediately responded. The family hope that he will be able to return to the unit to continue his recovery in the near future.
I have just visited my mother and I noticed some lovely soft carpet in her bedroom which is new. The staff are still as kind and caring as usual. They always make me welcome. I have no complaints about any of her care. Fabulous carers.
The care home is always friendly when we visit. Everyone seems happy. My mum has settled in well and seems to enjoy being here.
My nana was having a fantastic time singing and dancing to the singer, said she is the happiest she's been in a long time.
I have no problems with the level of care given, if I had a problem I speak to the nurse in charge/next in charge and we sort it out.
My father-in-law has settled well. He was understandably unsettled at first and scared, he wasn’t walking when he arrived after a stay in hospital. As a family, we have visited regularly. We have given staff advice on his history and his likes/dislikes. Staff have always been polite and listened. My father-in-law has progressed and is now back feeding himself more often and walking around independently. The staff have promoted this. On my visits, he will often go to the toilet with guidance, and now he is doing this regularly with staff, this wasn’t the case when he first arrived at the home. It’s great to see him more settled. I was fully aware that it would take time for him to settle in a new environment, and for both him and the staff to get to know each other. There were times that I have felt some of his personal care was missed, such as not wearing socks, not having deodorant on and not having his teeth in. These needs are now being met and staff have been responsive to our requests. We fully accept as a family that at times dementia clients can be more challenging and some needs cannot be met. I am pleased to see more activities for the residents. I think this is needed for this resident group. I can certainly see how the residents are benefitting from the improvements that are being made by the new management team. I would also like to know all the staff better, perhaps name badges? It would be helpful to visitors and would give a more personal approach. As a family, we have been able to visit whenever we like which we are most grateful for.
I was in Eden Court in Feb 2024, the staff were very good, nothing was too much for them and the physios were brilliant. The care I received was very good, the exercises the physios gave me I am doing now I'm home and they have helped me a lot, thank you, everyone was lovely.
Very good. They take care of Mum very well. Mum seems very happy. All the staff are great and I’m pleased with the care that my mum is receiving at the care home. We are able to visit Mum whenever we want which is great.
The team at Brackenbed gave us a warm welcome and encouraged us to approach them with any questions we had regarding my father’s care during his rehabilitation. The level of care given to my father exceeded our expectations and was delivered by a very friendly attentive team of staff, many of whom had worked at Brackenbed for a long time. We appreciated the continuity of care that the established team was able to provide. Communication between the staff and family was excellent at every stage of my father’s stay. I would not hesitate to recommend Brackenbed to others.
Thank you to everyone at Bracken Bed View. My mum spent five weeks at Bracken Bed View after being released from hospital. Unable to move after knee replacement, with great help and support from carers and staff at Bracken Bed View she could leave and come home. My mum has only good things to say about Bracken Bed View, she has been well looked after, the place is clean and well-maintained and all the staff are friendly and helpful and work incredibly hard.
Excellent care, helpful staff and very friendly. If it was not for these helpful staff I do not think I would still be here and alive. I had given up hope of recovery before moving into Bracken Bed View. Excellent staff in all ways.
I was shocked at the shabby, smelly condition of the Intermediate Care facility. The rooms were dark and dingy; the carpets were tired and not fit for purpose. There was a distinct lack of care for patients with particular dietary needs. The outdoor seating area was unkempt and not safe to use. The attitude of staff was lacklustre and clearly morale was low. The signing in record book was full and when additional pages were requested the response was to write on the cardboard backing, very unprofessional and did not fill me with confidence.
My dad was in Bracken Bed and really enjoyed his stay. Staff were extremely kind, nothing was too much trouble and, in my dad's words, he had more care in 24 hours than 3 and a half weeks in hospital. Well done to all staff and management.
