View Full Details of St Marys Chanterlands Care HomeWow what an amazing home. When you enter the atmosphere is so welcoming Everyone is polite, helpful and happy you see so many smiling faces. My mum was unhappy in her previous care home and is so much happier here, many thanks to all the staff.
From seeing the home online to my Sister moving in was so easy. The friendly admin gave a wonderful tour and gave all the information we needed. The manager came and introduced herself and was warm and kind. All the staff are brilliant with my sister and it's the happiest I have seen her. All staff plays an important role and we can not thank them enough.
One word - Outstanding from the first initial visit you could truly see how exceptional the services and staff were at looking after the residents. They truly thought of everything. My mother was and is very happy and enjoyed the daily different activities provided by the amazing activities coordinators. The facilities in the new home were that of a 5-star hotel! Thank you all at St Marys for everything you continue to do.
It feels like home.
Highly recommend. New building is amazing, and all the staff are wonderful and caring.
St Marys has helped my dad so much since he became a resident in March 2024. It's the happiest we've seen him in many years and that's all down to the amazing staff.
The staff here are amazing. They are kind, caring and helpful to residents and families alike. The new home 'the big house' is beautiful. The food is amazing with plenty of variety to choose from. The activity staff are always doing things with and for the residents. Thank you everyone.
1st class staff really look after my brother exceptionally well. With special thanks to the senior care assistant and the entertainment staff who try to keep his mind occupied.
The new St Marys home is fantastic. Everything you could possibly want. Better than a five-star hotel.
Wonderful place and staff, would recommend to anyone.
Mum came into St Mary's needing care and support, and the staff have given Mum friendship and kindness! All the staff from the cleaners to the nurses are amazing! Me and my brother can spend time with our families knowing Mum is well looked after by all the staff. Mum has only been at St Mary's two weeks and we've noticed such a difference physically and she's becoming 'my happy mum' again after the loss of Dad.
My grandad was brought in as an emergency from another home. He was only with the home for 5 days as he was end of life and the care he received was outstanding. The staff couldn’t do enough for him and us as a family. We are so grateful for the care he received.
My grandad came for emergency respite. Manager and all staff were amazing. He was well looked after, and nothing was too much trouble. 100% will recommend this home. End-of-life care was fantastic.
My dad was brought into the home for respite but ended up end-of-life. The care and support is 100%. Could not wish for a better place for my dad's last days.
Polite, professional and friendly staff. Good facilities. Excellent care.
My little mum has been a resident at St Mary's for four years, and in those four years, she has been shown nothing but kindness. Towards the end, the dementia often made our little mum challenging. The staff all loved Mum, and she was treated like family, like their granny. If she ever fell over, they took good care of her and rang us immediately. We cannot thank them enough. Our mum's face lit up when the staff came to chat with her. When Mum passed away recently, they were there for her, myself and my sisters. Fantastic staff!
My 94-year-old mother has just passed away in St Mary’s. All I can say is that we, as a family, wouldn’t have wanted her to be anywhere else. She has been well looked after, and the staff have been amazing throughout her four years there. They went above and beyond and really looked after us too, in the final days of Mother's life. There are some very special people in there. I would recommend the home to anyone who is considering a loved one staying there! It’s a challenging job, and I have nothing but praise for the whole team - thank you all.
My mum has the absolute best care we could have hoped for. She stated, "I couldn't have had better service if I was in a top London hotel". All the staff are very professional and love their jobs.
My relative has been at St Mary's for about six weeks. Initially, she came for respite but has stayed on as this is the best care option for her. She says she is being very well looked after. She can be stubborn about leaving her room but then realises it's the best thing for her to get out of bed, so thank you for getting her confidence back.
I was very involved in the admission of my friend for a short stay to enable her daughter to go on a break. I was and still am most impressed with the staff and management and the way they enabled and reassured my friend in a very difficult situation. I have visited regularly and found my friend settled and happy with other residents, chatty and laughing. The food looks lovely and is always served on lovely, clean tablecloths. Nothing too much trouble for anyone. So pleased that, although the home was getting ready for refurbishment, it has not affected good care.
