View Full Details of Croft House Care HomeMum was in the home for two and a half years as she had vascular dementia. The staff were always good and treated my mum like their own. She died peacefully in her sleep and the care the team gave her was wonderful. All the staff are amazing from the top to catering and cleaning staff well done to you all. Thank you for all you did.
My husband has been in Croft House for 6 weeks in that time the treatment and kindness from all the staff were wonderful. We couldn't have asked for anything better. The nursing, activities, food, and general carers were all excellent.
Dad was in respite and the manager couldn't do enough for us. Any issues were dealt with at once. Staff were good to Dad and he felt at home. Dietary needs were met and no issues.
My lovely mum was cared for in the dementia unit for 6 months until she passed on 25th September 2023. While there her care was brilliant as she was also suffering from cancer. The staff were very caring, approachable and compassionate. The last three days of her life I stayed with my mum at the home, the staff were lovely towards me and mum and very supportive. I would like to thank them for helping me and my family through a very sad time.
My sister has been at Croft House now for two years. The care she has received has been outstanding. It is good to know that she is being well looked after. All the staff treat her with dignity and show her lots of compassion. She couldn't ask for any better care.
My mother is well looked after. She is clean and dressed in fresh clothes every day. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. The activities Mum has been involved with have been stimulating and fun. All areas are clean, and her room is bright with a view of the garden.
Mum is a new resident and has found the transition challenging. Staff have been kind, patient even on her bad days. Nice room with a lovely view of the garden.
The place is clean, friendly, food is excellent. Only down - more staff needed, so they can spend individual time with the residents, talking with them. The staff available are all wonderful but busy doing their required jobs. Another member of staff would be fantastic to talk to the residents.
My husband only spent 3 weeks in Croft House but I can not praise them highly enough. Every single person we came into contact with could not have been more kind. My husband had Parkinson's and severe Dementia and was very poorly. The kindness shown to myself and my family was outstanding.
Excellent treatment, lovely home, looks like a hotel! The member of staff at the entrance desk is a wonderful and very friendly kind lady.
Both of my parents are nursed at Croft House Care Home and have been for years now and I couldn't be happier. They are very well cared for and nothing is too much trouble. And I can go home on a night or relax at home knowing they're safe.
Night shift could possibly help by doing washing.
Everyone is helpful and most of the carers are friendly and caring towards the residents.
If you want your loved one to be loved cared for and treated with respect, Croft House isn’t the place for them. Three years ago the home was lovely the manager (a lady) was brilliant. Unfortunately, she left and Croft House just went downhill. I’ve noticed previous negative reviews have been removed??
We have experienced a very upsetting few months recently in relation to my mum’s basic care needs not being met. There appears to be insufficient staffing on the dementia unit which is leaving residents at risk. The quality of food is very poor as is the decor, the unit feels like it has been forgotten. My mum is not treated with dignity or respect. Some of mum’s clothes have gone missing, I’m not quite sure what happens in the laundry as nothing ever looks clean or pressed with white items grey. My mum has always taken pride in her appearance so why do people in supposed caring roles think that it is ok to treat mum with little or no respect just because she has Alzheimer’s disease, my mum is still my mum and deserved to be treated with dignity. I am in the process of searching for a new care home for mum as I do not feel she is safe or well cared for.
After an upsetting beginning in the dementia unit, my husband was transferred to the nursing unit. He has settled in well, and the setting suits him well. The care given to my husband has been very good, and the staff are all very friendly. All his needs are being met, and I have noticed an improvement in his mood. I thank all the staff for their care and attention.
I appreciate the dedicated team and the way they care for my mum. Mum has settled down and her agitation seems under control.
I did not put down anything for activities - my mother is bedbound but has a TV in her room which she likes. As for food and drink, my mother cannot take milk or cram, only milk in her cup of tea. Nice, clean room - my mother gets changed regularly and is clean and tidy. Visiting times at the care home are excellent. Myself, father, brother and his family all visit at regular times through the week and at the weekend.
Everything is very good. The staff are always ready to welcome you and look after him very well. I feel very content knowing he is cared for and secure. They take notice of everything he says. Nothing is too much trouble. I would like to thank everyone.
I have found the whole experience of visiting my sister to be really good. The staff, from management to care staff, are excellent. They have helped my sister to settle in during a difficult time. They have helped arrange for her to be taken out on numerous occasions. The home provides everything she needs and nothing seems to be a problem. All the staff are very friendly and approachable. Top marks to all concerned, we are happy she is well cared for.
