View Full Details of Tudor House Nursing HomeTudor House staff are amazing, always there with a smile, they are very kind and considerate of all. This is a very safe place for our mum, giving us the peace of mind that she is very well cared for, always clean and given individual care and time. The staff know all the residents and care for them like they are their family. Tudor House feels like a home, not an institution. Mum takes part in the daily activities when able arranged by the lovely staff. We feel very lucky to have mum in Tudor House.
After a very traumatic fall and prolonged stay in hospital, Mum moved into Tudor House in June. She has multiple health issues including dementia, anxiety and very little mobility. From the moment she moved in we have found the entire staff amazing. Everyone, without exception, gives their all to the home and the residents. Mum is cared for extremely well in every way. She also has visits from the hairdresser and chiropodist who come to the home regularly. She has been encouraged to engage with lots of different activities, which again is fantastic. She particularly enjoyed flower arranging, which she loved in her younger days. She now enjoys the best quality of life, that is possible for her, at Tudor House. I feel very grateful and fortunate that it is now her home.
My mum moved to Tudor House Nursing Home after a 6 week stay in hospital. From the first conversations with the home manager and clinical lead, it has been a great experience, nothing has been too much trouble to get Mum settled in. All staff are friendly, professional and very approachable. The residents enjoy daily home-cooked meals, with a great choice of food. Week daily activities are offered, and Mum has enjoyed flower arranging, cake decorating and gets involved with the chair based exercise classes. The Home is always clean, with regular cleaning of Mum's room, bedding, towels etc. We as a family are so happy that mum was able to move into Tudor House, and no longer worry about her wellbeing, dignity and respect, as they are all being totally met.
My brother was admitted to Tudor House, Selby, in February 2023. He was on end-of-life care and was only expected to see the next 6 weeks or so out. The staff at Tudor House were brilliant in the way they looked after my brother, they even encouraged him to fight as he still had so much to live for. They allowed all my brother's relative's to visit when they needed to and supported us all. It is largely to their credit that my brother has pulled through and is now living a life full of promise, love and attention. This is the quality of life he has needed and what he did not have as we all live so far away from him. It goes without saying, that my brother is living life to its fullest now. The staff are all fantastic, the management always accommodating and they all care for my brother with love. My brother told me last month that this is the best life he can remember, he feels safe and much loved by all. Thank you Tudor House management and staff.
Lovely home-from-home, friendly staff and amazing activity-led programs for the residents. Weekly hairdresser and staff really friendly and welcoming to family members. Very easy to call up and arrange to take family members out for the day.
My mum has lived in Tudor House Nursing Home for many years I can't rate them any higher from the hygiene to the staff and the food everything 10 out of 10. Couldn't find one fault in a lot of years like home from home thank you for everything.
My sister recently moved from London to Tudor House Nursing Home and despite a long and difficult journey, she was greeted with warmth and reassurance, enabling her to settle in quickly. All the staff, including domestic, catering and nursing staff, have been kind, thoughtful and caring since she arrived. The staff's consideration of my needs when visiting and my sister's needs have been second to none. My sister has made great improvements since her move which demonstrates just how attentive to her needs the staff have been. The team at Tudor House have helped me find alternative care for my sister closer to me, so it is with a heavy heart she will be leaving Tudor House. This in no way reflects the care she has received but is so I am able to see her more frequently. I strongly recommend this care provision for anyone who is seeking a homely feel, with caring and kind staff who go out of their way to accommodate their residents.
My dad has vascular dementia and finding the right home for him was challenging. After a stroke he ended up in Tudor House Nursing Home. Over the last year the management have been incredibly supportive getting my dad settled, knowing what to do and helping me through the processes, which were difficult to navigate on my own. The staff are friendly and speak to my dad with kindness as well as having a joke and a laugh, which he loves. They also make me feel really welcome every time I go. You can see the staff know their residents’ individual needs and genuinely care. The new activities coordinator is fabulous and has made a big difference to the home, organising events for residents and families too. Dad’s ever-growing complicated requirements have meant many discussions and meetings with Tudor House and different agencies, but they have worked with him, and me and constantly adjust their staff, and processes, to meet my dad’s needs. I am confident he is now safe and cared for.
My stepmother was accepted into Tudor House Nursing Home after having been diagnosed terminally ill. We all knew my stepmother had little time to live. The staff at Tudor House could not have been more caring and attentive to her needs and our family has been impressed with the total package received.
I cannot praise Tudor House Nursing Home highly enough. The care given to my mum has been outstanding in every way. Duties are carried out with compassion and dignity by the excellent staff, who work well as a team to provide the best care possible. There are many activities for those who are able to participate, but not at the exclusion of those residents who are not so fortunate. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. You won't find better care for your relative anywhere.
The overall impression of Tudor House Nursing Home is very good. The atmosphere when entering the house is very welcoming, cheery and bright. The staff are very attentive and caring, taking time to chat and discuss any issues you may have.
They keep me regularly informed of my mother's health. They are friendly and helpful and treat my mother with respect and dignity. They take her for hospital visits and do their best to sort out her complex needs.
The staff are very considerate and helpful and look after my wife very well. They have a very difficult job to do but work very hard to maintain a good standard. I think they are probably understaffed like most other care homes.
I am very satisfied with the care my sister is receiving at Tudor House. When I ring the staff are always very polite and helpful.
The home has cared for my husband fantastically well. No complaints - very good.
Tudor House Nursing Home looked after my mum in March. Sadly, this was at the end of my mum's life. The care given to my mum at that time was excellent. She was treated with dignity and respect at all times by very kind and caring staff. They supported us through a very difficult time and we will always be grateful for how they made her last days as comfortable as they could. As a family, we were impressed by the empathy and support we received from all staff. Thank you.
I have been visiting my friend in Tudor House for two years now, having previously met him outside. The staff have been friendly, efficient and shown great empathy and interest in my friend. They clearly care and create a good atmosphere. Very impressive indeed. The ethos is obvious and my friend is very happy there.
I find that any contact with staff, regarding queries or information I need, are always handled with prompt attention. The staff are always polite and helpful if you have any questions.
Mum moved into Tudor House in September 2020 due to her slowly deteriorating Altzheimer’s. We were initially very apprehensive about the move, thinking that she may not settle, but we needn’t have worried. Within the first few weeks, it was obvious that we had made the right choice in Tudor House. Mum is happy, well cared for and she loves taking part in the daily activities arranged by the wonderful staff. I can honestly say that the quality of care that Mum is receiving, is exceptional. She knows that she is being well looked after and seeing her so happy and content, is a testament to the loving care from the manager and every one of her staff. Mum recently said to us “don’t ever move me from here, this is my new home and I love it here." I think this says everything.
Tudor House has always given excellent care, but during Covid, they have gone above and beyond our expectations. My mother-in-law is happier than ever in their care.
