View Full Details of Hartshead ManorMum is very happy + well care for. The staff are all lovely. I would recommend it.
The care provided by staff to my mother is first class. The staff are always professional, caring, thoughtful and cater for mother's needs. The home provides a range of activities and has an activity coordinator who is well established and always provides thoughtful wide ranging activities for all residents. The home's minibus is such a bonus too. My mother has been a resident since December 2024 and I cannot thank the staff enough to know the peace of mind and reassurance. All my family know mum has thrived in such a nurturing and attentive environment. I had given up hope of finding such a first class home until I visited Hartshead Manor. The staff have regular training sessions and know the manager is fully involved with staff having regular meetings to ensure standards are high. I highly recommend this home its simply the best in my opinion around. The food is outstanding with all meals cooked on site. My Mother loves the food.
The care my husband receives is excellent, he has been in the home for almost two years and the staff are now like a second family to us. They are always there for me as well if I am feeling down and when he has a bad day. I would highly recommend this care home to anybody who themselves or their relative can no longer live in their own home anymore.
Mum has excellent, personal care. Always noting her interests and making sure she feels included and well cared for. The staff are always friendly and happy to help make life easier for her, especially when she is confused or agitated.
My mum is currently being cared for in the home. The care that she is receiving is excellent. All the staff are kind, caring, attentive and make what is a challenging time for family and Mum so much more pleasant. I have been kept informed of everything in relation to my mum's care whether it's been just for information or making decisions. I feel my mum is very well looked after, she is comfortable and her privacy and dignity is valued at all times by every member of the team.
I visit my dear friend every week at Hartshead Manor. I always find it to be clean and smell nice. From the moment you walk through the door everyone is so friendly and can't do enough to make you feel welcome. My friend is content here and I would definitely recommend this home to others.
My mum-in-law has been a resident at Hartshed Manor Nursing home for around 18 months. She was admitted to Hartshed following discharge from hospital after an acute delirium. This was quite a distressing situation for her as well as family. The staff at Hartshed were absolutely amazing, fully understood the distress she was suffering and spent lots of time with her to understand her needs and what made her happy. The fabulous compassionate care continues. She loves going on day trips, spending time in the garden. There is a holistic approach to meeting care needs and excellent communication with family.
It's something I never thought would occur, having my mum put into care but sadly, I realise it comes to us all. Staff are all very nice, heating is good. Lovely gardens. I've found the food to be very good. Seems to be a nice atmosphere. Parking is excellent.
Extremely pleased with all aspects of the care that's shown towards my dad and his journey through dementia. Always time to listen and act upon any decision to be made. Dad's settled in right from the first week. The team supporting dad are like our extended family, so caring and very thoughtful. Meals have always been to dad's liking.
My husband has been at Hartshead Manor for 15 months, the care that he receives is excellent the carers can't do enough for him. These last few months he has not been very well they have changed is medication so that he is much calmer and more alert which it makes me and my family very grateful. When we go and see him the carers can't do enough to make us more welcome.
The home is clean and very nicely decorated. The bedrooms are warm and safe. Very good food and choice. Excellent and caring staff. Excellent activities. My husband is quite content at Hartshead and I doubt that he could be anywhere better.
My husband, who suffers from Alzheimer's dementia, has been a resident at Hartshead Manor since July 2024. The staff soon got him settled in and I cannot praise them enough for the way they care and look after him. They are always polite and friendly and if I have any concerns they take time to talk to me and allay any fears and worries I have.
Staff very caring and people very well looked after. No complaints at all, highly recommend.
My father was diagnosed with terminal cancer and early dementia in April 2023 and care in his own home was unsuccessful. I spent some time researching local nursing homes and chose Hartshead Manor for the location, their experience with dementia care, and their end-of-life training (with our local hospice). What you can't be sure about in advance is the level of care being provided. My overwhelming impression is of a caring community. Hartshead felt right from the first visit. All staff are friendly, greet visitors and residents alike, and are eager to help with any request. Over the last six months, I have got to know residents and staff, enjoying my conversations and even helping to decorate one of the six Christmas trees. Key words from our experience: kind, respectful, caring, inclusive and professional.
Mum was given notice at her last care home because of her extreme needs she came to Heartshead Manor in March 2024 and the change in her behaviour and attitude over the 6 weeks she has been here has been great for us as a family and for Mum.
My mother was admitted to Hartshead Manor some 13 months ago on end of life care. I can honestly say that the love, care, dedication and commitment by the staff doing their job extended her stay and helped make her 13 months the happiest that she had experienced for several years. She used to say there are carers and people who care, the majority here fall into the latter category. Of course, there were occasions where things didn't run smooth and go to plan, but the staff and management would do anything within their powers to work things out. In a job with great demands and unsociable working times, (not to mention pay), the staff here really do care and go the extra mile, I could name names but you all know who you are! My thanks once again for making one old lady and her family very happy in her final year. Keep up the good work team.
My mother in law as been in Hartshead Manor since April 2021. She is well looked after, well fed and staff are really good with her. Meets all her needs, when she is confused the staff or manager will sit and chat with her.
My mother has advanced dementia and some complex care needs and for the last four years Hartshead Manor has been her home. The staff there are unfailingly caring and compassionate, and queries and concerns are dealt with promptly. The entertainment team work tirelessly for residents.
Excellent standard of care and support, residents treated with dignity and compassion, staff very well led, clean and tidy, helpful staff, mum seems very happy always clean and well dressed. The staff are always engaging with each individual resident. The home is bright and well led by the support staff
My wife suffers from Parkinson's Disease and Dementia. After looking after her for the past two years and due to her worsening condition I found myself unable to cope. My family and I looked at several local care homes before settling on Hartshead Manor. At first, she was not happy to be placed in a care home but the staff have been really good with her. I think that she is settling in at last although her worsening condition makes it difficult to assess. I find them extremely kind, considerate and patient. I am kept fully in touch with any problems which may arise together with any updates in her condition. Although I really miss her, I am certain that she is in the best place for us both.
