View Full Details of Stapleton House Care CentreI was a resident in Stapleton House from October till the beginning of January I was there as I was waiting for a wheelchair-friendly home which I'm now in. From my first meeting with the manager and one of the carers, I felt at ease. The carers were friendly and helpful. As a chef myself I have to say the meals were most acceptable.
Mam now has a permanent placement at Stapleton House, having been in respite care since May. Her room overlooks the garden and we have spent time out there in the nicer weather. I cannot praise the staff enough, they are all very friendly and caring and they go out of their way to be helpful. I would highly recommend Stapleton House for consideration to anyone looking for a caring friendly and safe environment, for a loved one.
My mam was a resident at Stapleton House for approx 18 months, initially receiving residential care and then, after a lengthy hospital, stay returning for palliative nursing care. It made such a positive difference to us that she was able to remain in a familiar, comfortable setting in her final weeks. As there appears to be low staff turnover, Mam was able to build relationships and trust with the people involved in looking after her, as did myself and Dad. The staff genuinely care about the residents and are friendly and approachable if there is a concern, or if you just need a listening ear and a cuppa. I would definitely recommend Stapleton House. We will not forget the warmth, kindness and compassion shown by all of the staff to my mam and to our family.
My dad has been in Stapleton House for two years and his care over this period has been excellent. The staff are absolutely brilliant so caring and friendly and they do so much for the residents. I would highly recommend Stapleton House to anyone who needs care or respite for a loved one.
After an informative and pleasant visit to the home, my sister and I felt confident in recommending that Mam be transferred there after her long stay in the hospital. Mam was made welcome and treated with great care and dignity from day one. Mam required nursing care; the care given by the nurses was outstanding. The nursing staff was always approachable and willing to discuss and explain Mam's treatment regime. All staff (nursing, care, admin, cleaning, chefs etc.) were kind and considerate to Mam, to our family and to our father who was finding life without his wife at home, after 70 years of marriage, very difficult. Mam's room was comfortable and she enjoyed a garden view. As Mam was a resident from January to May she enjoyed watching the garden come to life after the winter.
My mam was transferred from the local hospital to Stapleton house, where she spent the last three months of her life in their care. Mam was treated with respect and dignity at all times. Staff were very caring and compassionate both to my mam and her family.
Although Mam was in and out of the hospital for a lot of the time she was in Stapleton the care was excellent. Mam felt safe, happy and cared for. The family are grateful for the compassion and dignity with which she was looked after. Nothing was a trouble and we were always warmly welcomed when visiting.
My dad was a resident receiving palliative care. He was treated with respect at all times. They even allowed him to have his cat stay with him, which was a great comfort to him. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. The staff are friendly and cannot do enough to help in any way they can. I can honestly say each and every member of staff is wonderful and made my dad's last few weeks of his life a positive experience for him.
My mother spent the last year of her life at Stapleton House. My sister and I really appreciated the care and compassion shown to our mother by all the staff during her time there. I would be happy to recommend Stapleton House to any family looking for a lovely care home for their loved one.
Outstanding! Management and staff were amazing, going over and above to facilitate transfer of Mam to Stapleton House from hospital at very, very short notice for end-of-life care. I cannot over-emphasize enough how important this was to us as a family and the positive care outcomes for Mam. All staff went out of their way to make Mam and us feel welcome and supported from the moment Mam arrived. Mam was treated with dignity, compassion, kindness, efficiency, and professionalism from everyone. I have cared for Mam for many years but was finally confident enough in the staff to take a step back and allow others to 'care' for Mam. This allowed me to become my mam's daughter once again instead of worrying about her care. This provided quality time for Mam and myself which I cannot thank the staff enough for. Ourselves as a family were supported and reassured at all times and there was a never-ending supply of tea and sympathy. Even fellow residents were a delight. Thank you!
My mam was unable to be looked after at home. With the help of a social worker, Mam began respite at Stapleton House. The care staff and nursing staff recognised Mam was very unwell. My mam was diagnosed with staff four bowel cancer, and she needed palliative care. The home provided Mam with full-time, permanent care, for which I am very grateful for. My mam spent the end of her life in Stapleton House. The staff were amazing. They gave Mam the best care they could. My mam was no longer mobile, so having a room with a garden view was very much appreciated. Management and staff made me feel very welcome. Mam loved to chat with staff and some of the mobile residents, who checked to see if she was ok. All the staff and Mam's GP made Mam comfortable to the very end of her life. I am truly grateful for everything.
Following extended hospital stays, my mother was transferred to Stapleton House for palliative, end-of-life nursing care. This was a home-from-home experience. Nothing was a problem for any of the staff - including the nurses, carers, domestics, manager, administrator and handyman. We were able to spend as much time as we wanted with my mother. The staff encouraged us to decorate my mother's room with her own personal items, such as photographs. The staff were also very caring towards me and my mother's other visitors. Most of all, though, the care and compassion from the staff were tangible and also touched the close family members. My mother was cared for with dignity and respect in her final days. I will never forget this.
Mom was transferred to Stapleton House from the hospital in December 2020 initially for recovery and respite care, becoming a permanent resident in April 2021. In her final two years, she was content, comfortable and safe in a very caring and friendly home. We found the management and staff approachable, friendly and accommodating, especially during the various Covid restriction, which was beyond their control. We had no issues and would recommend Stapleton House.
I would like to start with home from home, which is what Stapleton House is. My dad has been in since last September, something I never ever thought I would have to write, however; if anyone reading this has any concerns about putting their loved ones in a care home, this is definitely the place to put their minds at rest. The staff are caring and treat my dad with the respect he deserves. The place is clean and inviting, and the nursing staff are exceptional, and in that, I also include the management. He has settled in also, something I thought would not happen. As he is a loving family man who thrives with his family around him, but the staff comes a close second. I would like to give the catering staff a shout out as the food is also home cooked and delicious. Last but not least I can close my eyes at night knowing he is in excellent hands.
During his final weeks, my father was lucky to have been looked after by the compassionate and professional staff, whom became his extended family during a very difficult time (covid19). He was treated with dignity and respect by the very caring manager and staff, whom connected with him from first entering to his passing. Our family was also treated with the same consideration, and we will always appreciate this. The management has stayed in touch, asking regarding my wellbeing and that of my family which is greatly appreciated.
The facilities, service and nursing care were outstanding. My mother received end of life care and we appreciated the warmth and understanding from all the staff.
My auntie has been in this home since the end of January 2019 and she settled in very well and very quickly. I feel her needs are met and I am kept informed of any changes etc. She's content and in relatively good health for her age. The home is well presented, safe and secure. The staff are friendly and I've never had any concerns regarding her welfare, however, it is very costly and I feel £3000 a month excessive as she doesn't really receive an awful lot of nursing care, but has assistance with showering and dressing.
My mother was only resident at Stapleton House for a short period of time prior to her passing. Whilst resident there, she was treated with care, kindness and respect. All of the staff were extremely caring and professional but particular mention should be made of the nursing staff who were exceptional. They treated my mother with consideration and dignity in what would be her final weeks. Based on our experience, we would recommend Stapleton house as a care provider. Both the management and staff made our family welcome, were receptive and attentive to our needs during a distressing and difficult time.
More than happy with the care provided for my father.
This home has a really nice atmosphere around the place. It really does feel like home from home. The staff are very helpful and nothing seems too much for them. The staff from all levels are fantastic and look after the residents well.
