View Full Details of Pavilion CourtMy aunt has been in this home for a few weeks now. She has settled in very quickly and is very happy. The staff are kind and considerate and always have the time to listen to her and are able to meet all of her needs. She is very well looked after in a very safe environment.
My father has been in Pavilion Court for six weeks, discharged from hospital. All the care staff look after Dad well, they're very kind and although they're very busy give us assistance when we ask. They communicate with me all the time, keeping me informed of any issues with Dad or if they have any concerns. I am very happy with Dad's care and feel he is safe here.
Excellent care and palliative care. Staff are all lovely and welcoming. They did everything to help our sister and us. Thank you for taking lovely care of her.
Excellent care and palliative care. Staff and management can't do enough for relatives and residents. Everyone is brilliant.
My mum has been here for 2 years. During that time she has always appeared happy and well looked after. My mum has difficulty communicating and behavioural issues due to the severity of her condition. The staff have done an excellent job of dealing with her. We recently had a CHL assessment and it was obvious from the support given to me and my mum that they had a detailed care plan in place and always acted in my mum's best interests and overall really knew her.
My mam is well cared for in Pavilion Court. Each member of staff is a star, the management team are very helpful, the nurses and carers are so supportive and helpful and everyone is very approachable. The home is very welcoming, and we as a family are kept up to date with all events and informed of any happenings. I can’t thank the staff enough for their care and attention.
My dad moved in June 2022 until he passed in December 2023. He had advanced Parkinson's and needed nursing care. The home is well laid out. It doesn't smell like some others. The most important part of any care home is the staff and they are top-grade here. Some cared for my dad even more than family members could - with their heart. From the manager to the nurses, to the carers to everyone else, the staff were top class. With regards to activities. There was always something going on, although my dad's condition meant he didn't partake. On my dad's passing, the care home helped the family. They offered an undertaker, they gave us space and time to collect Dad's things to empty the room. Well recommend.
I am happy with the care some days, depending on which staff are on.
Friendly staff. Good communication.
My 92 year old father, increasingly frail and in poor health, moved into Pavilion Court earlier this year, after the death of my mum in April. I have nothing but praise for Pavilion Court. Right from the start the management were solicitous and reassuring and the interest in my dad's personal needs (which can be complicated and at times rather exacting) and the review of his circumstances have been thorough. The GP in attendance is caring and interested, as are the nursing staff, whom I have witnessed in action and who telephone me regularly to update me on his situation. Without exception, the carers I meet are polite and cheerful and always attentive. This has been an extremely challenging year, for him and for all the family, and I am enormously grateful for the role all the staff at Pavilion Court now have in the care and well being of my father; they treat him with care, patience and dignity and he is more settled, stable and at ease than I have seen him for a long time.
My brother used to spend a lot of time in his room watching TV but now getting to know the staff a bit better he is now leaving his room a lot more to play bingo. Also if there are any issues it gets sorted as soon as possible which is a great peace of mind for my family and me.
First impressions count for a lot and my first impression was that this care home was 'underfunded' in appearance. My aunt and uncle were transferred together from the hospital at short notice which we appreciate. They were placed in a dementia unit neither having dementia but we were grateful they were together. Points - Both rooms had missing light bulbs, handles falling from drawers, generally neglected. The light fitting in one room was damaged. The carers met were great.
My expectations were not high but after arriving at the entrance my first impressions were less than good. It looked unkempt and uncared for with lots of deliveries just dumped in the hall. Not welcoming at all. My aunt and uncle have separate rooms, no light bulbs in lamps or pendant lights, handles hanging off drawers and an old table (from god knows where!). It is obvious that this care home needs a lot of love and attention. It is not homely in the slightest.
The manager is fantastic and has developed the home a lot since COVID. She is approachable and really cares about residents, family and staff. The residents have Alzheimer’s and I think it is appalling to change the manager when residents need familiarity as change can be frightening for them. She creates a supportive and caring environment and fosters a positive and inclusive culture within the care home. She encourages open communication, respect for residents and staff, and creates an atmosphere where everyone feels valued and heard. She develops strong relationships and establishes good relationships with residents, their families, and staff members. The manager shows empathy and listens actively. On behalf of the families, a lot of families will remove their residents because the manager has done so much for them. I really hope that you will reconsider your decision to remove a fantastic manager who has already done so much and will do more to make the home outstanding if you give her time.
I would recommend this care home because they make all the residents feel like they are at home, they change them every day, and get them in and out of bed so the residents can interact with other residents and family!
My grandad has been in Pavilion Court for just over a year and was bed bound, he was always wanted to be in a chair or wheelchair, the staff have been amazing, he is now out of bed every day he goes to the dining room and the lounge every day too, he has his good days and bad but the staff are amazing they make him feel at home and they always have a laugh and carry on with him which he loves they always treat him like he's part of the family. I would highly recommend Pavilion Court to anyone they treat the residents with dignity and respect and as a family, we can't thank them enough.
My father was bedbound when he first went into the home. He was lonely, bored and shouted quite a lot. Since January he has been hoisted out of bed and taken to the day room where he is much happier, seems a lot more alert, and is able to socialise with the other residents. He is also taken to the dining room for his meals now instead of being alone in his room. The staff and carers treat my dad with respect and dignity. Whatever he requires the staff and carers do their best to supply it, even when he requests a cup of tea at least every half an hour. The home is very welcoming and they keep you informed of any problems or incidents regarding my father.
Such a friendly, caring home. Approachable management and wonderful staff.
My dad entered Pavilion Court under the lockdown. Although we were unable to visit for a long time due to Government restrictions, the staff kept us fully informed as to how he was doing and arranged phone calls and facetime with him. Since we have been able to visit, we can see how well he has been looked after and how professional, helpful and friendly all the staff are.
The home is very well organised and secure. My mother has been looked after very well, and staff oblige at all times. Recommend this care home to anyone in similar circumstances.
