View Full Details of Connaught CourtMum-in-law joined during the difficult COVID period over four years ago and has spent time in different areas. The staff have always been friendly and welcoming, they spend time sitting, talking and doing activities with residents. Mum particularly enjoys music and sing-alongs. Her bedroom and bathroom are always well-kept and clean. Thanks to the team for all you do to care for the residents with respect and compassion. This has truly been evident this last couple of weeks whilst Mum has been poorly.
My husband has been a resident at Connaught Court for the last three months. Connaught Court has very well looked after. He is happy there. The nursing staff is patient, very caring and most pleasant to the residents and visitors a like. Thank you all.
Mum (now 95) has been in Connaught Court since February 2022 and since then we've had nothing but fantastic service. The whole team are dedicated and thorough treating mum sensitively and with dignity - nothing seems to be too much trouble. Mum gets confused quite easily but the staff are always on hand to reassure her and us. The food is top notch - mum especially likes the puddings. As mum is very frail physically as well, she's had a few falls. Without fail, I always get a phone call from the care team and this is very reassuring. We visit regularly and have been told by the staff to treat Connaught Court as our own home - i.e. feel free to use the facilities if you're there. The lounge and conservatory are very pleasant indeed, the loos are always clean and we can always find somewhere nice to have a coffee and eat our sandwiches whenever we call.
My mother was a reluctant resident at Connaught Court when she first arrived but the wonderful care and encouragement that she received has her happily accepting help and enjoying the company of carers, nurses and all staff. She spent time on all wards - residential, dementia and nursing and we were always more grateful for the caring way everyone treated her at all times. Thank you.
I cannot express enough joy.
It has been so reassuring to see how caring, professional and joyful the staff are at Connaught Court. On the nursing wing, Mum was made to feel so welcome from day one, and their care extended seamlessly to family and friends visiting. Walking around the home and its grounds, you come across resident after resident being cared for respectfully, patiently - precisely in the way you might hope your loved one would be. I am very grateful to the management, the staff and even the other residents at Connaught Court for making mum feel so welcome here.
It is not an easy decision to leave your home and come into full residential care. I have been living at Connaught Court for nine months now and I am very grateful to be here. I feel secure, the care in excellent, the food is good and the staff are dedicated to looking after the residents, and I am not alone. In January, I will be 90 years old and having lived on my own for 40 years I do not regret my decision.
My overall experience is good, its care and support are always on call. The staff are very caring, committed and cheerful. The management is very good and I am pleased with my room, which is cleaned daily. I enjoy the activities each week Mondays to Fridays, always interesting. The members of staff involved are excellent at their job. I always feel safe and secure in the care home. As for value for money, the care 24 hours per day 7 days a week is excellent, and outstanding areas such as bedrooms, restaurant and lounge and library. Excellent laundry service. I would highly recommend it.
Connaught Court has been my auntie's home for nearly 7 years now, and I cannot praise the place highly enough. The rooms are excellent - large and all with ensuite facilities - and there are additional communal bathrooms with aids for people who need assistance getting in and out. The communal areas are beautiful and the whole place is immaculately clean. The gardens are outstanding. The food is excellent with plenty of different choices to cater to various tastes. The place, despite its relatively large size, feels very homely and not at all like an institution. This is thanks to the brilliant dedicated staff who give Connaught Court a real family feeling. I have worked in residential care homes myself in the past and Connaught Court stands head and shoulders over all of them. People understandably often fear moving into residential care but I can honestly say that I would quite happily move into Connaught Court when the time came and my elderly parents feel exactly the same.
The care and support given to my father was beyond what I could have asked for. All the team treated him with care and respect. Additionally to this, everyone helped my mother to allow her to be with her husband as much as possible. I feel that the friendship and support shown to her during her long visits helped her to feel cared for as much as my father was. I can't thank you enough for what you have done for my family.
Dad moved to Connaught Court in March 2020 and was cared for in the new dementia area. His care was exemplary in all areas. He moved to nursing in August 2023 and again the staff have been outstanding. All at Connaught have treated Dad, my mum, and our family with such consideration through a very difficult time. Thank you all so much.
High quality of care. Very attentive to my mother-in-law's needs and to our needs after she passed away.
Comfortable. Please see ratings.
My mother-in-law moved to Connaught Court just before Christmas, after the closure of her previous care home. She has very advanced dementia. Staff within Ebor Unit have been so very compassionate. The care is just that; genuine care, with my mother-in-law's needs at the heart of every decision that they make for her. I cannot thank the staff enough for their genuine kindness and their unstinting (and often unnoticed) hard work. The atmosphere within the whole home is lovely.
My late wife and I came into the home on the 4th of August 2022. My late wife into nursing care and me into residential care, sadly she passed away on the 8th of September 2022. The staff in every aspect were remarkable and the attention to detail was excellent. I can only say many thanks to every staff member for all the excellent support they have given me. The activity team are always available for any ideas, the activity program is excellent and very stimulating. All in all a 5-star home, my home.
Very helpful welcome caring. All information given when required. The room is very pleasant, light, quiet and comfortable with good facilities. The care and support are very good and always available.
Mum has been a resident in the Kindersuite unit for six months. She is extremely settled and thinks of the staff and residents as her friends, which is very heartwarming for me. The activity staff create amazing activities for the residents, and Mum takes part in a lot of them - especially the music ones. The admin staff and catering are all so welcoming, and I love the big smiles that greet me when I arrive for a visit. I am always updated about Mum - both her health, well-being and contentment are so important to each staff member. Thank you, everyone.
The staff at the home could not be more helpful. There is a great atmosphere at the home. Everything appears very well maintained with high standards of cleanliness and a good laundry service. Our 88-year-old mother has felt at home here, within her first two weeks of residence. Nothing is too much trouble for the enthusiastic staff, a great entertainment schedule for residents and family.
My parents were both in Connaught Court Care Home in Fulford, the staff and management are always welcoming and very friendly.
A fall in March 2023 resulted in a total loss of mobility and privately organised care arrangements proved less than adequate. Facilities provided at Connaught Court proved to be the answer and I became a resident in early June 2023 and my wife followed a week later The care and comfort afforded by Connaught has proved to be all that we could wish for.
