View Full Details of Snapethorpe Hall Care HomeI am very happy here. The staff are all very good and very helpful.
The whole team are incredibly lovely, from the manager down. My Grandad is well looked after, loves the entertainment and has a great relationship with everyone at the home.
Our experience of Snapethorpe Hall Care Home so far is excellent. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Mum's room is comfortable and clean with a nice view out of the window. We would recommend.
Excellent care always looking for ways to stimulate the mind with things to do and lot of activities to keep them occupied. The home is always clean and tidy, the food is excellent. Mum has really flourished since moving in.
My grandma is very happy here and has made multiple friends, she is positively influenced to take part in all the activities and trips provided despite her sometimes being very down. The staff take good care of her and make her feel right at home.
I highly recommend Snapethorpe Hall Care Home, very clean full of entertainment and activities my Dad is very happy very warm and carpets in their room. Staff very helpful and friendly beautiful outdoor garden balcony.
My father came to the care home in September 2024 and so far I think it is the best thing to happen for him. The meals he gets are sufficient, his room is nice and warm, One member of staff in particular is very warm and welcoming, always there if you have any questions, I even discussed my dads 80th birthday and she was excited to help with planning it (it's not until March). The office staff are nice and approachable, the careers are also nice. They have also arranged for my dad to have a hearing test which is brilliant. So far my experience and my dad's has all been positive.
Overall I would consider my experience at this care home to be very good. My great-grandmother has been at this care home for at least 2 years and despite her dementia she seems to be right at home and the staff do their upmost to provide above and beyond care to make sure she is safe comfortable. You can tell a lot of care and love has gone into the care home and because of this I would highly recommend.
The main thing is that Grandma is happy and safe. She often tells us how happy she is and that the staff are wonderful and will do anything for her. Thank you.
Staff very friendly, very clean.
Excellent service and care from the staff at Snapethorpe Hall in the lead-up to and throughout the Christmas period. So many cheerful and enthusiastic activities were provided to ensure the residents had a wonderful festive experience. The staff really went out of their way to make it memorable. Thank you!
The carers at this home truly excel at what they do. A particular member of staff and her dedicated team consistently go above and beyond to ensure the residents feel comfortable, valued, and cared for. Their commitment to creating a positive and supportive environment is evident in everything they do, from providing exceptional day-to-day care to fostering a genuine sense of community among the residents. It's incredibly heartwarming to see how much joy they bring to the lives of those in their care. One of the standout aspects of this home is the emphasis on fun and engagement. The team works hard to organise a variety of activities that keep the residents entertained and stimulated, whether it's through games, group outings, or creative workshops. It's clear that they understand the importance of mental and emotional well-being just as much as physical health. Knowing that my gran is in such capable hands brings immense peace of mind.
The 2024 residents' Christmas party at Snapethorpe Hall was a delightful event enjoyed by all attendees. It was heartening to witness everyone collaborating to create festive decorations and engaging in activities such as party games and the "Guess the Reindeer's Name". The Christmas raffle added an extra layer of excitement to the celebration. The staff at Snapethorpe Hall truly excel, demonstrating exceptional dedication and care. Thank you to all for making it such a wonderful experience.
My mum has been a resident for just over 1 year. She was quite poorly when she went into the home after being diagnosed with Alzheimer's. She wasn't eating and not speaking very well. After a while with the care she was given, she started putting weight on and was able to make a few friends. The staff work so hard in what is a very challenging profession and I can't fault anyone. Mum will be 93 years old in April and she is very happy where she now lives.
I have visited this and many other care homes in the locality regularly. It was my privilege to celebrate Communion with the residents of the care home on a monthly basis when I was the curate in the parish. Every time I visited, whether expected or not, the residents I saw were well cared for and treated with dignity and respect. The staff always seemed to care for the residents as if they were their own family members. The home has always been clean and well maintained. They also recognised the value that even people with advanced dementia could gain from worship and included them in our monthly services as often as they were able to and they encouraged any resident who would value engaging in worship to be a part of the service. I've been in other places where the care is very different and whenever I am asked about good care homes locally this is one of the examples I think of. Thank you for all you do.
My mum feels very happy at the care home as she loves the staff and especially the activity coordinator. My mum loves the activities and the day trips and has made friends. She is always happy to share videos and tells us about future events and my mum's involvement. We can't praise her enough as she is an asset to the team.
The level of care at Snapethorpe has honestly been absolutely incredible. Despite my gran not wanting to leave her home town of Horbury, the people who care for her have been endlessly patient and kind. Taking her on trips out to Sheffield, to Roundhay Park in Leeds, to visit farms to see animals (goats etc). Also the activities manager is always doing arts and crafts with the residents who are interested. Making Halloween masks and painting little pumpkins last week! Gran is always clean and well-fed too. Her hygiene needs are always met. Doctors' visits and help with meds etc if need to change. I honestly could not ask for more. We brought Gran here from word-of-mouth reviews, and I'm so happy we talked to those people and got those recommendations.
My husband became a resident of Snapethorpe Care Home in March 2024. After a Rocky start, I'm pleased to say he has settled down! The home is spotlessly clean and all the staff are super friendly and helpful working long shifts. Good teamwork! Recently it was my husband's 90th birthday, what a fantastic party they put on for him, I couldn't thank them enough that expression 'a good time was had by all' certainly applied. I would recommend Snapethorpe Care Home.
We chose Snapethorpe for Mum's respite care following a period in hospital and because she has dementia . The staff have been very understanding with Mum who isn't always easy to pacify due to her mental state . The lady who organises activities is an absolute gem and a massive asset to the home . She goes out of her way to email photos to me showing Mum participating in activities such as ceramic painting and a visit to a farm. Mum had previously had respite in other care homes and this one has been the best in providing Mum with activities to keep her busy as that is what she needs to keep her engaged and happy. I am truly grateful to all the staff and hope Mum can be a permanent resident there when her respite is over.
Very good and the staff are excellent. The menus need updating. Everything else is very good.
