The staff are dedicated to providing high-quality care, and they go above and beyond to make residents feel comfortable and at home. The home is clean and well-maintained, and the facilities are excellent. There is a wide range of activities available to residents, and they are encouraged to participate in whatever interests them. I have been very impressed with the care that my mother has received at Southfield Court. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and they have made a real difference in her life. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone looking for a place where their loved ones will be well cared for.
My mother was a resident at Southfield Court from June 24 until she passed away this month(November 24). We had, had a terrible experience at a previous care home however, we moved her to Southfield and my mother became more settled and we saw her smile again. The care home staff are fantastic and all are dedicated to their roles. They are so caring and always make you feel welcome and part of the family of Southfield Court. The home is relaxed and we felt my mother was safe and able to enjoy the last months of her life in peace due to the care she received until she passed away. The staff were so caring and supportive when the end came and we cannot thank them all enough. We will never forget their kindness and empathy during my mother's time there. Thank you to all at Southfield Court we will never forget you for all your care and peace of mind that you gave to my mother and ourselves as a family. We will miss you all!
Having viewed a number of care homes as potential placements for my father-in-law, we felt quite deflated and were waiting for one to stand out as better than the rest, this was Southfield Court. Immediately from the outside, right the way through the environment had everything that you needed and nothing you didn't, it was clean, pleasant, warm and welcoming. We were greeted by one of the HCA's who was expecting us, her tour was thorough, she gave us all the information that we needed doing so in a clear and concise manner which felt to reflect a well-informed, friendly but professional staff team. We were encouraged to bring in items that personalised the room and on admission were greeted warmly by staff members on shift. My father-in-law settled quickly and was well cared for. The open and honest ethos of the home enabled me to raise easily a couple of concerns and was thanked for bringing these to the the nurse in charge's attention.
Southfield Court has been amazing at settling my mum in after an awful hospital stay. They are restoring my faith in health care. Mum is well cared for, and so far, her needs are all being met. I feel I can talk to the staff, and they listen to me. Friendly staff who make time to care. Please keep this up.
The care home and staff are very welcoming, with a lovely welcome from the home manager and administrator to the housekeepers and care staff. Nothing is too much for anyone. All the team put you at ease in the worry times of entrusting your relatives or friends into their care. I would highly recommend.
I have found the staff, from management down to cleaners, to be very helpful and attentive. My wife came into Southfield Court requiring end-of-life care and nursing. She has received care to a high standard, sympathetic and professional. I have also been kept informed and given consideration at all times. The staff have been excellent in helping me through a very difficult period.
My stepdad settled into the home very well. Everyone was kind and attentive, and we had exceptional care when he attended his wife's funeral. He's made some good progress since he came and is well and happy.
I want to say thank you to all at Southfield Court for looking after Mum so well. On my visits, she always looks clean, comfortable and well cared for. I feed her on my visits, and the food always smells and looks good and tasty. Mum eats it all up and says it was nice. Mum can be a bit difficult at times, but the staff are very caring and handled her very well.
A pleasant home with excellent staff who work hard to fulfil residents' needs. In challenging circumstances, the staff cope and always place the need of residents as a priority.
Staff are really lovely and friendly. The manager is particularly amenable to ensuring the stay went comfortably and smoothly, and any requests were met. Another member of staff was also a great help, be it medical or technical. Lovely place with extremely hard-working staff.
I have found the regular staff very dedicated, and have cared for me with total dedication and have cared for me with respect and have helped me through my recent illness. I would definitely recommend this care home.
My wife was only there 25-days before she died on Xmas day. In my short experience, I was very impressed with the people side of the home. The staff and management were caring and considerate and treated the residents as individuals. They were prepared to listen to them. My wife was regarded as "end of life" for her last week, and I was given unlimited access to her, which I appreciated.
I would not recommend this home, for a person who needs all care and is also palliative care. Too many issues to mention which have been addressed several times but have continued. You may as well be talking to fog.
My aunt moved into Southfield Court for a period of respite following a stay in hospital. She has now returned home feeling so much better, thanks to the wonderful care she received at Southfield Court. Everyone at the home was amazing at getting her back to good health, from admission, through to her isolation period, and even a follow-up call from the home manager to ensure my auntie had settled in at home ok. I can’t thank the staff enough!
My father was only a resident for a short time, but we can see he is well cared for by the fantastic team. My family cannot thank them enough for the hard work and dedication they have shown to myself and my family. They made us feel at home when we visited. They will forever be a part of our family also.
I am happy with the care of my husband.
We moved Mum from a different care home due to some concerns. It was the best decision, only regret was not done sooner. The transition was smooth, and the service was fantastic. Mum settled amazing and seems so much happier. The staff are amazing, friendly and always available. The activities Mum has really embraced and loves her dancing and flower arranging. Information and communication are very good, and we love to see Mum in person, but also on Facebook doing her dancing and looking so happy. The rooms are basic, but all she needs is there, and they are spotless. Mum dementia is quite severe now, but we are happy she is in the right place.
My aunt was in a hospice and it was suggested that as they had stabilised her - she was at end of life care - that she be moved to a care home and this is one of the ones they gave us information on. We were extremely concerned about this and we had every right to be. The whole experience of palliative care at this place was abysmal and non-existent. The place smelled of urine, the rooms were dirty and dismal. How do they have a good CQC rating? She was left alone being sick, was reprimanded by staff when she asked for something to help her sleep - she was given a tray of food and drink and left - she had no strength to feed herself, the food they offered to a dignified lady with a colon tumour and who was on purified food was a piece of pork pie and a banana. Other residents were walking into her room, helping themselves to her belongings. She went downhill and we moved her home at her request - where she sadly passed away - what a state she was in by the time we got her home!
Friendly, caring staff in a warm, homely environment.
So well looked after. So much care... thank you.
