I am very pleased with the care that my Brother is getting now! He is a part of the home and the staff now know him. He goes out on visits. He is now a part of the staff. He is encouraged to take on various tasks to keep him feeling wanted. He goes out on various visits to the seaside or to coffee shops. His room is tidy, he has a shower now every day! All in all, he is well looked after. I can now relax!

The car park is in need of urgent repair and hot water and drains need sorting. Strong drain smell.

The home has always cared for my relative well even though she can be very challenging. I do not have to worry about her at all. She is happy and content.

On visiting days (sorted in previous days), always when it's ok, shown to empty room so we can have nice visit without being interrupted by other residents. Always asked by staff if we need (want cuppa). Questions, queries always answered. Very pleasant surroundings.

Had a nice day, went to the pub. Had food and drink, went out had supper and tea. Smoking, medication, breakfast.

This home is brilliant. Two members of staff are the best in how wide would I love what they do for me. I am grateful especially when the dogs come in, I love them. As well, the home is nice/clean/tidy. I like when staff take me out, love it. Love to spend tie with staff, especially two members in particular.

Staff did well in settling the resident, clearly though she was having a bad day through no fault of anyone. Took their time to settle her by engaging with the resident.

I have nothing but praise for the staff and the way my son is cared for in Gilby House Nursing Home. The old-looking building is lovely inside and my son has everything he needs and more. He is not the easiest person to look after but their attitude to him is so happy and caring and he tells them he loves them. In addition, they have been so kind and helpful to me when I have difficulty visiting (I have Rheumatoid arthritis) and have made sure I have been able to visit and have lovely days with him. My son has to have a special soft diet, but they make sure it is always tasty and nutritious.

I have been having a fantastic time at Gilby House Nursing Home. The services available have really improved. I am getting out more often, which makes my mental health feel better. I wouldn't say I am 100% yet, but I am getting there.

Gilby House is a very pleasant and friendly environment for my brother to reside and the staff are extremely professional in their duty of care. I would recommend to other families to have their relative in their care.

Our son has been at Gilby House for two years, when he first came to Gilby House he was not in a very good state of health. Now two years later he is a lot better and this is due to all the staff, who are excellent. Good medication and excellent food have really made him a lot better. Gilby House itself has improved a lot since our son arrived, it is a very good place, and we would recommend it to anyone. We would just like to say thank you to every one for what they have done for our son and we shall miss the warm welcome we get when we visit. Thank you.

Our son has been at Gilby House for two years, when he first came to Gilby House he was not in a very good state of health. Now two years later he is a lot better and this is due to all the staff, who are excellent. Good medication and excellent food have really made him a lot better.
