View Full Details of Cartmel Grange Nursing HomeCan not express my words enough, re everything they have done for my mum. Amazing staff with 100% understanding re my mum. Thank you for everything you all do.
My husband came to Cartmel Grange just 2 months ago to a very friendly welcome. There is a relaxed and supportive environment with excellent care from everybody. Good food, enjoyable and varied activities and the lovely nurses and crers create a truly homely feel.
From the very first day my husband was admitted to Cartmel Grange I knew he would be well cared for. All the staff are always most welcoming and attentive, no matter what the need. My husband has many needs and issues, but he is always clean and tidy. This room is beautiful and clean. Although he prefers not to leave his room, his food is brought to him, the menu appears to be varied and well presented. He never complains. The laundry service seems to be very efficient now after some minor issues when he was first admitted. The entertainment seems to be very important, although we never partake. Special occasions are always celebrated well. A home that's very professional in my opinion.
All the staff are kind, helpful and very supportive to my mum. I feel when leaving her she is happy and safe.
My dad was admitted here from hospital must be 8 years ago now and the staff couldn't do enough for him. They took proper care of him, better than the hospital. The first day there, myself and the family arrived a couple hours later, 3 adults and a few kids and they welcomed us, made us all some tea and ice lollies for the kids after tea. The care and love they had for him was amazing. They also made a little buffet and a cake for him for his 65th birthday and we had it in the TV room on the 3rd floor. I will never be able to thank them enough for what they did in the little time he had left so thank you.
My mother has been in Cartmel Grange Care Home since March 2024. There are lots of well trained, caring, staff and they frequently check on the residents when they are in their own bedroom, and keep a close eye on them when they are in the TV room or community rooms. The place is very clean and nicely decorated. There is entertainment in the form of singers who come in regularly and activities for the residents to partake in. And they have a bus that takes residents on days out to local attractions, wheelchair bound or not. Food is good and plentiful. And detailed records are kept on each resident. The only down side is that, for my mum, it is very expensive.
Very caring staff, helpful and compassionate environment.
My mother has lived at Cartmel Grange Nursing home over the past two and a half years and I am writing this as her life nears its end. The staff have been fantastic, so kind, caring and compassionate and I take great comfort knowing that my mother is in their care. Cartmel Grange is an old building, full of character. Highlights for my mother have been trips to the dining room each day for lunch where she has made new friends and enjoyed the food. Cartmel Grange encourage families to come and eat alongside residents which is really good. The garden is fantastic, the views amazing and we have spent many happy days in it.
Dad can't praise the carers enough. They are really supportive and caring. The room and view from his bedroom makes his stay all that bit more enjoyable. Thanks to everyone's care, he has now settled down and his health has improved.
When my husband moved to the ground floor, you can see the change in him. He gets out of his room every day. He is now joining in with activities. All the staff have been fantastic with him. He has good friends that he enjoys being with.
Since my father became a resident his general health and well being has increased significantly. His quality of life is now so much better. He is surrounded by no end of smiling faces from attentive and caring staff. He enjoys and takes part in all the entertainment on offer and looks forward to trips out. A highlight for dad was the summer fair. He now looks forward with relish to his first Christmas in care.
The visit I made to my friend was warm, friendly and welcoming. The staff were very caring and attentive to the residents needs. The home was very clean and homely. The activities and functions organised for the residents I felt were excellent and the staff, very caring people, joining in and making sure that everyone was happy and enjoying themselves including the visitors. It was a lovely experience altogether.
The new manager has been very very helpful, helping me come to terms with mum's diagnosis. They have moved her room which is much better. She sees more people and more content. All the carers in there are so friendly, helpful, always there to help. I just can't thank all the staff for the help and support with my mum.
Mostly very caring staff, all work very hard under circumstances regarding some patients. All in all excellent.
Outstanding performance by every staff member involved in the care of residents. This goes from nursing to cleaners, laundry and not forgetting maintenance men, it does not go unnoticed as regular visitor. It's a cozy welcome feel as you enter the care home. Improvements are seen to be made to the building inside and out (hope the front entrance can be improved not good wheelchair access). Residents enjoying trips out and outside entertainment regular visits. In all, excellent all round.
My brother is receiving good care and is looked after. Staff and management have been accommodating to his needs very well.
First and foremost all staff are friendly, attentive and very caring. The food is good and varied and you can request an alternative dish if the one on the menu is not to your liking. The building is spacious with spectacular views of Morecambe Bay.
I cannot say enough about the care all the staff gave to my partner during his stay in the home. He was only there for ten week weeks before he passed away, he was looked after with such passion. The staff always had a smile on their faces when we went to visit, they are all angels we couldn't have picked a better nursing home for my partner to spend his last days, and I will be forever grateful.
Can't express enough the care and services the care home team has given to my brother. My brother suffers from Huntington's disease and has done so for several years. I have never seen him so settled and calm. The most important fundamental need for any of us is to feel safe, I know as his brother that he has that in this home, and as well as great staff he has true friends that care for him there. One word - outstanding! Thank you.
I would like to thank everyone at the care home for their amazing work. My mum spent the last few years of her life being cared for by the fantastic staff, sadly she passed away last month but she couldn't have had a better place to be thank you once again. You have some outstanding people working for you.
