My friend appears to be happy in her surroundings.
On being admitted to Green Acres after twelve weeks in hospital my wife began to improve socially and in particular with eating and drinking. The staff attend to her well and know just how to treat her due to her illness. Thoroughly recommend.
My friend has been well looked after. Her carers are professional, efficient, kind and caring. If there have been any issues regarding her care, staff have been diligent in informing us and resolving them.
Most care given to residents is good. They go above and beyond. Although, some of the staff are questionable on whether they want to be there and care for residents.
I would like to thank the care staff and management of Green Acres Nursing Home for their kind and sensitive care of my uncle, he is a quiet and reserved man and the family were unsure how he would react to his new surroundings. I can however say that due, in no small part, to the kindness shown and attention to his needs that he is happy and settled. I would also add that when I have asked about my uncle's health, problems, needs or other issues I have raised, staff were on hand to help or advise.
The staff at Green Acres Nursing Home are always very friendly and I feel comforted to know my father is in such a nice place and looked after by such lovely people.
You always communicated with us when my dad went to hospital or an appointment but on my dad's final days you kept him as comfortable as possible. My dad was a charmer to all the staff and nurses and you were all great to him and I and my family really appreciated you looking after him. We thank you so much and it was great for you to see him off when we came down in the hearse. You should all be proud of your job and what you do and you all should be recognised by NHS as well through the Covid war.
My dad was a resident here, I just want to thank the staff that were involved in looking after him. In his final journey with the home, the staff were absolutely kind etc. The carer and kitchen staff, all staff should be recognised in care homes, because they all take a major role in all residents' lives.
Good place to be. Really nice staff. Everyone is taken care of. Everyone is always on watch and we are never ignored. Everyone are angels. The rooms are always clean. Each resident was treated with dignity. We are safe and secure.
Having to pick a care home during lockdown was so traumatic, but the manager and staff helped me answer all my questions and elevate my fears. All staff are welcoming and polite. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are lovely, spacious and clean. The care provided to my mother was amazing and above and beyond my expectations. I would highly recommend Green Acres to anybody needing nursing care.
The team have always been so helpful and very patient given the current circumstances is more important than ever. Mother has done so well after leaving the hospital and arriving. The care has given so much confidence that our decision for mother was absolutely the right one.
Dad has been in Green Acres for 18-months and has had three care home managers; changes have been made but more can be done. More communication is needed between the care home and the resident's family, this is inconsistent, getting through to the care home is an issue even when avoiding busy times. This is so important with covid restrictions. More could be done in the garden for residents and their families; involving residents if possible/able. More activities to suit residents' capabilities, stimulation is key for dementia residents.
Green Acres is a very good nursing home. The staff are well organised, friendly and caring. Facilities are very good. At this moment in time with coronavirus, I know my wife is very safe. I have no reservations in recommending Green Acres.
My wife has good care. She is treated with dignity, care and support. Good staff, good management, good rooms. Cleanliness, food and drink. Good activities.
My mother has been treated and cared for by a compassionate staff who have given their heart and soul during the pandemic to do their very best. I cannot give enough praise for all the staff who have gone beyond the call of duty. We have been kept informed at all times. We hope and with feeling, ask that you all stay safe and well.
I am very happy with the way the staff care for my dad. He is very happy there and is always treated with respect and dignity. Communication between myself and the staff is excellent, and I am confident my dad is being well cared for.
I would like to take this opportunity to commend the Green Acres Nursing Home for their excellent care they gave my mum whilst she spent the last four weeks of her life. The home is clean, caring, very dignified and compassionate towards not only patients but family members too. They even went to the extreme and gave myself and another two members of my family a room so we could put our head down and catch some sleep as we spent five nights solid as my mum was dying. They provided us with food and compassion and couldn't do enough for us. I will say this once again and for the rest of my life I'm so thankful for the care and support they gave my mum and recommend this home for anybody's loved ones.
Green Acres Care Home is such a wonderful clean, warm, caring place. I've just spent a week of visiting and staying with my mum who was 86 years old. The staff are so caring and polite, not only to my mum but with all of us too, taking time out and sitting in a room with you while you are upset, providing us with sandwiches, scones and cake on a daily basis while we were comforting our mum. We had this from all levels of staff right up to our mum passing away on the 29th February 2020. All I can say to anyone wanting a care home for their loved one is you can not go wrong choosing Green Acres. You get all you want from clean tidy rooms to 100% quality care from every member of staff, whether they do the admin work or clean, care for patients or make the food, and to Green Acres I would like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for everything each and every one of you did for my mum. Thank you.
Green Acres is a comfortable and clean environment. The resident's rooms are functional but can be made more homely by personal touches such as pictures, photographs, etc. The dining room is inviting and there is a comfortable lounge that the residents use for activities and gatherings. My dad doesn't use the communal lounge or participate in activities but from what I have heard the other residents really enjoy the singalongs! The staff are kind and attentive, a smile, a kind word and a cup of tea really helps if my dad is having a bad day or needs reassurance. The kitchen team provide very good home-cooked food and will try their utmost to meet all diets and taste. My dad has a very poor appetite but they encourage and tempt him to eat by trying different foods. Dad requires 24/7 nursing care which the home provides with the help of his onsite Nurse, GP and other care professionals so I know his health is being monitored 24/7.
