View Full Details of The WillowsAfter a short spell in hospital, it was clear that Dad was no longer able to manage at home, on 7/5/24 he became a resident at The Willows. The care he receives is nothing short of excellent, he's encouraged to take part in activities when he can. The staff are sensitive and compassionate, what more could you ask for. Whether you pass a cleaner, carer or a nurse in the corridor there is always a smile/hello. A very well-managed home with a great team doing great work, from the laundry to the nurses and carers and admin. Keep up the good work!
The staff at The Willows who I have met over the last 10 months, have all been brilliant. Not only do they make my dad feel comfortable, but also his family. It makes for a lovely atmosphere, and I enjoy chatting to all staff when I'm visiting my dad. The carers/nurse/lifestyle team take good care of my dad, and it seems to be more than a job to them; they genuinely care for our loved ones. The laundry and housekeeping staff are all so lovely, and will always stop to chat to my dad and to me. The office staff and maintenance are always willing to help and answer any questions you have. You definitely feel like you're part of a big family. Thank you all.
I find the staff extremely helpful and polite and nothing is too much trouble. In some cases I believe they have gone beyond their remit to help my mother. The staff have allayed any anxiety she may have had about going into care and made her time as comfortable as possible.
I cannot thank the manager, the nurse and the numerous carers enough for the assistance and care they gave to my aunt when she was end of life. They made the admission process as easy as possible in view of some of the difficulties we were faced with. The care given was excellent and the staff cared about her even though they had only known her for a short time. My aunt died peacefully with us by her side, just as we wanted. What a wonderful place this is. Thank you.
Lovely care home, couldn’t thank the manager enough for helping me and my family get my great auntie up here from Peterborough to spend her last days with us even though it was only short term, thank you to all the staff that supported us through this hard time.
My relative recently passed away here and the care was faultless. The staff were so attentive and caring not only to my relative, but to the wider family too. Absolutely amazing, everyone did a wonderful job.
My father-in-law sadly passed away on the 8th of September 2023 but had been a resident of The Willows for five years, and in all of those five years he not only received the best care but was shown love and compassion at all times while receiving his care, but in his last few weeks the staff at The Willows extended that care to all of his loved ones while we were by his side, they went above and beyond to make sure we were all looked after too, and nothing was a problem, for this we will be forever grateful and thankful.
The kindness and compassion all of your staff have shown these past few days I've been visiting my uncle I will never forget. He has been treated with dignity respect and most of all love, you all truly care and it clearly shows not just what I've witnessed with my uncle but from the moment you step through the door. The dedication and care from you all have been exceptional your staff go above and beyond anything I've seen before in a care home. I'm grateful to you all. Thank you.
Just wanted to praise the staff at The Willows for the care and attention paid to our mam. Since becoming a resident in the last couple of months, the improvement in our mam’s general condition and outlook in life has improved significantly. This in many ways has to be put down to the care shown by the staff at The Willows with what seems endless “ hellos”, “ how are you?” and general chit-chat during the day with her. This seems trivial but the feeling of isolation and worry has been removed, and we now see our mam in ways we didn’t think we would again while we struggled to look after her at home. Thank you to everyone at The Willows for doing this and to everyone involved in providing her care.
Absolutely wonderful care home, staff are lovely and always have time to have a chat with you. They treat my dad with respect, dignity and care. The entertainment is brilliant, I can’t fault this care home. My dad has settled in and is very happy, which reassures me we made the right move.
My dad has been in The Willows for over four years now. His needs have changed in that time and he is now completely reliant on staff for all his basic needs and I know these are met well but I also see the staff treating him with compassion, dignity and respect. They saved his life recently when he choked. All the staff, care workers, nurses, domestic, kitchen staff, receptionist and manager are all lovely. Always a smile and a cheery demeanour from everyone. I'm happy that his final years will be here.
This home is excellent. The staff go above and beyond. You can see they enjoy their jobs and genuinely care for the residents. The home is always clean and well-presented. We are so happy that my dad got into this home. Thank you Willows staff for a great and professionally run home.
Dad went to The Willows after being in hospital. Due to the excellent care he received, Dad went from being bedridden to walking within days. The level of care and compassion Dad received went above and beyond our expectations. There were times we couldn't visit due to Covid but we never worried about Dad. We were kept fully informed at all times and nothing was too much trouble. We are so pleased Dad spent his last few months in their care.
My Dad was welcomed with open arms by The Willows manager and staff in October 2021. He came from hospital bedridden, they soon had him back on his feet, his health improved massively and he was well cared for. He formed close relationships with the staff, who were all lovely. He passed away recently but as a family, we were so pleased he spent his last months at The Willows.
The care home provides a high standard of care. The staff are brilliant and go above and beyond for residents. My fiancé’s nana was in here being cared for in her final days and they have done a fantastic job with her needs.
Fantastic care home! Cannot give them enough credit. I have worked in healthcare for 11 years and I have to say, the care, compassion and understanding from the staff here was some of the best I've ever seen! My nana was transferred here for end of life care after becoming unwell and from start to end, the experience for both her and the family was incredible. They deserve so much credit and recognition for going above and beyond with our family and I would not hesitate to recommend this care home to anybody. Fantastic team, well done, keep up the great work - you have no idea how much you're appreciated.
My Nana only spent a short time here before she passed away but the staff made us feel like she/we were part of their family. Nana received all the comfort she could have wanted as did we, the team spent time talking with us, laughing with us and crying with us; all the time making sure we had refreshments and were as comfortable as can be, given the nature of our visit. Nothing was a problem for them and my family were treated with the greatest of respect from everyone. From the cleaners and care staff to the manager.
Would like to thank the Willows for looking after my cousin in the short time she was with them, before passing away surrounded by family. The staff were lovely and were always around if needed They were great with the family.
My sister spent her last days in The Willows and the care and attention she and all of her family received, was second to none. All of the staff were amazing and nothing was too much for them. Her daughter was given so much support and I know she really appreciated how the staff looked after her Mum. Thank you all so much.
Lovely care home and amazing staff. Took care of our family at a really tough time, and made sure my relative had a comfortable last few days. Would definitely recommend and use them again in the future, if needed.
