View Full Details of Prince's CourtDad got settled in on Christmas Eve after a rushed search for respite. Prince's Court was by far the best we had on offer and very competitive. The staff are lovely, the managers are very professional and approachable and listen to concerns. Dad is well cared for and safe. Those were our biggest concerns.
Mum spent only 6 weeks in Prince's Court but the care and respect that was given was exemplary. I noticed even when staff were helping other residents they just took so much time to help and listen to everyone. Mum was so glad to be cared for and felt comfortable in her room. I've never experienced care like it and can only say to everyone, managers, carers, nurses, admin, and cleaners; well-done everyone. They all greeted you with a smile and nothing was a trouble to them. Sadly Mum died and throughout the whole process, we were treated with dignity and respect. Thanks again to everyone concerned.
Despite being kept very busy, staff were always cheerful, pleasant and helpful. The family member's room was clean and with every necessary comfort, bathroom clean and roomy, basin rather small. Staff gave willingly of their time to discuss the welfare of my relative. Liaison with care home and surgery before discharge was very efficient.
My husband has now been in Prince's Court since July, I cannot thank them enough. My lovely husband has had care second to none every single one of the staff are so caring and loving, not only to him but to me also. The food and cleanliness of the home is spotless. The food is great. I go home knowing that I'm leaving my husband in good and caring hands.
I needed information to complete a lengthy application form for my stepmother's attendance allowance. The staff at Prince's Court were really helpful despite the demands made on their time. Their care for my stepmother has also been first-rate. I am very grateful.
My dad arrived at Princes Court directly from the hospital in April. He has complex and nursing needs and it was difficult to find a suitable home for him. Thankfully I was able to find him a place here and since his admission, I have been thoroughly impressed by the staff throughout the home. All are friendly, and approachable and have made my dad feel so welcome, even when he is displaying aggressive behaviour. From the care home manager all the way to the staff on the ground you have been all magnificent. It hasn't been an easy time settling in but the staff have worked wonders and they really care about him. I feel so lucky relieved and happy that I know I can leave him in a place where he is truly cared for.
The staff have been amazing here since my nana's admission, they have shown nothing but care and attention for her. The staff are always so kind and welcoming when you arrive. As a family, we can't praise the staff enough for how much they have done to help my nana settle in so quickly and feel so welcome. The management is so approachable with any concerns and queries we have had. Thank you to all the staff, especially Albert Unit, for the care and support you show both to Nana and our family!
Our Mum was sent to Prince's Court directly from the hospital for end-of-life care. I wouldn't recommend anybody using this home for end-of-life care. They appear to lack the skills and staff to provide adequate end-of-life care our Mum frequently complained about being left on her own for hours without anybody popping in. Our Mum was fully competent and able to assess situations. As she was deteriorating she developed terminal agitation. I recognised this as I have a Care Manager background and have experienced it. Despite many requests for the staff to use the end-of-life medication prescribed the staff failed to do so. Our Mum suffered unnecessarily and as a result, we have PTSD despite the fact I have sat through many deaths including my Dads. We had many excuses for not giving the medication including well she's not doing it to us we can only use it when she does it to us. The staff didn't carry out appropriate mouth care on the day our Mum passed there were only 2 mouth swabs used.
Our dad moved into Prince's Court in January this year after we moved him from another care home. It has been his happiest few months ever. He has been well and truly cared for, fed properly, cleaned and I would say loved as well, even though he has been difficult at times. We cannot fault anyone. This care home went above and beyond. Prince's Court thank you.
I was transferred here from an NHS hospital ward in the afternoon. When I arrived, the nurse on duty was there to welcome me and settle me into my lovely room. Tea was offered and enter a lovely hot meal. All the staff were friendly, courteous, cheerful and professional. The physios, OTs and doctors were very friendly, informative and helpful. I would recommend this rehab unit to anyone looking for a well-run, friendly, clean place. Management and admin staff were on the ball! Thank you!
I spent three wekks in Princes Court having respite care following a fall. Although the room was rather cramped, the staff were kind, caring and supportive.
Wonderful, caring staff. Clean and tidy always. Good food. I cannot praise this establishment enough for looking after my mum.
My husband has been a resident here for 18 months until his death 24/11/23. He has been well cared for, treated with warmth and respect as have I on every visit. The staff are so kind and considerate. I have had no need to worry over all his care.
Our dad was being discharged from hospital to a nursing home. My brother and I called in to visit the home to see what it was like. We were greeted and given a tour of the home by the Head Nurse who was welcoming and answered all our questions. The home was clean, organised, residents appeared happy and most of all, it smelled fresh. We spoke to a couple of residents as we passed and they had good things to say about the home. Our dad was discharged into the nursing side of the home where he remained for 3 weeks until his death. From the minute he went in, until he died, he received the best care available and nothing was a bother to any of the staff. His medical and general care needs were met and when a problem arose, the nurses were on to it straight away. Dad enjoyed his meals, and extra helpings were available if/when he requested them. There is a kitchen for family to make themselves and relatives cups of tea when they visit. We can't thank them enough for looking after Dad.
My mum has been in Prince's Court for nearly 12 years. She was on EMI ward up to her sadly passing away 1/08/23. I have been very happy with how they have looked after her, it was very obvious how much she was cared for, not just a number in a room. Cannot speak more highly of her time there.
The most amazing, caring, thoughtful staff you could ever want to look after your loved one. They are professional, efficient and genuinely caring. No agency workers allow my mum to make good relationships with permanent staff, who also genuinely care about myself and my father. A clean, calm environment with a wide choice of food, entertainment, etc. Would recommend it to anybody!
My wife had to transfer from a previous care home that could not provide the nursing care my wife required due to her advancing state of Alzheimer's dementia. It is now a pleasure to see how well she looks and behaves after just a few weeks, this I believe is due to entirely to the understanding and involvement the staff have with the residents of the home.
My wife has had this illness (vascular dementia) for about five to six years and during this time I've looked after her and there wasn't a day gone by when family, friends or social workers advised me she should be in social care but I felt very apprehensive thinking would she settle and would she be looked after properly? However, my fears were short-lived, as the staff at Princes Court, I found, were very courteous and understanding, which I appreciated so so much and my wife feels quite at home, which is the most important thing. So thank you once again.
Excellent care in a great environment.
There was some apprehension about my wife's move into the home, but any fears have been dispelled after only 2 and a half weeks. From the manager downwards we have been impressed with the genuine care given to residents, the room, cleanliness and general air of helpfulness that is so evident.
