View Full Details of Birchwood Court Residential Care HomeThe main point is staff take time to listen! Always try to help where they can and give support. My mum has been in Birchwood for 18 months approx. Since the new manager has started things are improving everyday and the residents are a heart always trying to make there stay here safe and comfortable. If I every do have any concerns there is always someone to listen and help. Birchwood is a lovely residential home.
My mother has had an illness during January and I must say the care she has received has been excellent as always. It is reassuring to me to know that when I am not there she is receiving 24 hour care of such a high standard. It is a well run care home with the wellbeing of residents at its heart.
It's fair to say, within the last few weeks, the changes that have been made are very noticeable. Making more use of the cinema room. Entertainment for the residents has been stepped up and the staff seem to be more engaged. I know it's early days and lots of changes are in the pipeline. Looking forward to the home's future.
My mam has settled in well and is happy in her new home. Herself and her family can approach all staff on any concerns and are always given attention and respect. To be able to ask anything and be given answers gives her family peace of mind and knowledge that she is safe and cared for on all levels.
Our mum was admitted to Birchwood Court Residential Care Home for 24-hour dementia care following a rapid deterioration of her condition. Every single member of staff that we came into contact with, from managers, senior and junior carers, cleaners and handymen, was amazing. The care and compassion shown to our mum was of an extremely high level. Unfortunately, after a month in the home, Mum was placed on end-of-life care and died within a week. The end-of-life care provided at the home was exceptional, Mum was kept comfortable throughout, and we were informed and involved with every part of her care, even when we were not there, a member of staff was sitting in her room with her. We will forever be grateful to the kind, caring staff that made our mum's last days peaceful.
Excellent service, lovely, friendly staff.
Mother appears well, happy and interacting with others. Staff are exceptional with their support and their medical intervention and support of family.
Lovely care home, at Easter there were lots of Easter eggs for the residents, colouring in, photo’s taken with big blown-up bunnies, and Easter cards made with the photos and sent to the families on an Easter card it was beautiful. The staff are lovely and welcoming and always there to talk to.
Before my mother came to Birchwood Court Residential Care Home, she had been in another home, not a good experience. Birchwood Court is excellent, from staff to rooms to cleanliness, all above and beyond. Management is so helpful, nothing is a problem. My mam is much happier, her health (legs) is getting the attention she needs. It's peace of mind to us, as family, knowing she is settled and happy.
My sister has now been a resident at Birchwood Court for the last three years. My niece and I visit her at least twice a week and in that time, I have found Birchwood to be a really good care home and residents are treated with respect and dignity. Personally speaking, I cannot praise the staff and management enough for all their hard work, support and dedication. I know my sister appreciates their help and has a good rapport with them. I think the staff there are wonderful and are always prepared to listen to any concerns you may have.
Lovely place with caring staff, and nothing is too much of a bother for them. They're always happy to help. Mam is happy and well cared for and feels safe here.
The staff provide excellent care and support, treating the residents with dignity and allowing independence as much as possible. The staff are friendly and professional, deal with medical emergencies quickly contacting the medial team and informing family members. The rooms are very clean and there are different activities available.
I discovered Birchwood Court Residential Care Home to be a very conscientious and compassionate establishment. Leaving a loved one in the care of a nursing home is a very traumatic experience for everyone concerned and very heartbreaking. However, I found the carers and all members of staff, including kitchen, domestic and clerical, to be outstanding in their work. My sincere appreciation and God bless you all.
As ever, all staff and management are very friendly and approachable. Any issues raised are resolved quickly, any queries are answered, or they will get back to you ASAP. Very good care home, and would recommend.
