Astune Rise Care Home has done nothing but look after my nana. She is happy there and well cared for. The entertainment and opportunities they provide their residents and families is outstanding. The manager is so friendly and welcoming. She is a credit to the care home.

The manager and staff are wonderful, always helpful and caring. My father has settled in so well, he is loving living at Astune Rise. My mum and family were worried about making the decision of Dad having to go into care, but we didn't need to. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, they are always happy and smiling, polite and professional. This care home is not about staff and residents it's one big family.

My husband was ill for over 2 years with COPD and heart disease. He had good GP care, with ambulatory oxygen from May but deteriorated and was admitted to very busy respiratory wards. He was transferred to Astune Rise Care Home for terminal care and from admission, tensions eased for him and his family. He had full o2 therapy and six days later died very peacefully after superb care. Family well supported.

Sorry, it's taken so long for this review needed a bit of time. Dad was looked after and cared for exceptionally during his time there. I would like to thank all the staff and manager for everything, for making Dad's stay so comfortable, and for making him smile. Thank you so much, it means a lot.

Absolutely fantastic respite care for my Mum. Staff are great and Mum came out happy and 2 weeks on is still really happy. Full star rating which is really important to know for the future. This is the place Mum wants to be when the time comes.

From the day we made contact nothing was too much trouble. The whole team from the manager to the nursing staff, carers and cleaners made our and our mum's experience better than we had imagined. During the 3 weeks of end of life care, Mum was treated with respect, dignity and love and we were given the support and space we needed. We can't thank the team enough. We'd recommend Astune Rise to anyone looking for high-quality care with a personal touch.

When our mum was placed on end-of-life care, we were very lucky to find her a place in Astune Rise. 24 hour visiting and the warm welcome we got the first time we viewed the home made our decision very easy. Mum's life sadly ended after only 3 weeks in the home, but the outstanding care and love she received from the staff, will remain in our hearts. Thank you so much to all the team!

My mam went in January 2024 for respite and never came out. She's totally at home and loves the staff who are caring and always go that extra mile to help. She enjoys the meals and always goes on about them. Entertainment is good and enjoys a particular famous fitness instructor. Astune Rise is always clean I can't thank them enough for how they treat my mam and look after her. Thank you.

Kind caring staff. Can't do enough for residents and visitors. Always a cuppa on the go to make you feel less of a visitor and more homely. Family engagement nights getting everyone involved are always a good laugh and lift spirits. A clean and tidy environment.

Astune Rise is a 'Home'! My mother became a resident following a stroke. My father went into the home for respite care in October. My father returned home and realised he needed residential care as he needed 24/7 care. Mam and Dad are now permanent residents. They have rooms close together and they both love the home. The manager is excellent and nothing is too much trouble. I have asked so many questions as I was the sole carer for my parents and I've been given answers. Everyone working in the home is fantastic and in turn, have become 'friends' to my parents. I can not praise this home enough, it is fantastic.

My family and I are delighted with the level of care provided to our relatives. The whole team are friendly, caring and take the time to treat residents as individuals. The activities are fun, well-balanced and inclusive. Our relatives' health has improved since living at Astune Rise Care Home and because of the quality of the food, they have put weight on which we are delighted about. We feel we were lucky to find Astune Rise and we know our relatives are in very good hands.

Very comfortable and homely place with lovely meals. Staff are all very friendly but professional as well. My mother especially enjoyed when a famous fitness instructor came.

Mum moved into Astune Rise in June 2023, this was a very emotionally charged move for Mum having lived happily in her old home for 55 years, it was also very emotional and stressful time for her family. The manager and her team could not have done more to make this transition as smooth and supportive as possible, the empathy, professionalism and dedication shown by the staff is a constant source of reassurance for Mum and us. Staff are very vigilant, acting immediately when concerns arise regarding changes in Mum’s health and demeanour, they keep me informed of any concerns. I really appreciate that Astune Rise operates an ‘open visiting’ policy, no appointment needed to visit our family/friends it demonstrates a huge commitment to openness and transparency. From observations on my frequent visits to Mum I observe a care home providing a welcoming, safe, holistic, person-centred service.

My mother became a resident of Astune Rise in November 2022. She lived in very poor health although her diagnosis can't be cured, her physical and mental health has improved immensely and this is down to the sheer dedication of all the staff, the nursing care is second to none, she has gained weight due to the lovely food she receives daily. I cannot fault this care home, it has given me and my family more time to spend with Mam, time we truthfully didn't think we had. Thank you Astune Rise you are amazing.

As soon as you enter the home, you feel very welcome. Staff are always smiling and happy to greet you. My dad enjoys the level of care he gets and says the food is excellent. I can always get an update on any health issues of his well-being. All staff are approachable and helpful.

Our family would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff at Astune Rise. The support and care they provided was excellent. It’s such a hard decision to consider care home support and you always want the best for your relative, we believe we got this for our mam/nana at Astune. We will be forever grateful, you truly were outstanding.

My father was a resident at Astune Rise where he sadly passed away in May with his family with him. Dad had only been in the care home a short time but the manager and all of the staff supported my dad to live the rest of his days comfortably and settled. He would often say he loved the place and the staff who were brilliant with him ensuring that Dad was included in all the activities even when he was having an unwell/tired day. When it was the King's Coronation and Dad was too frail to get out of bed the manager and staff took the celebrations to him in bed. When my dad became unwell and went into end-of-life care in his final days the staff supported and clearly cared for my dad, not just as a job but because they loved him, they also supported us as a family both practically by offering us endless drinks and snacks and also emotionally. I can truly say this home is amazing as they put the residents first and listen to the residents and families. A truly amazing home with equally amazing staff.

My auntie was fortunate enough to be part of the Astune family for two years. From the moment she arrived, she said she felt safe and well cared for and we both knew it was the right place for her to live. All the team are amazing, enthusiastic and work really hard to provide a caring, fun environment for all the residents. They go above and beyond to keep the residents engaged and have weekly keep-fit sessions, coffee mornings, and lots of other activities. The manager has a friendly yet professional approach and is always happy to listen to any concerns I may have. I would have no hesitation in recommending this home.

The manager and staff are wonderful, always helpful and caring. My father has settled in so well, he is loving living at Astune Rise. Absolutely fantastic respite care for my Mum. Staff are great and Mum came out happy and 2 weeks on is still really happy. Full star rating which is really important to know for the future. This is the place Mum wants to be when the time comes.

Astune Rise is a 'Home'! My mother became a resident following a stroke. My father went into the home for respite care in October.
