View Full Details of The Mews Care HomeDad moved to The Mews in September 2024 as he needed nursing care. Staff have taken excellent care of him and we have been made to feel very welcome at all times. His care is completely tailored to him and his needs are met above and beyond, they anticipate when he needs anything, Dad is unable to converse due to his dementia and can be difficult so this makes us confident that he is happy. He is currently very unwell and staff have kept us fully informed of his wellbeing when we visit. Always offered refreshments during our visits. The care home is quiet and warm, the atmosphere has certainly helped calm Dad in his worst moments. Thank you so much, you are wonderful.
Staff are always pleasant polite knowledgable and helpful. My sister-in-law tells us the same and often tells us how satisfied she is with her room and all the staff she has contact with. My wife and I are very satisfied with our choice of Care Home and in the 18 months our relative has been a resident, we have had no issues or problems.
I have found everything is lovely, very courteous staff towards all residents, the home itself is very clean and warm, comfortable. My brother is happy with the food and selection here. When walking round the home, I hear the staff being pleasant and helpful towards those that can't get out of the rooms.
Excellent Care Home, Mam is very settled and the care she is receiving is always excellent. She has been in the home since Easter 2024. The staff are really friendly and helpful at all times and nothing is too much trouble for them.
My Mother-In-Law has been at the Mews since April 2024 and she is very happy. The care is excellent and the staff are very good, they always have time for the residents and take excellent care of her. Overall, the family are very happy with her care.
Some of the experience I have had is some good days and also some bad days, when my husband was in hospital I was glad that he was coming back to the home because he was getting well looked after, some things I have seen have not been up to my standards.
I have had no bad experience with the care, it has been up to standard. Communal areas need a new upgrade, needs decorating, garden has been neglected, need an activities person for the residents to do more things.
Amazing care home. My dad has been here a few months now and all the staff are very caring and have plenty of time for my dad which he needs. Nothing is a problem, they always have a smile on their faces. The food is to a very high standard, my dad had gained weight which he needed. A very friendly care home. Best decision I made. The place is always very clean. Thank you everyone for all your hard work.
Choose this home after looking at many in the area, had my aunty in for 10 weeks, now she's getting great care. Excellent good, settled in lovely, great with my uncle and me who visit twice a day, every day. Thank you.
Our mother spent just over 3 weeks in respite care and we were very pleased with the care and compassion shown to both her and the other residents. Nothing was too much trouble, the standard of cleanliness was excellent and the staff was kind, caring and patient under sometimes very challenging circumstances.
My mother spent 6 Weeks in The Mews Care Home. Our family had no previous experience of using Care Home services and we were apprehensive when my mother was discharged from hospital and admitted to an assessment bed in The Mews. We had no reason to be concerned. From the moment my mother was admitted the staff were attentive, caring and professional. All aspects of my mother’s care and welfare were taken care of with tenderness and understanding. The quality of care from the nursing, care and facilities teams was exceptional. Catering was first class. Our family are immensely appreciative of the care provided by every member of The Mews Care Home team.
Would not like to be anywhere else. My experience has been excellent. The staff are kind and helpful.
The lack of trained staff at the moment is concerning, it seems to be new faces every time. Some cannot speak English, which makes it difficult for them to care for residents. Those that do know them on a personal level are great, go the extra mile like sharing takeaways and making sure they get involved in activities. All too often their residents do not get their time-sensitive medication when they should. The lack of communication is appalling and was throughout Covid-19, meaning not speaking to loved ones or having any updates in a year.
The staff are always lovely and I feel genuinely safe in the knowledge they care about my grandad and do the best they can for him. They always make a fuss of him and I'm glad he has them to look after him.
My brother was well looked after in all aspects of the home.
Hardworking carers and cleaning staff who take time to interact with residents. Staff do ring me with any issues and do update me regarding my mam's wellbeing. Short-staffed and agency workers do not know residents well, which led to my mam not being fed as needed assistance. Also, mam is afraid of the male agency workers. The rooms are a little shabby. Food looks dry and my mam needs soft food.
Mum is very happy here and even her visitors comment on this. She likes her room and is proud to show it off. All of her needs are met and any problems have been quickly resolved.
The staff are very caring and helpful.
In my 80 years, I have never been in a home until the last couple of weeks and my experience has been good so far. I would recommend the home if I need to.
My dad is shown respect, dignity and a great deal of care. I can't fault the staff, food or quality of the care home. It really does have the feel of home.
