View Full Details of Kirkstall CourtThe home is bright and clean with lots of stimulation, sensory and pictorial. A resident was in the purpose-built kitchen attempting to cook for a family visitor prior to a trial visit to return home. Many clients have difficult pasts but are treated with respect at all times. They are all known by name by the manager who is one of the biggest reasons for the success of this home.
My brother lived at the home from July 2010 to August 2019, when he passed away peacefully at the home. He passed away in his own bed, in his own room and with not only his birth family with him but also, the family he had been part of for the past 9 years. In that time, he received excellent care and was always with treated respect and dignity. Lovely food at mealtimes, the home is warm clean and safe for all the residents, it does have a very homely feel. As the sister of a resident, I never had to worry if I could not get to see my brother each week, as I knew if anything was wrong I would be contacted by the staff. This gave me great peace of mind which is what you want when you place a loved one in a home. On visiting, you are always made welcome with tea and cake. I have been on many happy day trips out to the seaside, picnic's, theatre etc. Thank you all for being there when I needed you.
The care provided excellent care for the residents in terms of personal care, rehabilitation of daily living skills. They motivate residents to be independent, set goals and aims for each resident depending on their capacity. All staff are polite and professional.
My very good friend is living at this home. His care from all the staff is second to none. They carry out activities on a regular basis. My friend seems to be making so much positive progress, I am so proud of him. I truly believe that this care home runs with so much love and attention to detail, it is actually making a difference in everybody's life that is involved, including the clients family. To put it bluntly, it's just a great place.
