View Full Details of Granby Rose Care HomeThe care mum recieves is great at Granby Rose, All the staff are friendly and kind, Mum is well taken care of, her needs met, they always make sure she is comfortable, she is fed well and treated well.
I have such admiration for the caring way two of the ladies work together along with the rest of their dedicated team. I know my husband is getting the best care and it's delivered in such a caring way. Thank you to all the team.
My wife is very well cared for by happy and excellent staff. She is always well dressed in a coordinated fashion as though some thought had been made. She now seems more settled and this is very reassuring for myself and my family.
I cannot fault the level of care at Granby Rose Care Home. My mother has been a resident for the last two years. During that time, her health has certainly deteriorated but, at every step of the way, Granby Rose has reacted to ensure she is comfortable and well looked after. All the staff are incredibly kind with their care and generous with their time. Thank you so much, Granby Rose!
My mother has been a resident at Granby Rose for just over 2 years. I find that she can be left should I not be able to visit regularly without me worrying about her. None of us want to place a parent in a home, but I know that the staff and management run Granby for the benefit of the residents. I know my mother is quite difficult to deal with but the staff really do their utmost to see that she is safe, clean, fed and looked after. The cleaners are perpetually fighting a battle for cleanliness given that some of the residents are incontinent. They try hard to keep on top of it. The manager is a first-rate leader and takes enormous care of her charges. If I feel I need to speak to her with concerns about my mother, I do. The staff are always busy dealing with the residents but their attitude is one of good humour and kindness. Four Seasons is extremely lucky to have such good people and she is excellent at choosing staff who will fit her ethos of kindness and compassion,
My mother has been a resident at this wonderful nursing home since March 2024 and we are delighted with the care she is receiving. The home is a specialist dementia care nursing unit with around 25 complex patients who are all treated with kindness, dignity and love. The level of training the carers obviously have is impressive and they work closely with the nursing staff ensuring that any potential illness, injury or other worries are addressed immediately. Any falls are reported to us promptly even where no injuries have occurred and the home operates an open and transparent policy. Added to all of this the staff are a very happy team, they all interact with the residents as if they were members of the family which I'm sure is the reason for the calm friendly atmosphere which resonates throughout the building. My mother is always clean and presentable and so much calmer and happier than she was in her previous home, there is a massive difference between the two places!
The home is a fine example of how this type of home should be run. The staff are both kind and considerate to both residents and visitors. The general condition of the buildings is fine and the decor is satisfactory. The activities section works hard to keep the residents aware and amused. The food is very good and plentiful. Both the medical staff and non-medical staff are efficient and kind. I would recommend the home to anyone requiring good medical care and a good environment.
I am very pleased with the care that my sister receives at Granby Rose, after a not-so-positive experience in another care setting. The staff always appear cheerful and remain kind and patient wanting the best outcomes for those in their care.
My mother is well cared for at Granby Rose Care Home. The carers treat my mother with respect and she always seems happy when I visit her. The management team are always trying to improve the facilities at the home and has made many changes in the last year. I thoroughly recommend Granby Rose for specialist dementia care.
My mother-in-law is a resident at Granby Rose. My wife and I live abroad and we rely on the excellent level of care she receives. The staff give her the care and attention she needs and at the same time, they are always available and proactive to update my wife and I on her well-being. I cannot fault the commitment and kindness in their work.
My sister has a rarer type of dementia and complex needs. All the staff are unfailingly kind to her and treat her with dignity. She is settled at Granby Rose, which as a smaller, more intimate unit suits her much better than our experience at a previous care home.
My mum, who has early onset Alzheimer's is a resident at Granby Rose. I could not be happier with the care she has received there, or praise the staff highly enough. After seeing Mum struggle in more clinical settings, it is wonderful to see her in a place as homely and welcoming as Granby. Mum receives excellent care from the staff in general and her assigned 1:1 carers as well. Since being there, she is eating properly and sleeping well. Unfortunately she is prone to falls and minor illnesses, but the staff have always kept us aware of this and been prompt in calling in a GP when needed. The home also allows visitors to bring in dogs, and seeing our family dog has been a major boost for Mum.
I cannot fault the professional and compassionate care the team at Granby Rose have provided for our mum. The communication from the team is faultless, and whenever I visit I can see that my mum is happy, settled and well cared for. This gives me such peace of mind, especially knowing that her needs are quite complex. Thank you Team Granby Rose!
During his time at Granby Rose Care Home, Dad has received the highest possible standard of care and attention. All of his needs are met with expertise and compassion. Every member of staff is kind and friendly, always prepared to go the extra mile for residents and their families. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming; there is a real feeling of community. Without a doubt, Granby Rose is second to none!
Granby Rose not a name that I was familiar with but one I will never forget. My husband arrived here 12 days before Christmas and the first thing I felt was the love from all the staff, it became my second family. The care that the residents receive is outstanding. I will never be able to thank enough the manager and all the staff for the wonderful way they looked after my husband, myself and the family.
My husband moved into Granby Rose in Spring 2023. He was mobile, alert, engaged and questioned everything - I wish I had listened to the voices in my head telling me to take him home with me. His upset and fear were evident from the start but management told me he was just settling in and getting used to his new surroundings which can take time! He quickly became less mobile, less engaged, very drowsy and mostly incoherent and within 4 weeks, following several falls, substantial weight loss and Safeguarding issues raised by our Mental Health nurse, his health had declined considerably and continued to do so until after 3 months he was moved. He never recovered from his ordeal and sadly passed away. His considerable distress whilst at Granby Rose still haunts me. Granby Rose failed us and sadly that cannot be undone. I wish I could give less than one star in this review as many of the staff were lovely.
Sad to have to write a poor review. My grandpa was in this home for 2 weeks until the mental health nurse came and was appalled and told us we needed to find alternative care. My grandpa has mixed dementia and is able to communicate. Our concern was how much communication he would receive in which we were ensured by management that he would receive - yet to be seen. My grandpa has deteriorated massively within the 2 weeks. Sadly his independence was taken despite family members explaining he was able to feed himself (and this also been shown when we took him out for lunch during his stay and he was able to feed himself with prompts and reminders that it is his to eat) Lack of fluids - his fluid chart was very rarely filled in. A few days were blank and many days stated he only had 2 drinks all day which was poor especially when he had an infection of his leg. We had left a bottle of juice and both times still full the next day. Some of the staff however were lovely.
Following a disappointing experience with a care home... From the initial entry into the care home, I was greeted. I observed the staff were constantly busy but did look to remain calm. A great emphasis is made to all carers and their professional and prompt actions. When I approached the staff for information an answer has been given. Most importantly if an answer has not been given! I have been assured that an investigation would follow and information passed to myself or my good lady. My partner and I visit the care home on a regular basis. The care home is exemplary clean and secure. An exemplary service we cannot ask for more.
After being together for 60 years the decision for my husband to enter a care home was a very big one, but one that had to be made. He has only been at Granby Rose for a few weeks and during that time his behaviour has caused a number of problems. However, these have been dealt with by experienced staff who treated him with patience, kindness and compassionate care. Thankfully he is now beginning to settle in and become part of the home community. The atmosphere is warm, homely and friendly. The staff are cheerful, hardworking, efficient and attentive. Knowing my husband is being well cared for helps me to deal with the separation. Thank you, Granby Rose.
Excellent care and attention are given to residents. Regular weekly visits from regular GP. Friendly staff always make us feel welcome on visiting. If anything occurs they are quick to look for resolutions and include the family at every point. Regularly encouraged to take part in the activities and look forward to visits from therapy pets.
