View Full Details of Willowdene Care HomeThe staff are always so friendly and caring towards not just the residents but also the families and friends. We have had my grandma in 1 other home before moving here, since she moved she has become her chatty self again, she's eating and drinking properly (when required the staff are always happy to assist her), she is engaging in the activities. My grandma is so well cared for now she calls it her forever home and this makes us so happy as a family. I would highly recommend putting family members here.
Willowdene is a family environment, staff are extremely friendly, caring and genuine in their approach to residents and their families. The atmosphere in the home is always warm and happy. My mother is being well cared for by all the staff regardless of their role in the home. They take time to engage with Mam, often sit and speak with her so she does not feel isolated, at 96 years young that is important to us as a family.
My mam is in good, safe hands. We feel as though all staff are approachable and deal with any queries honestly and with Mam's best interests at heart. Since the manager returned, changes that have been implemented have been positive. I'm pleased he's back. Activities are going from strength to strength and all residents are thought out with regards to participation.
Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Staff make a care home
Since moving my mother into Willowdene I have found the staff including the domestic staff to be very cheerful, friendly and very helpful with any queries or concerns that I may have. The staff make sure all the residents not just my mother are catered for and treated with respect, even when a resident is sometimes being difficult. They provide lots of activities so residents may join in if they wish to, which I feel is essential to keep them active and their morale up so they don't feel they have been forgotten. I have no reservations that my mother is being treated and cared for in the best possible way by all staff.
Staff and management are always ready to meet your needs and very approachable. Activities are good, plenty to do on a daily basis. On a negative side, housekeeping could be improved (empty bins in the room) and laundry facilities (lost clothing). For people who request to stay in their room, due to mobility issues, carers could leave the TV or radio on and also drink and snack out if the patient's relatives have left snacks and drinks in the room on a morning.
Willowdene is a caring place, the staff do their utmost to be welcoming and are respectful to residents in their day-to-day care.
Always a pleasant experience, staff very friendly.
My friend was admitted to Willowdene in November for respite care. The home was an absolute delight. The staff were very kind and nothing was to much hassle. My friend made really good progress with the support of the staff and was able to return home. Thank you so much to the wonderful staff and manager at Willowdene.
The care provided by the staff is excellent.
My mother entered the Willowdene Care Home in November. She felt at home straight away. The staff were kind and understanding. We were impressed at the way her needs were cared for. We also noted that my mother has responded to her care. In that she has become more animated, she smiles a lot more and has quickly become used to her new environment.
We are very happy with the care that Mum is receiving at Willowdene. The staff are exceptionally kind and patient with her, which has helped her to adjust well to the move. The food is excellent and she enjoys all the activities on offer each day. We would recommend this home very highly. We are very impressed by it.
I felt that the staff were very friendly, willing to help and always giving good advice. There is always a wide range of activities for the residents. What I saw was all types of residents are catered for.
Excellent standard. Friendly staff who are always willing to help. Plenty of activities for the patients to join in. Fantastic safety/security.
I visited my great uncle who resides at Willowdene Care Home. I was extremely impressed by the care he was receiving. The staff were totally engaged and had excellent and nurturing relationships with the residents. It was clear the care home is "well-led" you could tell that the staff were on board with the values of the establishment. I witnessed residents being treated with respect and dignity.
The carers in this home are so lovely with all the residents and very committed. All the staff are lovely and friendly, cleaners, kitchen staff, the lot. Sadly, the cleanliness has deteriorated in recent months, not due to cleaners but staff cuts and cheap products. The activities with residents are excellent. They are always doing things and they all have loads of fun.
My husband has been a resident at Willowdene since June 2010. During that time I feel that he has received a high level of care, addressing his personal needs at all times. From my point of view, the staff achieve a family atmosphere, showing concern for myself as well as my husband. The genuine, caring nature of the staff has ensured my husband has experienced a calm and comfortable quality of life.
My personal feelings towards the home are it's very clean, the carers are second to none they work very hard to please all residents and relatives. The entertainment co-ordinators are fantastic loving, caring and brilliant ar what they do. All the staff are excellent.
All staff great and helpful.
