My friend has been here now for a few weeks and the care and compassion for my dear friend is wonderful. Cleanliness is to a high standard with such a warm and friendly environment. Thank you so much for all you are doing not just for my friend but for all of your residents.
My brother has been a resident at Abbey Care Village for a few weeks. The care and cleanliness of the home is second to none. They are brilliant. He is calmer and happier and gets on very well with the other residents. Such lovely and caring staff.
My mother-in-law has been residing at Abbey Care Village for several weeks. There is a lovely and friendly atmosphere from the moment you walk through the door. The activities provided are amazing and the cleanliness is 5-star.
My auntie has been at Abbey Care Village for just over a year now. The home has a warm and welcoming environment. Not only does the home care for their residents but they genuinely care for the families of the residents as well. I could not recommend Abbey Care enough. I am so thankful for them.
We moved my father from another care home and I will say it has been the best decision. We wish we'd moved him here a lot earlier. The level of care is above and beyond what we could have hoped for. Thank you.
If I could give the home 0 then I would. My father went in for urgent respite care with a view to longer care as my mum was struggling to care at home. Every time I visited Dad he was sat in the lounge with other residents facing a wall rather than a TV despite the fact I repeatedly told staff he would be happier in his room listening to music. There was no stimulation or engagement offered at all. Care records showed the activities coordinator visited residents once in 10 days to give them sweets. Some of the staff were rude and unpleasant. He was dirty every time I visited with faeces on his hands and clothes. Staff said they couldn't clean him due to aggression. Care records did not once record staff going back and trying again when Dad got agitated by strangers trying to wash him in an unfamiliar environment. There were no de-escalation techniques or basic dementia communication. The home manager said she didn't know about my dad's 'behaviours' but my dad does not behave the way he did in that home when in the community. He was like a caged animal, unstimulated, ignored, and showed no care. They also put 'DNACPR' next to Dad's name when not discussed with me. He is 75.
The staff are so lovely and caring. There is always a warm greeting from the lady on reception, the management team and all the carers, Activities are great. My mum loves it there and I couldn't imagine anywhere better for her.
I cannot praise Abbey Place enough! Since my 94-year-old Mum came to stay I have noticed a marked improvement in her health and welfare. She has settled well and I am relieved that she is well looked after. Staff, including cleaners etc, are all fantastic!
I am really happy with my mum's care at Abbey Care Village. Any question I have staff are always able to answer and are happy to help with any queries I have. I also love my mum's room.
The family, in general, are absolutely over the moon with the care, attention and professional approach of the staff.
The overall atmosphere is very good. All the staff are friendly and my father is comfortable and happy. The home is spotlessly clean.
My wife has now been a resident at Abbey Care Village for six weeks, and in that time, I have witnessed a wonderful, caring community in which she has flourished. Initially, here for respite care. I have been so impressed by the whole atmosphere that I have applied for her to become a permanent resident. The facilities and caring staff have improved her quality of life substantially.
The care home is excellent, my dad is so content, the staff are lovely and so efficient.
We are highly satisfied with Abbey Care Home, particularly since it was taken over. The staff are very efficient and kind and very approachable.
It is always a pleasure to visit. Everybody is always very kind, caring and compassionate. Mum is really happy living here and we can tell she is very well looked after. The staff are very welcoming and easily approachable.
Excellent staff, very helpful to the resident and family.
My experience is good, no problems at all, the staff are very good and the managers are brilliant. Cheers.
My wife has been in Abbey Place Care Home for almost five years. During that time, my wife (who has dementia) and myself have always been treated with kindness and dignity by both management and staff. The care here is excellent and from my observation, all residents are treated with patience. The staff treat the residents, not letting their dementia issues override the care they receive.
Staff always welcoming and helpful, my husband is always clean and happy. Bedroom and hallways are neat and tidy.
