View Full Details of Fieldhead CourtIf there are angels amongst us they most certainly work at Fieldhead Court. The respect and dignity they showed to our late father was absolutely amazing. A memory that will stay with me is that even after he had passed away the nurse on duty knocked on the bedroom door before entering and then asked our father if it was ok to enter. Wonderful people to whom we will always be thankful for making the last few days of our father's life so comfortable. If only we had discovered Fieldhead Court several years ago would our Fathers care have been so much better.
I am very satisfied with the care and support that my mother received from this care home. My mother stated several times that she liked all the staff at the home. She stated they were friendly and helpful and treated her with dignity and happiness. She stated she was glad to have stayed here, and of course, the food was beautiful.
My mum was under the care of Fieldhead Court for 14 months. The staff have been so supportive to Mum and to us as a family. They always had time for us when we had questions. In my mum's last weeks, they did everything they could to support and do the best for mum. They welcomed us and offered us help as a family, allowing us to stay with mum until her last breath. We felt like we were part of the family there and the staff gave 100% to caring for mum. Thank you so much.
Mum was only here for a short time, the staff couldn't do enough for her, they were always friendly, polite, professional and caring. Nothing was too much trouble. When staff felt Mum needed to see the nurse she was there very quickly. We were kept informed about how Mum was doing whenever we were there. Staff were always asking if they could do anything for us too. Mum and I had more interaction with staff here in four short days than we ever did with staff at the hospital. I would highly recommend to anyone in the unfortunate position of needing to look for care for a relative.
My mother was very happy at Fieldhead Court. She had excellent care. Indeed, her health improved the first year she was with the manager and her wonderful team. Mum enjoyed the entertainment and loved singing with the staff. Thank you again for everything you did for her.
From nurses to carers, the cleaning staff are always polite caring and very professional. Also, food and drink when needed what an excellent team. I would definitely recommend this care home as outstanding and ask the whole team to keep up these superb standards. My wife is happy and now settled thanks to all involved.
We were very pleased with the care given by all members of your staff to my mother and the rest of our family whenever we visited the home.
My grandma was a resident for three years before she passed away in the tender, loving care of all the staff at Fieldhead Court. She often referred to the staff as an extended family. She loved everything about the home and her only regret was she did not come in sooner before she had a fall, with a long lie at home.
On looking for a home for our dad we wanted a 'home from home'. Somewhere for him to be in company, to mix for his social skills, to keep his mind active, to be surrounded by caring people to tend to his needs, and above all to be happy. Fieldhead Court offer all this, as you enter into a welcoming, warm atmosphere. The staff are friendly, professional and helpful with any queries you may have, tending to all residents with awareness of their individual needs. The meals are well-balanced and appetising. The domestic staff are continually taking care of the day to day cleaning and tidying. We would definitely recommend Fieldhead Court Nursing Home.
From coming into the care home, staff made it easy to settle in with their compassion and care and attention to my needs. Rooms are homely and kept clean and tidy. Staff are well trained to pick on worries and needs and support as required.
My mum was admitted during the pandemic and I had no choice as to the home; I couldn't have chosen a better place. My mum is very happy and is well cared for. The facilities are very good and there are lots of different activities to stimulate the residents. The old part of the house is in need of refurbishment, but the newer rooms are excellent. The staff and management team are friendly and helpful and I feel involved in all aspects of my mum's care. More time and money could be spent on the exterior. For example, the door is always dirty and the signs could be cleaned. The drive and car park could be retarmacked.
I have been unfortunate to use 2 care homes prior to my father becoming a resident at Fieldhead Court. The difference in care, compassion and attention to my father's needs could not be more stark. Fieldhead Court is exceptional in the standards it provides on all 3. Thank you and well done to all the carers for making my father so comfortable.
My mum is well looked after by all the staff. The food is good and my mum enjoys her meals. Activities are extremely good, everyday they are doing things that my mum enjoys.
Absolute fantastic staff. Couldn’t fault the care and attention they gave to our mum during her final days. She was cared for with such compassion, it made the last few days of her life comfortable and calm and was a great comfort to her family knowing she was with such lovely people. Thank you, everyone.
Most of the staff are ok but a few bad apples have made my brother's last weeks of life a misery. Left for long periods of time with wounds that needed redressing. The smell in his room was unbearable because of the neglect of his hygiene and the care of his wounds. There is a lot more to say but at the moment I will have to hang back as this is being looked into by the Care Commission.
My mum is a resident at Fieldhead Court and has been since 2017. My mum sadly has communication issues but I know by the look on her face when those carers/ nurses walk in she is very well looked after. Her face lights up. Fieldhead Court is a beautiful home and has beautiful surroundings for the service users, my mum's needs are very complex and I have every bit of trust and faith in them that they are doing everything just right for her. She is well very well looked after, it’s difficult to pass on the responsibility to someone else when it’s got too much for you to care for them but I know they're doing just as well if not even better than I did. Thank you all for your continued kindness and compassion towards my mum.
My auntie was only in Fieldhead Court for a short period of time. In that time, she was treated with the utmost care and kindness by all the staff, whatever their position in the home. All the team seemed to have a considerate approach to their work. It's the little extra things they did that made a difference.
My Mum had been a resident at Fieldhead Court for nearly 6 and a half years, throughout this time she was looked after extremely well by all staff involved in her care. She was shown a great deal of respect and compassion, along with sharing lots of laughs with the carers, particularly when singing to them. Her care was second to none, the staff have done a fantastic job looking after her for all these years. We could not find fault with anything in the way she has been treated and looked after. My mum passed away recently and we were with her at the end, all those involved in her passing were amazing and very caring towards ourselves and mum. Thank for everything you’ve been amazing.
Mother has some complex medical issues that require monitoring and rapid medical intervention should they deteriorate. This was no more evident than a recent episode where the early intervention had mother back in the care home within a week, as opposed to multiple weeks staying in hospital when she lived independently with care visits. The home dated but is compensated by its clean, tidy and pleasant staff. Mother has never been better in years after becoming a resident.
My sister is not easy to deal with; she has always held a position of authority and with the onset of dementia this made life difficult for those caring for her, as she was aggressive towards anyone who went against her wishes. She arrived at Fieldhead Court wheelchair-bound after fighting and breaking her hip. She was 82 years old. After six months at Fieldhead she was walking, unaided. Fieldhead Court presents a friendly, caring environment. Covid-19 has made life difficult but the staff are wonderful. Residents’ photographs are shown regularly on Facebook and being unable to visit it is reassuring to see her looking happy, clean and well cared for. I cannot praise the staff enough. When further medical attention is needed I am kept well informed. She loves her dolls and cuddly toys and is seldom without one. Fieldhead Court is a mature building rather than a modern, purpose-built show house but the care is second to none and that is what is most important to me and my sister.
