View Full Details of Oak Trees Care HomeMy Dad suffered from memory issues and was nervous about moving into a nursing home. He was made to feel so welcome when he moved in, the staff were all so kind and caring. As his health deteriorated, the care he received was of an excellent standard. Myself and my brother were kept up to date with what was happening and he was always comfortable and well looked after when we visited him. During his final days, all the care and nursing staff went above and beyond to care for my Dad. He was kept comfortable and we felt supported. The nurses explained what would happen over the last hours and they spent time to chat and offer a shoulder to cry on. The care home staff work so hard and my only negative feedback is that I find it sad that on a night, the home is staffed by only one nurse and minimal care staff. It would be lovely to see TFP go above the lowest legal staff limits. I saw how hard those staff worked throughout the 8pm-8am shift.
My Mum, has been resident in the Oak Tree's Car home since May 2024. She was moved there initially on a respite basis after being injured in an accident, but due to her dementia, she is now a permanent resident. The staff in general are excellent with her, though there are a couple who go the extra mile to bring a smile to her face or entertain her. She has a lovely room overlooking the countryside and whilst I know she would really like to go home, I also know she is very well looked after. Oaktree's make an effort to engage with the residents, by not only having a dedicated "Entertainments" Office, they also lay on musical and other events to stimulate and entertain. They are also visited by a hairdresser and chiropodist as well. I have no worries about my Mum's care and safety and cannot believe how lucky she is to be in such a caring environment.
My sister has been a resident at Oak Trees for about 12 months and the improvement in her health is first class. She seems very settled there and the staff certainly give her good care and attention.
My mother settled very well at Oak Trees, the staff were always patient and kind and visitors made welcome. She was very comfortable and well looked after and looked forward to her meals. The fact that she felt safe and content was a huge relief. Activities staff organised various games, quizzes, handicrafts, visits from choirs and some animals and birds. One day residents and families had a fish and chip lunch outdoors. The care my mother received was very good.
My 84-year-old father-in-law moved in with us because he had terminal cancer and needed help with daily living. When he could no longer manage the stairs in our home, we started looking for a care facility. Our palliative care nurse recommended Oak Trees in Alne. My father-in-law spent the last six weeks of his life with the wonderful team there. From the very start, the staff could not have been more supportive of both him, but also myself and the rest of our family. From taking the time to show us around and allowing us to choose which room he had, to the warm welcome he received on the day of his arrival. The nurses, carers, cooks and laundry assistants, the management team and activities coordinator; each member of staff took the time to get to know him and make sure that he felt settled and cared for. Visitors were always welcome, we popped in every day, witnessing on a daily basis the fantastic and dignified care he received. I absolutely cannot recommend Oak Trees highly enough.
My father has been in Oak Trees for 4 months, he is 91 and has Parkinson's. He has been very well cared for by the staff, everyone is very friendly and they have a good relationship with my dad and the other residents. His condition has fluctuated over the last few months but they have got to know him and adjust his care depending on his needs at that time. I'm always made to feel very welcome and it's starting to feel like we are part of a family there.
Very good care home, everything is very clean and a good and varied food menu, individual care for Mother is very good and all members of staff and management are very friendly and helpful towards Mother and myself, also a good variety of activities.
My mother has been a resident for over 4 years now, very happy with the care she receives and the communication we receive when she has been unwell. All the staff at Oak Trees are friendly and efficient, Mum seems very happy.
My father has been in Oak Trees for just over four years, suffering from age-related Dementia. During that time he has received first rate care carried out with kindness and sensitivity which is not always easy with Dementia patients. My brother, sister and I all live a considerable distance away and can only visit once each month. Every time we call (on spec) he looks well cared for, the whole building is clean and pleasant smelling and we are welcomed. I once asked a friend, who visited many homes in relation to her job, how she would choose a good one. She replied that I should look at the faces of residents when approached by staff. I have seen nothing but pleasure on those faces in Oak Trees. I would highly recommend it.
Everyone - managers, cooks, cleaners and nursing staff - were so lovely, friendly and kind but always professional. The home is decorated to a high standard and very clean. Excellent!
My relative has been in Oak Trees for two years and her residency has changed her life and ours. The security, care, and family atmosphere created by the Fisher Partnership and its excellent staff have turned around the concerns of my relative and all her family. We are kept informed at all times, the nursing staff are excellent, and the NCAs are always there to help. All the staff have wonderful empathy. We were very lucky to have Oak Trees recommended to us.
I find the staff very helpful and professional. They are very knowledgeable about all health issues. Mum is clean and well looked after. She is treated with dignity and respect. I feel she is safe and very well fed.
Like coming home to family and friends. So clean and welcoming. Everyone can't do enough for you. Care for the resident is their first concern. My room is booked if I ever need it.
We were extremely happy with the care my mother received at Oak Trees. The staff were caring and friendly from the matron to the cleaner. All the staff always had time for mum, everyone made time to chat with her. When mum passed away the kindness we were shown as a family was second to none. We couldn't have been happier with the care provided.
I can only highly recommend Oak Trees. I was very well looked after and if I needed care again I would want to go back to Oak Trees.
Good!
My husband has received respite care over several years. He has always been treated with great kindness by the staff. The Matron has always been extremely helpful and is the ideal person for this care home.
I knew Oaks Trees was the right place for my Mum the moment I walked through the door. A lovely atmosphere. Staff very friendly and helpful when showing me around. My mum was extremely well looked after in the 9 months she was a resident. Her clothes and room were always clean. Entertainment and games were a regular feature. It was also nice that the staff helped residents families when they visited. I honestly could not have found a better home than Oak Trees. Many thanks to all the staff.
Oak Trees provided an excellent service to my mum in her last few months, providing a safe, secure environment with courteous staff etc. Mum was not easy towards the end but Oak Trees provided a dignified facility for her.
I have always found the staff in Oak Trees to be friendly and helpful. The care is wonderful and the staff approachable and very caring. The food looks and smells lovely - especially the Sunday Lunch! The activities on offer are varied and I know they try really hard to think of new things to do and experience. I am really happy that my mum is in Oak Trees as are the rest of the family.
