View Full Details of Saint Cecilia's Nursing HomeVery friendly, helpful and accommodating. My husband needs everything done for him, end of life. Service has been previously at my expense but is now funded.
Happy welcoming staff and nothing seems to be any trouble.
All the staff at Saint Cecilia's are very welcoming and polite, always seem to cheer the residents up the best they possibly can. Never seen any problems or anything since I started visiting my grandma.
The home has a new management team but continues in the same ownership. I live a long distance away and was worried about who I would be able to speak to about Mum. The new team have gone to great lengths to give me the opportunity to meet and get to know them all. I am very satisfied and Mum is very happy here.
My friend was released from hospital too early. St Cecilia's nursing home stepped in on a Sunday and took him in when A&E just kept sending him home. He was made very welcome by all the staff. They have looked after him really well keeping his pain under control and taking him to hospital for appointments and when he had another fall (nothing to do with Saint Cecilia's, he was being taken for a walk out of the homes grounds). He is now able to come home with carers in place. I would like to thank St Cecilia's for all the care and consideration that has been shown to him.
Home clean and welcoming, pleasant and friendly staff. My relative is comfortable and happy.
I couldn't have found a better home for my mum. The home is very clean and well managed by all staff and management. They give excellent care to the residents. Nothing is too much bother. They treat residents as if they are their own family.
When I visit my dear friend, she looks clean, tidy and well looked after. The staff are very friendly.
I have found Saint Cecilia's very welcoming to visitors. The care is excellent. All around, excellent service. Found the staff pleasant and helpful. Lovely atmosphere.
Friendly, helpful, caring and professional staff. Alwats welcoming and keep us informed. I am always offered refreshments when Mum receives hers.
My husband is very happy at Saint Cecilia's. He gets lots of care and loves the nurses and carers. He also enjoys the food, especially the cakes. The staff and nurses are always willing, helpful and cheerful. They support me also when I show unhappiness about my husband having Alzheimer's. Saint Cecilia's is the best place for my husband to be and I cannot praise it highly enough. Thank you everybody.
Dad recently moved into St Cecilia’s Nursing Home after two stays in the hospital. Until 31 December, he was completely independent, living in an assisted living facility. After a fall, two days in A and E, he is now completely dependent (also pressure sores developed in the hospital). Dad is not very communicative and super stoic, never complaining ever about any pain and is almost deaf. We were concerned that his new needs might not be understood well because of his communication issues. He has only been in St Cecilia’s a week, but our collective reaction as a family is that for the first time since he first went into the hospital, we don’t have to be permanently anxious about whether he is being looked after properly. We have been impressed with the transparent, kind, careful responses to our queries by management and staff as they get to know Dad. There will always be ups and down but what we see is a big sustained effort to do the right thing by some very ill people.
Today I lost my best friend, but it isn’t a sad day; her husband came for her. She was looked after so well here, and she has been in a lot of homes but is really settled here. She loved all staff, as they did her. I can not thank them enough for what they have done to keep her settled and pain-free as much as possible. If anyone out there is in doubt about their loved ones going in here, please take it from me; the staff here have time for their residents. 100% do not hesitate to look around - you get the feeling straight away.
My mother has been a resident of Saint Cecilia's Nursing Home for 14 months. Myself and my family are really pleased with the care Mum receives. The staff are amazing and caring. Mum thinks of Saint Cecilia's are her home.
He just had a small room when he arrived, and he felt a bit down, but he has now been given a lovely newly decorated one, and he's a lot happier now. The staff are lovely,y and they can't do enough for him, which makes me feel happier.
St Cecilia's gives my uncle all of the most important things he requested to be safe, comfortable and cared for. I was put in charge of sourcing his care, and I found St Cecilia's to be the most suitable for his needs, with a great atmosphere of caring and professionalism.
My brother became a resident in February 2022. I visit regularly -once or twice a week. The staff and managers at the home have treated my brother with care, respect and cheerfulness. They are always friendly towards me and take time to talk through any questions that I have. We couldn't have chosen a better place.
It's now seven months on from Mum's discharge from hospital into Saint Cecilia's Nursing Home. I just wanted to pass on my thanks to the amazing team, who play a part in looking after my mum. I cannot express enough how exceptional the whole team are. Mum is always telling us how wonderful everyone is. The vibe you get is just like calling on family. The staff's patience, friendliness and kindness go above and beyond in the excellent care, understanding and support they provide. Knowing Mum is happy and well cared for is wonderful.
My mother had her 100th birthday on 6th January. I arranged with the deputy manager to have 14 of my family, ages 9 to 82. A cake was provided, a bottle of bubbly and sweets. They took photographs and put them in an email which we could send to my brother in Australia. The party lasted two hours. The staff were excellent. The home is very good for the money paid. I am very happy with my mother being there.
Mum's 100th Birthday, and despite Covid restrictions, I think she really enjoyed her day. The staff were wonderful in organising the video call for relatives who couldn't see Mum personally. The room had been decorated and was welcoming. A lot of effort had gone into making her day the best.
