View Full Details of Melbury Court Care HomeI found the staff very pleasant helpful and caring.
Overall a positive experience Melbury Court very clean, immaculate Majority of care staff friendly + caring Activities provided but temporary resident chose not to engage Occasional minor issues with the cooking of my personal meal at lunchtime
Place is always nice and clean, although there are never enough staff around. The staff there is are friendly but they could do with a few ore. Our friend thinks the food average quality.
Lovely staff! The transition to a care home is difficult but I know my mum feels familiar and comfortable now.
My mother is very well cared for and I have a lot of confidence in the staff.
Mam came into Melbury Court for respite care on Monday. A new experince for all of us. Staff very helpful, room good. Mam has only been here 4 days and has had her hair done and nails, she loved this.
I found that the care home is a very warm and friendly place the staff are always very kind and helpful and always there if I have questions or need any assistance they're also very good with my mother who seems to have settled in quiet well which is very reassuring for me.
Staff are very friendly and polite. Always make confession with us. It's very clean and tidy.
So far everything has been excellent in all ways.
My mother moved here from hospital with palliative care needs. We chose Melbury because it was able to fulfil her nursing care needs. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are attentive and as prompt as they can be when the button is pressed for attention. Having a call button was important to us for peace of mind.
Mam is treated with lots of care and respect. She is always clean and her hygiene needs attended to when required. The staff understand Mam's communication (non-verbal) and respond appropriately. I feel comfortable in the knowledge that Mam is receiving the best care possible.
I was worried about coming into a care home but since I have come here I have been able to feel at ease and totally welcome, treated with respect and dignity, staff can't do enough for you. I'm grateful for all the help I have been given.
Absolutely fabulous nursing home! Staff are brilliant, very supportive and helpful. Dad is so happy with his room, the medical support he receives, the variety of meals and the care he requires being given daily. The staff have organised haircuts, chiropody and most importantly to dad, holy communion! Always lots going on, activities, birthday celebrations etc. Highly recommend!
My cousin has been in Melbury Court a short time, we have found the staff very friendly and helpful. The only issue we have had is his personal items have gone missing and had to replace them. As far as meals are concerned I can't comment as my cousin does not say much.
Management are always very helpful and willing to sort any problems as and when they occur. Staff are mostly able to provide for my brother's needs and seem to go the extra mile to help.
Both my father and mother are residents at Melbury Court. My overall experience is that they are both well cared for and looked after at the home. I always feel confident that they are safe and that any medical issues will be promptly dealt with. Any issues are promptly communicated to me by phone. Whilst I have said their activities are good that may be unfair is they could be excellent, as I can only judge on my visits, which is not every day.
My mother has been in the care home for 2.5 years. I have always found the staff very friendly and attentive. The food is very good and the cleanliness of the environment is a testament to the standards that are set at Melbury Court. I have experienced other care homes and this is the best one by miles.
I was admitted for respite care. I stayed for almost four weeks. The care I received was excellent and I am extremely grateful and met some wonderful staff and residents.
Mum has been in Melbury Court for more than three years. She has dementia, is blind and has mobility problems. We have found the staff to be caring, friendly and supportive of her and her needs. The staff know her well and have fun with her which she loves. Cleaners, kitchen staff, nurses, managers and all staff are great with her. Very reassuring to know that mum is looked after so well. The ultimate test is what mum thinks and she is happy there which means everything to us.
Melbury Court has been an experience that we as a family will never forget. For my parents, this was the most traumatic experience that they have felt. The management style and care was/is well below standard. Dignity and respect were not promoted for residents. My father describes his experience as being in a prison. I could go on! I would not recommend Mulberry Court to anyone. My family are now in an amazing care home, that should be the standard and benchmark for all care homes. The management and her team are amazing. The standard of care is outstanding. We are so happy that my parents are now being treated with the dignity and respect that they deserve! My parents are thriving!
