View Full Details of Fieldhead ParkMum has been at Fieldhead Park for 6 weeks we have found the care given to her very good. All the staff are lovely. Mum is very happy here.
The staff are very nice, the only negative I have is that we have been told to use the side door (delivery entrance) but when press the bell and nobody comes and answers, you can be stood there for at least 20 minutes waiting for somebody to answer and it's the same for the main entrance nobody answers for ages after pressing the bell.
My mother-in-law has settled in well. She seems so much more happy here. She always says how lovely all the staff are and how friendly. She is taken out on visits and has done so much. She enjoys the friendliness of the staff and in return is happy and cared for. I do believe she is actually living her best life now, laughing and getting out and being with new friends. So thank you for looking after her at a vulnerable and lonely scary time of her life. It has made us happy to see her loving life again at 83.
Fieldhead Park care home has been fantastic in caring for my nan since October 2022. She was discharged from hospital and as a family, we thought this would be for end-of-life care. Huge thank you to the wonderful staff at Fieldhead Park for their time, care and support both to Nana and us as her family. We wouldn't wish for her to go anywhere else. My grandad was always satisfied and knew his wife was always in safe hands.
My partner only stayed a couple of days but she was very happy with everything and enjoyed her stay. Thank you.
Couldn't do enough to solve our problem of moving my aunt from hospital to end-of-life care. Everything was in place within 2 days, and she was looked after brilliantly for the short time she was there.
Field Park offered my dad a week's respite (with the opportunity to stay permanently) after his health deteriorated and he couldn't manage on his own. It was outstanding how quickly and efficiently the staff sorted things out for my dad. Due to commitment, care and the respect all of the staff showed my dad he has chosen to stay at the home. He loves the home-from-home feeling, the variety of activities provided, the spacious and clean room, and the fact someone is on hand 14/7 to help him when he needs it. I would highly recommend Fieldhead Park to anyone!
Fantastic care by all staff. The resident's needs and welfare are met. Outstanding care.
My mother is a resident in the dementia wing which can be challenging for staff and residents, so in the circumstances I believe residents are treated with kindness and dignity. There is quite a turnover of agency staff and some appear to work harder and be more dedicated than others. Overall, I am very happy that I chose a suitable home for my mother. I have noticed on rare occasions resident lounge has been left unattended by staff longer than I think should be.
The staff always seem friendly and attentive - lots of staff make me feel they can adequately care for their patients.
I am very satisfied with all that is being done to care for my husband. I find the staff very kind and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble if you need anything.
Overall, the home is well-run. The staff are very friendly and caring with residents. There seems to be a constant turnover of staff (nurses) and whilst this is understandable given the poor level of funding from the government, it is not ideal for residents.
I would like to thank all the staff for their care and commitment in taking good care of my cousin. My cousin who is not mobile has very complex needs, the manager and her team made sure all her needs were taken care of, she was made to feel at home, feel safe and was always kept clean. I can't thank the company and staff enough as the care they provided enabled me to have peace of mind. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who has a family member that needs 24hr care and attention in the warm atmosphere that Fieldhead create.
My mother was welcomed to Fieldhead Park Care Home following a serious collapse in health. Post hospitalisation, and local respite care, it was clear that going home without 24/7 support was not an option, hence us looking for a local care facility for a trial period of four months to give everybody time to access Mum's progress. Within the four-month period, Mum's health and general confidence continued to improve weekly and now after six months at Fieldhead Park, it is clear that the care, support and daily companionship have given her a new confidence and level of freedom befitting her underlying difficulties. The kindness, care as required, comfort and dignity extended to Mum is exemplary as is the welcome and encouragement we get as visitors. The recreation afforded to the residents is simply wonderful and our mum certainly benefits from the social aspect of all the activities provided. Well run, friendly and a "home" in the truest sense of the word. Well done to all the team.
Staff friendly and helpful and care about my grannie. Positive atmosphere. I enjoy visiting my grannie here. The garden and outside area is well kept and the indoors is like a lovely traditional home with lovely features. I eat with my grannie a lot and the food is good and there is variety and the choices are traditional, which my grannie likes.
I would like to say that it was a nice home for my nan to be placed in while she gets better but I can't. From the experience I saw there, I wasn't best pleased. Don't get me wrong, some of the staff were really nice to her, but others were not very friendly. She had trouble with her incontinence and needed help to the toilet. She would press her buzzer to go and she could be waiting hours for someone to come. Sometimes she would end up in tears over this. If she could have gone herself she would. It was awful to see her go through this and I can't say I would recommend this home to anyone!
Staff are excellent, do all they can to support families. The manager is brilliant and in my opinion, this is why the home is so great. The manager is committed supportive and proactive in her approach. Staff do all they can, go above and beyond especially events. Food is fab. Place is clean. Mum is well cared for.
I have had dealings with Fieldhead Park for over 40 years and would recommend the home to anyone wishing to lodge a relative there or themselves. The staff are so friendly and the carers could not do enough for the residents. It is an excellent residential home and I would not personally pick any fault with it.
Very grateful for the care Dad has had since going into Fieldhead just before lockdown last year. They also looked after Mum during her final days so they could be together. The staff were very caring and the few times we were able to visit noted how well groomed he was and how clean his room and other areas of the home were. He always said the food was good and had very few complaints. They regularly checked on him to make sure he was comfortable. Always kept us updated if there were any health issues or if he had medical appointments.
Just been on a visit to see my dad. The staff are second to none. They fetched him in a wheelchair to the library, and we were in the pod opposite. All staff are really good with him. They have lots of interesting things going on, bingo games, dominos, etc, and they celebrate all special days. I would recommend this care home to anyone.
