Since my wife transferred to Briardene Care Home, I have noted weekly the higher standards of personal care that she has been receiving from the attentive care staff of all grades, races and religions. Her bedroom is always clean and tidy and appears warm and comfortable. I am personally greeted affectionately on every visit.
The care my husband gets at Barchester Briardene Care Home is wonderful and the support I get is brilliant. He has recently been ill but with the exceptional nursing care, he has bounced back and to all the support workers, thank you everyone. The dedication of Briardene's manager is outstanding and always professional and through the recent virus handled with extreme delicacy. Thanks to every member of Briardene's staff, from the hard workers in the kitchen, the housekeepers, the admin staff, nurses, support worker and manager, huge thanks to everyone.
I have made many visits to see my friend since he came to Barchester Briardene Care Home over two years ago. During this time, the staff have always been caring, compassionate and friendly towards him over this period. They always appear 'for' the residents, irrespective of their circumstances or degree of incapacity. They always appear self-motivated and positive. They are always very patient with the patients! Working relationships between the staff appear to be excellent too. They are always very friendly and helpful when I speak to them and I really appreciate the cups of tea they make for me. The facilities are very good and well-maintained to a high standard. Staff always appear busy and this includes caretaking staff who are often seen on my visits. If I ever succumb to the ailments suffered by the residents at Briardene, I hope that they will find a place for me. Thank you all for doing such a first-class job for my friend.
The staff here are one hundred per cent professional in the support they give to my wife and myself. If I have questions or ask for advice, it's always forthcoming. The personal care is excellent, as are the facilities and safety. The meals are quality and of high standards. The accommodation and building are always clean and tidy. My wife is well cared for and loved, staff always make me feel welcome. Thank you.
I am constantly impressed with the high level of care given to my mother. The staff make Barchester Briardene Care Home what it is. They are always attentive to the residents and friendly to their relatives and friends. The staff genuinely care about each resident, loving but business-like when necessary. Thank you Briardene for looking after my mother with such understanding.
I can easily say I am so grateful to Barchester Briardene Care Home and their wonderful staff for taking care of my mother. I stay 6 hours away so can't get to see her as often as I would like but I know she has the best care she can be getting, as she tells me how wonderful the place is every time we go. The staff are incredible and so good to them.
Just got back from holiday, went to visit my dad, he looks amazing and is very happy in this care home. Dad has been a resident for almost 2 years at Briardene and before this I could never have gone on holiday and relaxed without worrying the whole time. Thank you to all the staff at Briardene from the management to the care givers and supporting staff.
I recently visited my mum. She has been at the home for a few months now and she has settled in very well. My mum suffers from high anxiety and has many challenging issues linked with the awful disease Alzheimer's which is why she was recommended to be a resident. I was blown away with the care Mum and the other residents received on my visit. The staff interacted with her and the others and you could sense a general feeling of calm and that in itself must be difficult to achieve. Mum was clean and dressed well and she looked healthy. She always took pride in her appearance and the staff have recognised this and helped her in every way for which the family are very grateful. On my visit, a singer sang songs from the 50s and 60s, all of the residents, including my mum, really enjoyed it, some of them had a dance and many sang along. It's really nice to know that they have these types of activities. I would like to thank the management and the staff for the fabulous work they are doing.
Since my mam has been at the home she has been looked after really well. She can be very challenging but the staff are always professional & try to meet her needs to the best of their abilities. Mam has had a couple of incidents which I have been informed of and I have had chance to discuss with the staff & management. This is the third home mam has been in and this is the best by far. Thank you all for taking care of my mam.
My mum has been a resident at Barchester Briardene Care Home since May and it has been the best thing for her. Mum has Alzheimer's with challenging behaviour, the carers at the home are fantastic and her care has been very good! The activities are very good and Mum has found on a daily basis. Mum always looks tidy and clean too. Communication with the home is always very easy and friendly.
This is my dad's fourth care home. His dementia got really bad this year. What can I say about Barchester Briardene Care Home? Unbelievable. Nothing is too much trouble. Staff are all so caring, they love my dad. From the management to the carers and the cleaning staff, amazing. Thank you all.
My dad moved to Barchester Briardene Care Home from almost two months in hospital and following one and a half years at a care home. We were initially sad that his previous care home could no longer meet his needs; however, we knew from our initial meeting with Briardene management that Briardene was the best place for him to receive care. All of the staff at Briardene show real understanding of his dementia and complex needs and are always respectful of his personality and individual preferences. He has been at Briardene for about eight months now and we are 100% confident in the care he continues to receive.
My husband has been cared for at Barchester Briardene Care Home for the last three years, sadly passed away on March 10th. He was in the most wonderful place, I always felt it was a place for both of us. It was my second family, nothing was too much trouble for them. Such loving, caring, warm people with hearts of gold. They all treated my husband with respect and we've seen how attached they get to residents. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Miss you all so much.
My stepdad has been well looked after. Staff are very caring with my stepdad and me and my mam. They make us feel part of the family, always welcome us and the care provided is 100%. Staff are lovely and brilliant with Stepdad, even when he gets agitated, they always have a smile on their faces and genuinely care. Food is lovely, room is always clean and cosy.
My father was a resident at this care home for nearly two years however he recently passed away on the 26th April 2024. During his time at Briardene Dad received exceptional care from what I can only describe as a totally dedicated and totally professional team. The care provided didn't just stop at Dad; it was extended to the whole family every time we visited - in fact it's fair to say that the team at Briardene felt like an extension of our own family. Dementia is a cruel disease and it is heartbreaking to watch it slowly but surely destroying a person however simple things like Dad always having clean clothes, having a regular haircut, having a daily shave, eating excellent food and living in a clean environment make it all the more bearable - thank you team Briardene for everything thing that each of you did for Dad. We celebrated Dad's life last week and it meant so much to us that many of the team from Briardene came along to the Crematorium to wish him farewell!
My mum is in this home and it is outstanding. The staff are amazing and it's like having an extended family. It is such a relief for me, as her daughter, that I do not have to worry about my mum as I know she is loved and well cared for at the home. My mum has Alzheimer's and is always treated with care and respect, even though she can't really communicate now. I am truly grateful that my mum is in such a wonderful care home.
My husband passed away in Barchester Briardene Care Home. He had lived there for three and a half years. From the first day he moved in until the day he passed away, he was loved and cared for amazingly under excellent management and her team were magnificent. They cared for us, as a family. In my husband's final days, each and every member of the team looked after us. I can't thank each and every one of you enough. The manager is an amazing lady, well done for choosing such excellent staff.
The highest level of care is being provided. Everyone is treated as an individual. High quality of food and very varied for all residents.
My dad has been here a few years now and the care he gets remains excellent, after having him in a home that was not well-equipped to suit his needs. He is a handful and they take it all in their stride. Love visiting even when he’s not happy we all get through it together, a nice family environment. The food is delicious you can have a meal too with your loved one.
