View Full Details of Bridgewater Park Care HomeThroughout Mum's 14 month stay at Bridgewater - initially on the dementia side, then in palliative care for the final 2 weeks, she was in very good hands. We felt sure at all times that she was safe, comfortable, and treated with respect and dignity. All staff were kind and helpful. Our thanks go to the wonderful team at Bridgewater.
My mum moved into the dementia section at Bridgewater Park over a year ago, it has been heartbreaking to watch her condition deteriate, but at the same receiving the best possible care from all of the staff. Thank you Bridgewater Park.
My mother has been in Bridgewater Park Care Home for over eighteen months. Thank God she's so happy, they take extremely good care of her, all the staff from the nurses, cleaners, carers, laundry staff and kitchen staff, everyone. They are like her second family and mine, so thoughtful, caring and considerate, nothing is too much. Any time my mum has been poorly they have been straight on the phone to ask advice from her doctor and any small issues are dealt with immediately. I go every day, near enough, to see my mum and chat with all the staff, great bunch, and they always pop in to have a chat with my mum if I don't go. I have realised from all this time what a great job all the staff do, even though understaffed at times, no resident goes without and my mum loves the food and especially all the delicious puddings. I would just like to thank everyone for making my mum's life worth living and don't get me wrong, she can be a bit of a diva sometimes as we all know.
Staff taking long time to answer calls when buzzed. Mum left in soiled nappies for long periods. Room not always cleaned daily. Have had to ask for toilet to be cleaned and bin to be emptied on more than one occasion. Not enough nursing staff over weekends. One nurse for all the patients on Mum's side of the home is not good enough. Mum left in pain for long periods before any pain relief administered.
He was very well cared for. I am happy with the care he received.
Took my brother in without any assessment. Substandard care from the start. Unable to meet his personal care needs, he went without a proper wash for over 6 months causing the most horrific pressure sore!. Alarms from rooms are turned to silent and staff cherry pick which residents they help! Residents left soiled or hanging from beds, their shouts for help blatantly ignored! Personal belongings stolen! Such a shame because this home does have some amazing staff that go above and beyond but it seems it's easier to get rid of a resident than deal with staff who fail to provide the level of care this facility claims to provide! I would warn anyone thinking about sending a loved one here to think again; it needs an independent inspection and the dishonest staff removing or just shutting down.
I am one of three daughters. Our mother was in Bridgewater Park Care Home for three months. Each day, one of us was with her from lunch through to tea time and sometimes beyond. We got to know many of the staff. All of whom treated our lovely Mum with kindness, respect, care and gentleness. Was everything perfect all of the time - no. Would I bring another treasured relative to be nursed her - absolutely, yes! One nurse was truly exceptional but all the staff deserve recognition for the devotion they show. We sincerely thank you!
From the moment we went in, everyone always said hello, not one member of staff just walked by without saying hello. Alwats extremely helpful, and nothing too much trouble. Cares made time to talk to my mum and never just did their job, but went out of their way to be friendly and help my mum. Pleasant surroundings.
I cannot rate this care home more than enough. They went above and beyond for my father. The staff all were very welcoming to my father when he arrived. They met his needs of being a vegan. He made so many good friends in the last part of his life!
We can not speak highly enough about the care my husband received in the short time he stayed at Bridgewater. The staff were kind and caring and so lovely to my him and to us. They went above and beyond to make sure he was looked after. Thank you to everyone who looked after him so well. We are grateful for the love shown to the family as well.
The staff here are second to none and cared for my father until he recently passed. Nothing was ever too much for them and they treated him with utmost care and respect. They were empathetic to the family and my father told us he liked it there. Their food was lovely and the staff and manager have been just like close family to us. Thank you and keep doing what you are doing because you are making a difference to people's lives.
My beautiful father came as a resident to Bridgewater Park Care Home after his unfortunate Stroke. The staff, from the beginning of him arriving to the end of his life (two and a half years after), were nothing short of amazing. Their care, consideration, communication, compassion, understanding, empathy and love for him and for us, as a family, have been more than 10 out 10. We wanted a 'home from home' and this home more than delivered. His choices and preferences were always respected. He had a lovely, bright and spacious room and clean. The meals were well thought out and good quality. We would highly recommend this home as the best of care choices in Scunthorpe. We, as a family, are so grateful and my father would have also agreed. Thank you to the manager and everyone else, keep on doing an amazing job and putting smiles on the faces of the residents. We will miss you all.
I cannot speak highly enough of Bridgewater Park Care Home. My mum, sadly, was not with them for long before sadly passing away. But in the short time she was with them, her care was exemplary, they treated her with care, dignity and kindness from her first day there to her last. The carers and nurses were excellent and very professional. I would not hesitate to recommend Bridgewater to anyone facing the difficult decision of having to place a loved one in care.
My mother has been in Bridgewater Park Care Home for almost two years. She has dementia. All the staff do a very difficult job with the care and dignity that the elderly deserve. I can't talk highly enough of the staff. Please keep up the good work.
When my relative finally decided that he had to go into a care home, it was with trepidation and reluctance. But Bridgewater Park quickly became a place he appreciated for the kindness and understanding shown to him by all of the staff. He was not there for long but for our dear friend, it was a safe haven. As his close friends, we also appreciated the kindness shown to us.
I could write paragraphs on how impressed I am. But I will simply say, exemplary.
Since my mother-in-law became a resident at Bridgewater, the staff have gone beyond all expectations in relation to her health and wellbeing and that of ours. They not only care about the resident, they care about their family and friends. Absolutely nothing is too much trouble. It's clean, professional, caring, lively and always respectful and peaceful at the appropriate times.
Bridgewater Park Care Home gave my dad excellent care in the last days of his life. All the staff were incredible especially one person in particular and here team that were on duty the day my dad passed away. Compassionate, helpful especially with details and what happens after death and how the process works.
Bridgewater Park Care Home cared for my stepfather very well during his last few weeks of life. They treated him with dignity and tried to make him comfortable. The staff were very caring.
Bridgewater Park Care Home has provided a wonderful, safe home for my father at the end of his life. Their support, dignified care and help have been above and beyond our expectations. The wonderful carers and nurses have been amazing, from my dad's first day to his last. Everyone has shown amazing support to my dad in his day-to-day care. The room is always immaculate and hygiene is always to a very high standard. I cannot thank everyone enough at what has been a most difficult time for my dad, mum and all our family. I would recommend Bridgewater to everyone, nothing is too much trouble.
