View Full Details of Windsor Court Care HomeMy father was resident at Windsor Court for two years before he died. The staff were brilliant and managed really well in often challenging circumstances. Special mention to one staff member in particular who was always so friendly and kind. Thank you to the team for your care for my Dad.
I am very pleased with the quality of care provided. My mother has experienced a high level of compassion and understanding of her needs from the staff.
My mother spent the last two weeks of her life at Windsor Court. She was treated with care and respect from day one. I love the way the staff speak to the residents, with humour and affection. I could not have asked for a better place. I knew she was safe and the staff listened to my questions and concerns and addressed each one, keeping me up to date with any changes in Mum's condition. I'm very grateful for the care staff, nurses, admin and management. A wonderful team.
My partner is a lot happier now he is in a different room. He used to get very annoyed as residents kept going into his room and taking his belongings. He had no privacy because no lock on bedroom door, this caused a few fights which I was very concerned about as he is very unsteady on his legs and frail. So myself and partner more settled.
Very happy with the service. The staff are all grateful to the team they have been really well looked after. I would definitely recommend Windsor Court. My mums discharge into the care home was sudden and very challenging but I'm grateful she was discharged into the home she is at.
My husband has been here for almost 18 months. He has settled really well and the care he gets is keeping me happy. I don't worry about him when I'm leaving after visits as the staff are really professional and caring. It's all about the care the residents need and they certainly are very well cared for in all aspects.
I find the staff and the way my wife is treated with great satisfaction.
The staff that looked after my husband for his 2 weeks of respite were amazing, very patient and understanding of his needs. I was able to have peace of mind that he was being well looked after. One particular member of staff went out of his way to play some of my husband's favourite music on his phone. Would highly recommend Windsor Court and helpfully they have a bed available for future respite. So a big thank you to you all.
Staff are very good with Mum and I know they really care about her. The home is always clean and warm. I am impressed that since Mum went into Windsor Court in March 2023, she has deteriorated and Mum's care reflects this change (deterioration due to illness). They have activities and Mum gets her hair done by the hairdresser and the chiropractor visits regularly. They have also invested in new mattresses and a new lift.
My mother is a resident at Windsor Court for approximately 3 years. The care and support that is provided to her is first-class. I am here to visit regularly and the food and cleanliness of both my mum and home our first class. The care is amazing and also a big support to myself. I live in Scotland and I'm kept up to date on any changes to my mum's health and well-being. The carriers are a real support and very caring to all residents. This is a wonderful home and have no hesitation in recommending Windsor Court to other new residents.
Everyone is friendly and very helpful in spite of difficult circumstances.
The carers have been very patient with my wife who can be very awkward and stubborn.
Lots of staff around today on my mother's floor. A lot more than my previous visit. The staff are very friendly and helpful and courteous at all times. Today offered to use my mother's room for privacy. The room was clean and tidy.
Very satisfactory indeed.
Absolutely amazing and lovely staff, very friendly and gave great care to my mam, they were very helpful to us as a family and to my mam, we all couldn’t thank them enough for the amazing care they gave! The home was always very clean and the food was always great. Couldn’t think of a better place for my mam to have been put!
My dad is very unhappy here, but whenever I discuss this with the home or his social worker they say he would be the same anywhere, so he’s just left to it, it’s heartbreaking to see him just fading away. He decided to become vegetarian but instead of arranging a vegetarian diet for him, he’s just given the regular meals without the meat, so often just potatoes and veg. Covid rules are different depending on which member of staff you speak to, but these days staff are rarely encountered. Visitors aren’t allowed to enter the communal areas but if you need anything or want to leave you have to wander around for ages looking for a member of staff. Most of the staff are wonderful individuals, but they're just aren’t enough of them. I’ve regularly spent more than ten minutes trying to find someone, with residents completely unsupervised for at least that period of time. If I was able to, I’d have my dad out of there tomorrow.
I was placed in the home for emergency respite due to my home care providers not being able to move me safely until we got some new equipment in the home. I have enjoyed my time here. The staff are lovely and have always helped me with care and dignity. I will definitely return for respite in the future.
My husband was placed in the home for emergency respite due to home carers unable to lift/move him safely in our home. The staff were so helpful to both me and my husband. The manager is especially lovely and friendly. I will definitely use this home again, as I have peace of mind that my husband is being well cared for.
We as a family can not thank the staff enough for the care of my mam. Care, food, excellent. I only have one fault which is there only being one lift and when broken is out of action for long periods. This was a concern for us but staff happy to move Mam to lower floor (well done). Thank you.
With all dealings with Windsor Court, I have received honest and friendly responses, especially over this worrisome time. I am kept informed on my uncle's health and wellbeing, which alleviates a huge weight as I am the only relative local and have a heavy load with my husband and mother. I look forward to being able to see my uncle and his carers more often.
