View Full Details of Craigielea Community Nursing HomeGiven my uncle was extremely hostile to being in full time nursing care, staff made his stay comfortable and welcoming. They have been able to demonstrate that he is better cared for within the 24 hr care facility than he was with care in the community with 2 carers 4 times per day. I am so thankful that the staff are able to meet his emotional and physical needs well and that he is allowing them to. This home is outstanding in my opinion !
Staff very hardworking and treat my husband with care and dignity. Happy that new alarm has been installed in my husband's room. His shower facilities need updating, although my request for hand rail and a high additional toilet seat has been installed. I find the management is very easy to approach, which makes me confident that my husband is being given good care at Craigielea.
All the staff go above and beyond at all times and there are no complaints about any aspects of my mum's stay and don't even mention the meals as she gets better fed than me. Overall, I rate Craigielea as excellent because it's deserved, and I'm so pleased my mum is staying in such a nice place with absolutely fantastic staff. It makes a big difference when you know she's being well looked after when you can't be there.
Recently lost my dad in Craigielea and I could not ask for more, the care and love my dad received from every single member of staff could not have been better over the 2 years my dad was there. A special type of person becomes a carer Craigielea has this in abundance. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you did for my dad right up to the end. Love to you all have a great Christmas and New Year and love to all the residents.
Resident has only been in for two weeks. All options up to now have been good. Too soon, or unable to comment on certain items, but impressions are good.
My mam was taken in by Craigielea Community Nursing Home and has been shown the very best of love, care and professionalism. I personally couldn't have wished for a better home and experience for her. It was a very difficult decision for me, as I had looked after her myself for many years, but I knew with her developing various Dementia and Alzheimer's, she needed professional care. The management, carers and all the other staff are very approachable, and nothing is a problem for them to help and support everyone.
Craigielea is an excellent care home. The staff are friendly and I am always impressed by how well they know my parents. The care provided is very good indeed. I genuinely feel that my parents are receiving excellent care. I am always welcomed warmly, no matter what time I arrive.
It is a very caring and supportive service and I believe that the staff are all very well-trained. I know that the activities play an important part in my mother-in-law's quality of life and she enjoys it there immensely. The management are particularly excellent at their jobs and I think the service they head is good value for money.
I would recommend Craigelea as the staff are professional and the care provided replicates the 'Good' CQC rating. All staff from management to floor staff are supportive. Good food, clean, supportive and welcoming.
I find the home always nice and clean, the staff and food are good and they are always willing to help if you need it. I have had a lot to do with homes over the years. I think this is a lovely place for my husband to live at this point in his life.
My mam has been a resident for approximately one year, in that time I have found the staff extremely friendly and helpful. My mam is well cared for and comfortable in her room and knows most of the staff, her face lights up when they engage with her and this is very important to her family.
My great great Grandfather has never looked so well in a long time. Great staff team from management to senior staff, ancillary staff, more so care staff. At times a thank you isn't enough for the care and love given.
My aunt receives the best care at Craigielea Community Nursing Home. All of my aunts care needs are met fantastically. The girls continuously reassure my nervous aunt. she loves living at Craigielea. staff and management are first class.
This review is in respect of my great, great grandfather, who has improved immensely since being admitted into Craigielea. Great care, love and compassion shown by all staff. They are amazing.
Getting Mam out of her room to miss is marvellous. Her mood has improved, and she seems more settled now - she's not asking to go home every visit! The carers and the rest of the staff seem lovely with her. My heartfelt thanks for looking after her so well.
I was very pleased with the care my dad was given in the six months with you. The staff were kind, considerate and very understanding of his complex medical issues.
Visited my mum today, absolutely disgusted, moved her rooms without any input from family. She has been shoved into a poky awful room with furniture I wouldn't give to the homeless, dangerous screws hanging from the drawers when opened, the non-used TV fell off and just missed my mum in her wheelchair when I opened the draw, her clothes were just squashed into and thrown into the wardrobe that also does not close and along with men's clothing and underpants? They probably haven't done a risk assessment for my mum or their staff, no room for staff to use a hoist without putting my mum at risk or themselves. My mum has Dementia and I feel she has been treated like a homeless dog, no dignity or care at all. Along with making complaints about her soiled clothes a while back and her hygiene, I feel I have no other choice but to remove her from this badly run nursing home that shows no respect for residents or family. A very saddened and heavy hearted family member.
My wife is a resident here and a couple of weeks back it was our wedding anniversary. I would just like to thank everybody at the home, management and staff for the lovely day they gave my wife, they went above and beyond. Also thanks for the beautiful cake they provided. In these difficult times, it's nice to meet people who care. Thank you all. Regards and respect.
Extremely poorly run care home. My sister was a resident here for 18 months or so. At first she was receiving outstanding care, but then once management changed her level of care was extremely poor causing her to be hospitalised on two occasions. Management is not willing to take any responsibility for this. Thankfully we have moved her to a better care setting. However, we do still have a police matter ongoing with Craigielea due to gifts of hers going missing. There are many care staff here who will go above and beyond but unfortunately, management and a few others are giving the place a bad reputation.
I would like to thank all the staff of Craigielea Community Nursing Home for the fantastic work they have done in keeping my brother and the other residents safe from Covid-19 during this crisis. Prior to this I was very happy with the care my brother received. The manager of the Adams Unit has kept me up to date through FaceTime.
