Riverwell beck care home is lovely the staff go that extra mile with residents, very well organised. Laundry very good always wearing their own clothes,the activities they do are brilliant, admin and office staff again very good.its also very clean so everyone is doing a good job.

From coming into the care home my husband has settled really well, staff are very friendly. They provide excellent care and support. He enjoys the activities, taking part in things he enjoys. The food is excellent. Staff treat my husband with dignity and respect and enjoy his sense of humour. Clean and tidy. This was a difficult decision to make as we had not been apart for 61 years but I am grateful to all the staff for the excellent care they provide.

Unfortunately my father-in-law was unable to continue looking after himself in his own home. We visited Riverwell Beck and knew instantly that it would be suitable for him. As with some elderly people, he was reluctant to leave his own home. However, after several weeks at Riverwell Beck he is settling in very well and has said he likes it there and that he gets very well looked after. Which is reassuring for his family. He is treated in a caring and respectful manner by all. The staff are efficient, caring and respectful. I would certainly recommend Riverwell Beck.

Grandma has been a resident now for 2 years and I have only good things to say for the care team at Riverwell Beck. Grandma isn't the easiest of patients but the staff always treat her with respect and kindness. Nothing is too much trouble and the communication between staff and the family is always very good.

Mam has been in the Care Home now for over two years and during that time has received the best care and compassion from all the staff, she has always told me that she likes it there and she enjoys getting involved with the activities. I would recommend the Home to families who are looking for care for relatives.

Mum went into care at Riverwell Beck after a slow decline into dementia. As a family we visited and researched many facilities looking for the right place. We felt Riverwell offered everything mum needed to give her the best possible life and care. Mum have been living at Riverwell Beck now for over a year and we have been delighted with the home on every level, from the facilities, food, staff and activities, we also appreciate the way we can visit when ever we wish on our own terms, very helpful when bring up a family and running a business. I would recommend Riverwell Beck to anyone looking for a high standard of care for their loved ones.

The home is always very clean and warm and rooms are kept clean. The staff are very good and helpful all the time and my relative loved having baths etc. I'm always made to feel welcome when I go there. I would recommend this home to anyone.

Mum came to need care by "fast track" from hospital. I was sceptical until we were introduced to Riverwell Beck. From the moment we visited, we knew that this was going to be a caring homely place for her to live her last days. We have not been disappointed. Our tickbox responses reflect this. The staff shows patience and tenderness in caring for Mam. There are smiles and bright eyes when they listen and talk with her, using the whiteboard to ensure she understands. There is a commitment to a home full of love for Mam, us her family, and for each of the staff team.

Mum came to stay at Riverwell Beck Care Home after a long stay in hospital and in a temporary care home, she was made to feel welcome from day one. The staff have been caring and friendly with my mum. I love they don't mind when you visit and are always friendly and courteous. Mum is very withdrawn after having a serious stroke and losing her husband, so I am hoping she will be included in some of the activities and be able to interact with the other residents and staff.

Very friendly and helpful staff, happy place meaning my mother is very content. Everyone worries when their parent has to eventually leave their home of memories and enter the different and strange world of care but when I visit her she is happy, more social and grateful for the caring staff. So that is all I want.

My husband received respite care at the home from the 1st of July to the 12th of July. He suffers from MS and needs a lot of care. He has respite while major work was carried out at our home to provide him with a wet room and wash/dry toilet. We, his family, will always be grateful for everything the staff did for him, as you will see from our options.

On the 23rd of June I visited my mam, who had had another stroke on Thursday. The staff were trying to get her to eat and drink, but one staff member in particular (young member of staff) was kneeling on the floor, slowly feeding her a yoghurt. His care and compassion, his gentle tone when he spoke to her was exemplary. Who said not all heroes wear capes! I think they meant him! Thank you.

We arranged the placement at Riverwell Beck with the Care Home manager who was extremely helpful and understanding of our needs. My sister settled well into Riverwell Beck and the staff immediately accommodated her needs and what she was able to do and the things she enjoyed. We visit regularly and the staff are always welcoming and our relative is well cared for and well presented. During the month our brother and his wife travelled to Cumbria and also visited. He is a retired GP and his wife has forty years nursing experience. They are totally happy with the placement and whole heartedly endorsed our choice of Riverwell Beck. We are comforted in the knowledge that she is safe, well cared for and the staff are wonderful with her. We are always kept informed of her well-being. Everything is in my sister's best interest.

Despite the fact that we could never have imagined our mum needing a permanent place in a residential home, we feel so fortunate that she was placed at Riverwell Beck. We have only ever witnessed staff treating our mother with respect, care and dignity and she is always clean and comfortable. Nothing seems to be too much trouble and we always receive a friendly greeting from staff whenever we visit.

The staff who work at Riverwell Beck are all amazing. They have patience, kindness and respect and nothing is too much trouble. They look after my Mum, who needs lots of care, with gentleness and understanding and I know that she is safe and cared for all the time - knowledge that allows me to relax. The home is a friendly place where individual needs and preferences are catered for and where the residents and their relatives are listened to. Many new ideas have been implemented over the past couple of years to make sure that residents are stimulated and entertained (if this is what they want) and this means that the home feels vibrant and upbeat as there is lots going on. I really could not ask for more from the staff at the home, they have made Mum’s last years much better and I am grateful to them for all that they do.

My sister just moved in yesterday and has settled very well. She said all staff are nice, and I agree with her, for the ones I've spoken to. She has been made to feel welcome and at home. The staff have all been very helpful and check in with her regularly.

As good as other visits. She is looked after really well and the staff are so very friendly. It is always a pleasure to visit your care home. The garden is well maintained even in the winter and the view from the windows is beautiful.

Mum is known by name by all staff, at whatever level, that she comes into contact with. Some activities have been tailored exactly to meet her interests. She has the dignity of her own room and staff always knock before entering. Her room is cleaned frequently and kept tidy. She has taken on a new glow since living in the home as her daily needs are taken care of with love and compassion. As for her family, our relief is palpable in that we no longer have to worry about her medication, eating, washing, clothing and socialising. The home not only cares for Mum but us too.

I came across Riverwell Beck Care Home when I was searching online for a suitable care home for my husband. He had just spent a month in another care home and the experience was terrible for both of us. I had to move him but was unable to cope at home. Hence my search. Riverwell Beck has been a revelation. It is purpose-built as a care home - not an inconveniently converted old house. It is light and airy, impeccably clean with pleasant, individual bedrooms, comfortable communal sitting rooms and dining rooms. The food is very good but the best thing of all is the staff. All are efficient, friendly, always ready to explain and help. My husband has been here for a year now. He has dementia and continues to deteriorate. My only consolation in my grief is the knowledge he is being cared for as well as is humanly possible. Thank you.

Unfortunately my father-in-law was unable to continue looking after himself in his own home. We visited Riverwell Beck and knew instantly that it would be suitable for him.
