View Full Details of Mulgrave HouseMy dad was extremely poorly when he entered the home. His needs were complex but the home was happy to admit him and looked after him with skill and compassion. As a family, we were updated constantly on his treatments and health. During his final days/hours, we were constantly kept informed and invited to come and be with him when it looked like he had little time left. Our family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to all staff at the home for making my dad's last few weeks as comfortable as possible.
The first time I contacted the home to enquire about a placement for my mother I found them very helpful and informative. The social worker involved left me on my own to deal with the problem at a depressing time and was very unhelpful. The home manager took the time to explain the options and the things to look out for. They did the assessment and kept me fully informed and while my mother was anxious on arriving at the home, the nurses and staff soon made her comfortable and settled. Despite the COVID situation I got to see her in the inside visiting booth and when she became poorly we were allowed into the home. My mother spoke highly of the staff and enjoyed the home baking especially. She also got to play cards with the staff which is something she always enjoyed when she was younger. Thank you from all of us.
A very big thank you from my brother and me to all the staff at Mulgrave House for making our mother very comfortable and happy during the several months she was a resident in your care home after 2 serious falls over the summer. The staff showed a lot of care and compassion to make Mother feel that she was amongst friends. Also thank you for showing compassion to my brother and me during this difficult time.
My mum was in the nursing home after a nasty fall, like most people I hoped my mum would never need this care. What an eye opener. The staff in the home are amazing, they treat everyone with respect and dignity but most of all they care about the residents. From the lady who serves the tea to the senior nurse, everyone has a smile no matter what task they are doing. They talk to the residents like normal human beings and importantly they listen. My mum has now returned home after 4 weeks, she is the first to admit that she wanted to come home BUT she was sad to leave the staff behind. They have been her friend , her confidante and lastly her carer. THANK YOU does not seem an adequate enough work for these wonderful people.
