View Full Details of Sandhall ParkMy mum soon settled into Sandhall Park, Her room was comfortable and clean and she had items of furniture and memorabilia around her. She loved the staff who always considered her needs and treated her with dignity. The family are pleased that Mum spent her final months in a happy caring environment. Thank you, Sandhall Park.
This home is excellent. My brother is a resident here and when I visit I always receive a warm welcome from the staff. The care my brother receives is excellent and he is always clean and tidy. He says the food is good. The manager is extremely approachable and always happy to discuss any queries I have. I am happy my brother is well cared for.
My 94-year-old father stayed here for a fortnight after a spell in hospital. I really didn’t think he would settle, but he has thoroughly enjoyed his stay and plans to come back for respite when I go on holiday. The manager is very approachable and, without exception, every member of staff is friendly and compassionate. The food is good, everywhere is spotlessly clean and fresh smelling and some nice activities going on. Would highly recommend it.
Following recent visits to Sandhall Park to see my partner's Mum, we found some staff to be quite unprofessional. Basic care tasks were unmet leaving her with food-stained clothes and unkempt hair. On a couple of occasions, I witnessed moving and handling techniques to be very poor. Very disappointed all-round.
This home is amazing. My parent went there from another home. The comparison is unbelievable. The home is clean and welcoming. The staff are so friendly and caring. While my parent was ill, they kept me informed at all times. Nothing is ever too much trouble. I feel I can always ask questions.
I visit the home each day, and I receive a warm welcome from all the staff. My husband is happy here; he says the food is good. He is always clean, and his room is tidy. I would give Sandhall Park four stars for the care he has received. Thank you, Sandhall Park.
My father has been a resident at Sandhall Park for almost two years. Previously he had been in care in another care home. The move was the best thing I ever did. The care is by far superior at Sandhall Park. My father has severe dementia and the care staff were amazing and he settled so well. I cannot fault any member of staff. The manager is very approachable and always able to explain. She runs a good ship. Recently my father has died and the palliative care that was given was exemplary.
My mum came to Sandhall for respite and is now a permanent resident. The transition was difficult for all of us and this was handled with compassion by the manager and her team and I am very grateful. My mum has settled very well and is now engaging with other residents and joining in the many activities on offer. I was able to have lunch with her on Mothering Sunday which is a great idea and am hoping to do this again on her birthday. I would recommend to anyone looking at residential care to visit and have a chat with the manager who is extremely approachable. I have nothing but praise for the staff, including the cleaners who are always pleasant and happy to help/answer any questions you have. I am now very happy that my mum is safe and well cared for.
Sandhall Park has just enjoyed their summer fayre with tombola, book stall, crafts and raffle. The staff worked really hard to make it a success and were very considerate to the residents who wished to avoid the crowds. This is a very warm, friendly and family orientated care home with knowledgeable and understanding staff for both residents and relatives.
I have found the staff to be very he4lpful and caring. My mother is so happy there, she loves the activities they do and says the staff are good to her, which is nice to know.
My mother has been a resident here since January. The staff:- Hard working yet constantly smiling, caring, laughing with the residents and lovely towards her and every resident I hear them speak to. Nothing is too much trouble to any one of them, they are ready to help and listen. Lovely caring people. Food:- The food is exceptional and such a varied menu. Cleanliness:- I have visited several care homes and some where there can be unpleasant odours but NOT at Sandhall. The cleaning of rooms, corridors, toilets and public area is excellent. Activities:- Always something going on entertainment, crafts. Entering residential care is a hard time for all concerned but mum’s and my decision for her to go live at Sandhall was the best decision we made. I visit Mum every day and would highly recommend Sandhall should you be looking for a care home.
Find the care quite lapse at times. I have requested things on various occasions for these just to be pushed to one side. I find Sandhall Park activities geared up more for women. There used to be outings but these appear to be non-existent.
The care home is very friendly and the facilities are good. The staff are approachable and will go the extra mile to help out whenever they can.
The staff can be relied upon to look out for any health problems. Management deal immediately with any problems. Care is satisfactory. Possibly more activities could be provided.
My Mother is on an 'end of life' care plan and has been bedbound for thirteen weeks, unable to look after her needs i.e., washing, feeding, moving, standing, commoding, conversing at times. The staff have been very good at looking after all her needs and the family too. Our grateful thanks go to all the staff who have looked after Mum with tenderness, humour, degnity and encouragement. WELL DONE.!
Mother moved to Sandhall Park Care Home in May of this year when the previous home where she had lived for almost five years closed at very short notice. Unfortunately, she is in an 'end of life' condition, with extreme dementia and totally dependent for all aspects of care. The staff and the home have looked after her very well. She has a nice bright, airy, spacious room. The standard of care and assistance she receives is very good. I am very thankful that mother was able to move to Sandhall Park and very grateful for all the care and kindness shown to her by the staff at the home.
A good well run clean home.
The staff were wonderful to my mum I felt they care about her. There was lots of activities, my mum enjoyed playing dominos and bingo. She said the food was lovely and had no complaints (which is unusual) I never noticed an unpleasant smell. My mum was in for a week.
With the few staff here they do an amazing job but could do with more to help residents with toilet and other needs especially when a few residents need attention others have to wait a long time until they can be attended to.
