View Full Details of Warde Aldam Nursing HomeIn the 3 months since visiting WA, we have peace of mind when leaving our loved one in their care.
I would like to thank everyone at Warde Aldam Nursing Home for their care and kindness not only to my mother but to the whole family.
We visited our friend and we were treated kindly with all the staff we encountered.
The care that my mum was given at Warde Aldam was excellent. The residents and staff became her family and I'm sure she would have agreed that she couldn't have been in a better place. I can't thank the team enough, we couldn't have done it without you. Mum was always treated with love and dignity right to the end. Thank you to each and every one of you.
Could not have wished for a better home. All the staff are friendly, helpful and very caring with all their residents.
Very happy with the care my wife is receiving.
Mam went into Warde Aldam on 12/02/2024 and passed away on 08/05/2024. The care she received was second to none, nothing was a bother to the staff, they were so professional and friendly and didn't have to worry so much. We are so grateful for the dignity that they showed her as before the dementia she was a very proud woman and they gave her that back. Can't thank the staff enough. Please keep up the great work. Many thanks.
I visited my dear sister on the 31st of May and the 1st and 2nd of June 2024. I live in Northumberland so stayed with my sister's family. They are very happy with this home and during my visits, I could see why. Friendly, caring and helpful staff. Lovely grounds for the residents to safely walk around. I feel content to know that my sister is safe and well cared for. I had not rated a couple of options as I had no experience to call on. Thank you.
Mum has been a respite user for the last month. The team at Warde Aldam have treated her with care and respect. They have made all the family very welcome. The room mum has is lovely and has a wonderful view of the gardens. Mum is cared for and her well-being is always considered. I and my dad cannot thank them all enough.
Our father was well looked after during his short stay, he had complex medical needs which further affected his dementia, these were met with care, compassion and professionalism. The staff and management were very friendly and always ready to answer any questions or concerns we had. Dad could be very stubborn at times but the staff were always patient with him. The downside to our experience, wish his room had been a little bigger.
On entering reception, I was greeted with a smile and a warm 'hello'. She knew my name and who I had come to see. I gave her two bunches of flowers to put in the house for everyone to enjoy. She said how nice of me to do that and thanked me very much. I explained how nice the home was, showing much care and understanding, and unfolding oozed out of this home, making my sister feel loved and wanted, so very important for us to feel this and my sister has thrived in such an unfolding environment. On entering the lounge, the staff seemed pleased to see us, they were busy helping residents with various activities. One of the carers showed us pictures of many activities they had been doing and talked about them with my sister and some of the other residents. Lovely, homely feel.
We chose Warde Aldam after a careful review of 6 homes in the area, and have been nothing but impressed with our choice. His care needs meant he had to move in very quickly, and the home were so helpful and accommodating. Since becoming a resident the staff could not have done more for him or our family, and have made his last days as comfortable as they could possibly be. As there's only two of us my son and I have spent a lot of time at the home, and the staff here have been so kind in providing us with meals, space to rest and a kind word when needed so that we could focus on spending quality time with him. They were always on hand when we needed advice or an update, and that was true regardless of the time of day or who we asked; from the lady on reception to the overnight team - we cannot speak highly enough of any of them. We are so pleased that we chose Warde Aldam for his care, and would highly recommend their services to those in need of support for the care of their loves ones.
From management to admin, carers and nurses absolutely fantastic. They all make a great team together.
My husband recently passed away at Warde Aldam Nursing Hone. He had the best care any family could wish for. He lived there for just over 3 years. The care from nurses and carers, management, domestic staff, cooks, volunteers, and everyone went above and beyond not just for my husband but for all residents. I would recommend Warde Aldam Nursing Home to anyone who asks me. the staff are worth their weight in gold. Once again thank you to all the staff at Warde Adam from myself and my family.
My husband was in Warde Aldam with dementia before he recently passed away. He was very well looked after by genuine caring staff. They would update me on his welfare and activities or even just a chat. He had plenty of good food and was free to wander around but always watched. Admin staff were approachable and friendly too.
My sister-in-law was at Warde Aldam from September to December. She had vascular dementia and Alzheimer's and was in the dementia unit. The staff there were extremely kind, caring, well-trained and nothing was too much trouble for them. They had some very difficult residents but they were all treated with dignity, respect and well-supported. The atmosphere was always bright and cheerful like one big happy family. The unit was well staffed even with a handyman who would do anything at any time to help. Whenever you rang in, someone always answered the phone. When my sister-in-law had a stroke, I did not get there before she left for hospital but a member of staff went with her and stayed to make sure she was alright. She came back to the nursing unit for her final days and again the staff there were kind, caring and supportive both to her and to me. I felt the home was extremely well managed in all areas and had a lovely, caring family atmosphere. There was always a welcome smile. I would certainly recommend it to anyone and have booked my place should I ever need one!
My mum has recently passed away and we cannot thank Warde Aldam enough for all the wonderful care and support they have given to Mum, and us, over the last months. We are so very grateful she had them all to look after her, and it was always comforting for us to know how well she was being looked after. We were always made so welcome. Thank you again to a really great team for all their hard work. We hope they all realise how invaluable they all are and what a difference they make to people's lives by doing what they do.
Very happy with the care my mother is receiving since her move from New Haven. Mum is comfortable and happy at Warde Aldham Nursing Home.
My dad has been in Warde Aldam for 11 months. He settled straight away. We, as a family, have never had any concerns or worries about him. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff, and we are constantly being updated. His room is always clean and tidy.
My husband has been in Warde Aldam Nursing Home for almost twelve months. In that time he has come on with his state of mind so good, it's the care he is getting. Everyone is so patient, also he enjoys the food as he has put on two stone which he really needed to. To me, I am so pleased with the care he is getting and I am very grateful and thankful.
