View Full Details of Beechwood PlaceAfter my dad had an admission to hospital I feel I wanted to review how well all the staff dealt with it. I was kept informed and upon my dad's return he was well looked after - he really struggled being in hospital but the care, kindness and ensuring all his needs were met when he returned to Beechwood were everything he needed. On another note, my dad wants to add how much he likes the vending machine so he can treat himself (and me) to sweets/snacks/drinks. It's a little thing but a nice thing to have.
My mum has been in Beechwood Place for nearly two months and in that time, I have found the staff very helpful and kind. My mum also has activities most days and trips out which she enjoys and helps make her life more fulfilling. I am very pleased with the care she receives at Beechwood Place.
My mum has been at Beechwood for almost three years. She receives excellent care and is treated with dignity from all the staff. Recently, there has been lots of decorating and the home really is homely now. Mum's needs are assessed regularly and the activities are tailored to suit her. The food is always home cooked and served in a pleasing way. Mum eats a wide variety of meals and enjoys a good varied diet. The home feels safe but not like a prison. Safe and secure for all the residents. A fantastic team giving great care.
My husband is very comfortable, he is looked after very well.
My dad has only been residing at Beechwood for a short time. The care given has been exceptional. All the staff are so caring and go above and beyond each day. The food is nutritious and homemade, and the kitchen staff are also friendly and dedicated. My dad had a bad experience in his previous care home - I am so grateful he was placed at Beechwood in the care of such a dedicated team, just wish he had come sooner. Dad sadly has become palliative and is given wonderful end-of-life care, with empathy, dignity and compassion. I cannot thank all the staff enough for all they have done and do. Amazing.
The home is a very well-run home. It's a pity my mum doesn't get involved with the activities that are organised on a daily basis. The food is of a very high standard.
My wife has been a resident at Beechwood Place for over eight months. Beechwood is excellent and this is entirely due to all the staff who work incredibly hard to care and comfort all residents. I visit my wife daily and leave with peace of mind knowing she is well cared for. Thank you Beechwood.
I often visit my cousin - I think she will have been in Beachwood Place for about 18/24 months. I visit regularly as I live in Norton. The last time I was there was Saturday last week. It was my cousin's birthday - this coming Wednesday 10th April, she will be 85 years old - I am 82 years old. It wasn't an open day like the Summer Fayer which I was taken there by my cousin's eldest daughter - it was a treat, she picked me up at my home and took me to Beechwood Place. We grew up in practically one family. The two families went everywhere together. Holidays, days at the seaside, and sleeping at each other's home. We grew up as one family. I will tell you a funny thing, she is left-handed and I am right-handed. She was a super drawer but no one to teach her to knit. She was like a person with 2 left feet.
Mum is very content living at Beechwood Place. She says that the food is very good and she has everything she needs. Mum really likes the staff and I have seen how friendly and genuine they are when they're talking to Mum. It would be useful to know 'who's who' as I'm not always sure who I'm talking to, but staff are helpful and the home has a 'calm' feeling to it.
Mum has settled in well, she is not one for socialising but seems to be enjoying the activities and loves the staff and enjoys the lovely food.
I am very happy with the care my dad receives at Beechwood Place. The staff are very attentive and treat him with care and respect. I am so happy that the home provides entertainment and trips. My dad is feeling settled.
My sister has a wonderful room - it is large, airy, light and there is a lovely big window looking out into the garden. The staff are excellent, cheerful, friendly and competent. I think this makes all the difference. The food is set very good, freshly prepared, healthy, and filling. This has contributed hugely to her well-being.
My sister has been in Beechwood Place for almost three months. I believe her to be settled and well cared for. She is confined to bed, but appears to be very comfortable. There is a hanging basket outside her window in which I planted some daffodils, otherwise the view is a brick wall with remembrance hearts attached. The staff are really lovely with her.
My granny went to live at Beechwood in January and the staff have been brilliant throughout her last weeks with us. They provided care and support with such care, kindness, dignity and compassion. The feel of Beechwood Place is like home from home. Gran said all the staff are lovely and she was very well looked after and we as a family could see this which reassured us when leaving after visits. Knowing that she had been well cared for and that she was comfortable was crucial to us.
Very friendly home, dedicated staff who are helpful and caring. Overall 'a home from home' where people's individual needs are catered for with sympathy and understanding. Received a warm welcome on every visit.
A very friendly and competent staff. They always put their clients first and their care is exemplary. The facilities are clean and tidy. Thank you for your care.
We always find the staff and management very helpful and friendly, who take very good care of Mum and make us feel like part of the Beechwood Place family. There always seems to be plenty of things going on for the residents (although Mum cannot take part).
My mother moved to Beechwood Place with advanced Alzheimer's, unable to communicate and not always cooperative! She was treated with respect in a loving environment, the staff are very capable and helpful. Her condition has deteriorated due to her condition and is now having end-of-life care. It is a very sad time for us but feel that Beechwood is doing the very best for her in difficult times.
Mother has been here five/six years now. Very happy. All staff are very friendly.
I cannot express enough my gratitude for the love and care, professionalism and support that has been given to our family in Mum's last days. To spend this time in such a place has been such a blessing. Every single member of staff goes above and beyond to ensure her needs are met and that everyone who visits is treated with respect and dignity, that we are informed and consulted about every aspect of her care here. Knowing that Mum was desperate to get out of hospital and not being able to care for her in her own home, we were so fortunate that we were able to find a room for her here. The relaxed nature of the home, how peaceful it is and how accommodating and welcoming visitors are made is an example of the best we can offer the people we love. We know Mum initially wanted to be in her own home but she has felt it is home here and she is comfortable and peaceful here in her last days. From us all, thank you.
