View Full Details of Harrogate Lodge Care HomeVery welcoming, staff are very helpful. Food excellent. Physio care excellent. Highly recommend.
I stayed at Harrogate Lodge Care Home for 7 weeks recently till early November. The staff were caring, kind and made me feel more confident and safe. I'm extremely likely to recommend Harrogate Lodge Care Home to anyone who feels they need full time care.
Outstanding! From the first welcoming phone call to our final farewell hugs! I could not have asked for more from every member of staff.
My mum has been here for 3 years, and the care she has received has been magnificent. She was withdrawn, underweight and lost when she arrived but now she has daily stimulation, staff who care and love her. She now has a healthy weight, interacts with everyone and is always smiling or singing with happiness. I am so pleased with the care my mum receives and the way our family is kept informed of her progress and any issues. The best thing that we ever did for our mum was to move her to Harrogate lodge!
I can't thank the team enough for the level of care they have provided for me and helped me as well. We have gone from one extreme to another with home and the team here. They not only look after my mum they try and make her special and they really care. Can't thank them enough
Mum has Alzheimer's and has been at Harrogate Lodge for over 2 years. The care and attention she has been given and the welcome we get when we visit is excellent. Mum is happy she has been difficult at times but the staff have the training and understanding to manage dementia patients. She is kept occupied and enjoys the activities provided. I have peace of mind that she is being well cared for.
Mum has settled in well to Harrogate Lodge and seems to have developed a good relationship with the staff. I am kept up to date with any physical changes that have occurred. Both myself and my family are welcome to see Mum at any time. The home made every effort to help Mum to engage in the activities.
My husband was in Harrogate Lodge, Leeds for almost five years. A wonderful, caring home. All the staff are wonderful, caring people. He was extremely happy there. He passed away in February this year. His care towards the end was amazing. They looked after me and my family with the most professional care. I still like to go into the home as I have, over the years, made such wonderful friends. I cannot praise them enough for all they have done for our family.
Excellent staff, caring, helpful and friendly.
Mum has been a resident on the dementia suite for two years now. During this time she has received outstanding care. The staff are like an extended family and treat her with kindness and respect. Her room is always clean and tidy and there a is lovely co-ordinator who provides excellent daily activities to keep residents involved. Mum is taken out and there is a garden to sit out in when the weather permits. Staff care about the resident and their family and a lovely warm welcome always awaits on each visit. I receive regular updates and staff are always approachable if I have any concerns. Can't praise them highly enough for their care and dedication to keeping Mum safe and happy.
Lack of communication with the staff and the patients and the food is not at all good. The staff are not nice and polite, and some of the staff very rude to the people.
When I arrived I was welcomed wonderfully. But when handed over to two young ladies to complete the admissions form (a tick box questionnaire). They requested that my husband went on the landing to sit, (to which I objected to). They were adamant that this was going to happen. I reminded them several times that my husband, of 66 years, was not going to happen. They had no idea how of handling this and I feel that a short introduction to this questionnaire would be advisable (customer care).
Our aunt was a resident for eight years. I would like to express our gratitude for the care she has received at Harrogate Lodge. The staff are amazing, going above and beyond with the residents. We have nothing but good things to say about these caring people - and when the time came, they were equally amazing with us being supportive and compassionate. Forever grateful.
My aunt was a resident in the dementia unit for eight years prior to her death on 8th April 2024. She has in the past eight years had excellent care from a caring team of staff, including care workers, nurses and the admin team. We cannot fault the care and love given to our family member.
Every member of staff who looked after my mum was exceptional. Their care, happy nature and ensuring her dignity are unbelievable and incomparable to the previous care home we had experienced. Harrogate Lodge is looking tired but hygiene was always of a good standard and I believe there are plans for a refurbishment. Thank you to all involved in her care and recovery.
My stay in Harrogate Lodge was very comfortable although I would have liked to be at home. My stay was very pleasant, the staff were absolutely brilliant.
My husband, during his stay at Harrogate Lodge, was treated with the utmost kindness and excellent care. The staff were all very friendly and pleasant to our family. The home was warm and the food was very varied with plenty of choice. We couldn't fault Harrogate Lodge.
Carpark a little small and tight spaces for lager cars. Warmly welcomed, guided to friend's room. Super clean in all areas we saw. Staff were all happy to help us with whatever we asked, gentle with service users. Smiles and banter with us all. Lifting spirits of users, a happy place to be. A wonderful group of staff. A pleasure to visit.
The home is lovely and wonderful staff care and love they give to the patients and how hard they have to work with situations that occur in front of them that they have to cope with. They are all angels.
Harrogate Lodge Care Home is a care home that really cares! The administration, nurses, carers, and cleaners all work in harmony to provide support to all residents. All are supported by an excellent team of physios. I could not walk but after 2 weeks of care, I walked out of Harrogate Lodge. Thank you all!
