View Full Details of Beverley Grange Nursing HomeEvery time I visit the home I am always met with a smile and a very friendly environment. The home is always clean and tidy and all the staff and residents are happy and relaxed. There is always plenty of activities for the residents to join in with and there's always a staff member to help if needed.
Staff inform me of any issues and are always available when I have a query. The staff are friendly and approachable. My aunt receives good care. The building is kept in good order making it safe, clean and appropriate for its purpose. The garden offers a good alternative space when visiting in the summer months. The meals are good. Activities are varied, and the coordinator is first class.
From stepping in to leaving, every member of staff is polite, helpful, responsive and respectful. My mum is very well cared for and you can feel a genuine warmth towards her from the staff. They have a good working knowledge of Mum and from my observations, when staff are with Mum, they are very caring, gentle and communicate with her in a lovely positive manner.
Mum (who will be 98 in April) has been a resident for several years. She is well looked after and very happy here. The staff are kind, caring, respectful and kind. The home is well maintained and clean. There are activities for the residents on most days. Special days and occasions such as St George's Day and Easter are celebrated in style with residents making many of the decorations during their activities. We, as a family, are happy with Mum's care.
My Mother was discharged hospital with a terminal illness and was a resident of Beverley Grange Nursing Home for the last almost six months of her life. The care that she received was excellent, as was the compassion shown both to her and her visiting relatives.
I cannot recommend Beverley Grange Nursing Home highly enough. A very caring and welcoming place to both Mum and I. It felt like extended family. They made the difficult decision of putting Mum into a home so much easier. I cannot thank them enough for all they did for her and for the support they gave me and my sister. It was above and beyond what was expected.
My husband has been a nursing resident at Beverley Grange Nursing Home for almost eighteen years. For all of this time, his care has been exceptional. He has complex needs and all of this has been attended to completely. The nursing and caring staff are always kind and helpful, not just to my husband but to me too. They all have been wonderful to us both. If (and this rarely happens) I have a worry or a little niggle, the response from the staff has always been prompt, helpful and calming. I would not have allowed my husband to live for such a long time in a nursing home if I had not been completely satisfied with his care.
My mother has recently been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and it was becoming more difficult for her to remain at home and receive care there. All of the staff at Beverley Grange Nursing Home were incredibly helpful and accommodating in welcoming my mother into the home. Nothing was too much trouble and despite my mother wanting to be there, they have encouraged her to participate in the daily activities and made her feel at home. It is a relief to see my mother being cared for by such wonderful staff which allows myself and the rest of the family to visit as family and not as carers.
My mum was admitted to Beverly Grange Nursing Home fourteen months ago from hospital where I was told that she had between six and twelve months to live. Sixteen months later, she is still here and I put all that down to the care she receives at Beverly Grange. The staff are amazing, helpful, friendly and always on hand to go that extra mile which means a lot. There is a fabulous entertainment team, again, going above and beyond to do different things to keep the residents entertained, to keep their minds and bodies occupied while they are there. I cannot thank the whole of the team at Beverly Grange enough because they’re giving me so much more time with my mum, she’s so content and she has made friends and it’s such a pleasure to see a smile on her face. The whole of the team at Beverly Grange deserves a very big pat on the back, they should be proud of what they do because it’s never an easy decision to put a loved one in the care home, they also helped me adjust to the situation as well.
My mother has been a resident for almost two years and throughout that time, she has received excellent care from cheerful and competent staff. She has needed medical attention on several occasions and action has always been taken promptly to ensure she receives attention in the most appropriate way. I feel I have been kept fully informed of any issues and consider that both my requests and her preferences have been taken into account. While nothing can ever replace someone’s own home, the staff do everything they can to provide supervision, company and stimulation that would be missing if she were to have stayed in her own home with intermittent carers visiting. The home has taken a weight off my shoulders.
Very nice place but very poorly run. When my father first arrived for respite care we thought how lucky we were for him to be placed in such a nice home. Unfortunately, that feeling was fleeting as we soon discovered there wasn't a lot of care in this care home. He was often left for days at a time in the same soiled clothing and bedding and not all of his medication was administered. He had issues eating and would hide food but none of the staff seemed bothered and on occasion even cancelled his meals. When we asked if he could be supervised in the dining room he was taken once and it became apparent even that was too much trouble for them and he was effectively left to starve. Luckily we found him another care home that met all his needs with proper care, dignity and respect. In all honesty, I wouldn't keep a dog in Beverley Grange. The management at Beverley Grange couldn't manage the proverbial in a brewery and they certainly don't manage the staff there.
