View Full Details of Manor Croft Nursing HomeMy mum was admitted on Christmas Eve from hospital. Prior to mum coming to Manorcroft we, the family, were invited to visit the home and view Mum's room, which is a lovely room, quiet, clean and comfortable. This was extremely important to us and appreciated by the family as it gave us piece of mind before Mum's arrival. Since Mum's arrival she has received what I can only describe as the very best of care, she is looked after by the staff as if she were their mother. The staff are extremely supportive and ever so considerate towards Mum and our family. I noticed that the staff are always happy and focused on the wellbeing of every one of their patients. I visit most days and each time the staff welcome me and I smile when I see how they engage with the patients whether it be a singalong or a game of dominoes. Nothing ever seems too much trouble in what I perceive as a very demanding job. So much admiration for Moorcroft Care Home and everyone working there.
Fantastic care fantastic staff, professional caring, happy with service from start to finish, a massive thank you to everyone at Manor Croft. I would recommend to everyone what needs care. Also clean, friendly, good environment for the service users.
Dad moved into Manor Croft on the 1st of September 2024 and he is very happy there. He praises the staff and the home constantly. The staff treat him very well and meet his needs always with a cheery attitude. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Dad is happy with the choice of food and tells me he enjoys his meals. I relax knowing that Dad is in safe hands.
Manor Croft is a very friednly care home, very helpful staff. Rooms are nice, management is good.
My mother has been a resident for 12 months in Manor Croft now. Since she came in she has had wonderful care and even at the age of 101 looks really well, much better than when she first came in. The staff are very kind and attend to her needs with great care and a sense of humour as she can be quite difficult at times. I never wanted her to go into a care home but am very happy she's in this care home.
All the Staff (each and every one of them) are caring, loving and thoughtful. They made me feel as though I was part of their family. I looked upon them as my friends and still do. I didn't feel as though I was going to see Mum in a care home, I felt as though I was seeing her in her own bedroom. Many thanks.
I have found this home when visiting my cousin to be very clean and welcoming. Her room and bathroom are very tidy and clean. Some entertainment at times. Needs more permanent staff but that is a problem all over the country.
When my friend's mum was accepted at Manor Croft I felt welcomed. Overall I am very impressed with the standards at Manor Croft. I have supported my friend whilst her Mum needed care. My own Mum is also needing care, she's currently in a different care home. If the day comes when my mum needs nursing care, I will push for Manor Croft. Also I will in the meantime recommend Manor Croft.
So I want to thank wonderful kind staff for the last week of my father's life. they showed understanding when I felt quite at a loss. His room pleasant, homely touches, I had just supplied photos but he passed away. He may not have understood much. I did. Many many thanks.
My father got very well looked after while he was a resident here. The staff were kind, courteous and polite. Thank you for caring for him until he passed away.
I can't thank the staff for what they did. They treat him with dignity and looked after him well. They did all they could for us. The rooms were spotless. They went out of their way to help you. I would recommend the home to anyone.
Fantastic staff. They looked after my grandad very well. They were responsive, tentative and caring. The facility is very well maintained and clean. Location was easy for me to get to and find. Nothing bad to say.
In my experience, the care received is excellent. From the care staff to management, I could not have asked for better.
After many months in hospital, my dad moved to Manorcroft on his 88th birthday. The staff baked a cake, sang happy birthday and trimmed his room as a lovely welcome to his new home. Thank you to the Manager, Deputy Manager, Activity staff and all other staff for your care, understanding and compassion towards my father and the family during our difficult time. Contact was mainly via telephone and video calls to Dad during his short stay and via these calls, we were also able to get to know the lovely staff at Manorcroft. Activity workers would update me about planned activities such as an armchair flight to Italy, Halloween, coffee mornings and how Dad was encouraged to join in and enjoy these get-togethers. You are all doing a wonderful job in these difficult times, thank you again.
The hardest decision a family can make is to entrust the care of their loved ones to a third party. I can honestly say from the moment my mother was admitted to the day she parted care we did not for one moment regret our choice of care provider. The staff became not only carers but friends to Mum and ourselves. The care she received at Manorcroft was simply exemplary and the difficulties experienced during the Covid outbreak were dealt with not just swiftly but also extremely thoroughly. A hard time for all involved and we really appreciate the sacrifices made by staff and management to ensure residents were protected and stimulated during the lockdown periods. A big heartfelt thank you to the manager and her wonderful team for the love and care given to Mum. True heroes to us.
In an age where care homes are not always up to the desired standards, it is a privilege to experience one that is exceptional.
The 2020 COVID-19 pandemic has been a very worrying time for many. I have been incredibly impressed by the proactive steps taken by local management and staff to protect residents from this pandemic. I recognise that such actions have had a significant impact on staffs personal lives. Thank you.
My uncle was admitted to Manorcroft Nursing Home; he had terminal cancer. The staff and the nursing staff were superb. They gave him and our family dignified care. I cannot fault my uncles final days. The made his passing comfortable and painless. They are all heroes in these troubling times.
I just cannot believe how lovely and caring all the staff of Manorcroft Dewsbury are. My husband had only been a patient just over a fortnight when lockdown began. It was heartbreaking as he doesn't realize what is going on. I know he is looked after brilliantly. I just hope I get the chance to see him again when all this is over. the carers are worth their weight in gold. Thanks for everything.
