View Full Details of Belmont HouseOn the whole very good, but wish I didnt have to remind them to wash my husband's hair - always very greasy & full of Dandruff.
Lovely staff, helpful and caring. Mum always out of bed, clean and dressed early Staff really try to involved all with activities and really put effort into special times of year decorating the home (xmas, Easter, etc)
After a friendly introduction to staff who I was visiting. Signing in and out was way. Staff very friendily kind considerate, took us to my friends room. Nice coffee supplied, lovely clean high standard room, large, and facilities, toilet shower Staff very kind polite professional, smile and decoration of care home. First class, was wondering where care park was but soon found. Love the key code number entry comical.
I came to live at Belmont House shortly after the death of my husband. I acquired ensuite accommodation in the residential Courtyard Unit and moved in the week the premises opened. That was in November 2006. After 9 years, I moved into the nursing Garden Unit as I needed more care. Once again, I am in ensuite accommodation. Belmont House is a person-centered Care Home. I am treated as an individual and not expected to lose my personality or my personal preferences. The Care Staff are always very attentive and are obviously well trained. The Home Manager, is extremely approachable and bends over backwards to make life comfortable and enjoyable for the residents. I think the fact that I have lived happily at Belmont House for over 18 years speaks for itself!
The staff are friendly and the overall atmosphere has a family feel. The design of the care home is excellent with wide corridors and large rooms. It is spacious and airy and very well-equipped. It has been a very good experience visiting my friend.
Very pleased with staff of the care home, all know their jobs and carry them out in a caring way, always willing to go the extra mile to help residents when they can or refer someone else to get an answer. The food is very good and varies each week.
I find the staff in all areas very kind and helpful. I have settled very well and feel sage and well cared for.
Mum has only been at Belmont House for approximately 2 and a half months. The staff are still getting to know Mum and her likes and dislikes. The staff are lovely, kind and take time to talk to Mum. She has been to a garden centre on your minibus, I was so pleased when I heard. I also know she enjoys the singing, but not sure about other activities. Thanks to all the staff for looking after Mum.
Lovely caring team ensuring Mom is well looked after and supported. We are made to feel welcome and are kept informed.
All the staff from the cleaners to the management are caring, helpful, supportive, and kind. Nothing is too much trouble for them.
My mum seemed very well cared for and happy. The staff are brilliant. They have always been helpful and supportive. As I live abroad it is not always easy but three members of staff always make sure I get through on the phone to Mum. Thank you for your positive interactions with Mum and I.
My mother was only a resident for eleven days coming from a care home that said they could no longer meet her needs due to her aggressive behaviour. The care she received from the nurses and carers at Belmont, one carer, in particular, was exemplary. I was kept informed at all times, and when she died, both my mother and I were treated with kindness, dignity, respect and love. I couldn't speak highly enough of Belmont House and only wish she had been in their care longer.
The staff are really friendly and helpful. No trouble at all. Providing regular updates to us and doing anything they can to help. Nothing is too much trouble. It is a great care home and the staff are just as great!
My husband has been in Belmont House since April and I have to say he has some lovely staff looking after him. He now has his powered wheelchair with him, and we regularly meet in the coffee lounge. There have been a few restrictions recently, but everyone is doing their bit to keep infection at bay. Of course, I wish my hubby was at home, but the home is in his childhood village and he goes out with family and his chair allows him to get around easier. I’m pleased he’s adjusting to life n the care home, and I’m happy that he is settling in so well. Many thanks to ALL the staff at Belmont House.
Covid has changed everything, but before everything, everybody was great, helpful, and cheerful. I am sure when everything gets back to normal, this will be back also and great for Mum.
We have watched Dad flourish at Belmont, and it's clear he is part of a community with a family feel. When visiting, we can see the lovely way staff interact with him, and to see him laugh and smile warms our hearts. It feels like the staff have really taken the time to get to know Dad, and we can't thank them enough for what they do.
Caring, friendly staff.
Just before the start of the New Year, my Mum-in-law, already frail, both physically and mentally, began to move towards the end of her life. She was very poorly. I was a frequent visitor, so was able to notice the care that was given to her by the staff. She was treated with great tenderness. She was spoken to gently, if she needed/wanted food or drink, there was infinite patience, this, despite the often difficult situation because of having to use agency staff. Mum-in-law died quietly on 24th January. I am sure that, had she been cared for by her family, the standard could not have been bettered. Thank you to all involved.
My husband has been in the home for approximately 5 weeks. Very caring staff and supportive of me as I am sad to give up my caring role. It will be a relief to me to know he is cared for in the best way.
I cannot fault Belmont House. My mum is in Promanade Suite and it is so clean. The staff are fantastic they care for my mum as if she was their mum. I'm so happy for her, no concerns.
