View Full Details of Springfield Care HomeVery professional and helpful and nothing is too much trouble, staff are very polite and go beyond to make you welcome whenever you go no matter what time of day they all have a smile on their faces and make you feel very welcome.
When my sister was admitted to Springfield Care Home two years ago, she was very poorly - mentally and physically. She had been a very independent 94-year-old but due to the onset of dementia and the loneliness of Covid, she was a shadow of her former self. Over the next 12 months, the management and amazing care staff spent time and effort making her feel safe and secure and with their continuing care and kindness, she is now happy and settled and we can't ask for any more. The Home provides updates via social media, which is lovely for us to see as we live quite a distance away. Nothing is ever too much trouble, everyone is so thoughtful and caring. This was the best decision we have ever made. Well done to everyone concerned.
My mother has dementia and has been a resident at Springfield for over 4 years. I could not wish for her to be in a better place in terms of care. The staff are truly exceptional and my sister and I are so grateful for the friendly, kind care that she receives. The home has a lovely, friendly and calm atmosphere. The variety of activities is brilliant and there is always an effort to include everyone. I have nothing but the highest praise for Springfield and all involved in the care provided. A 'five star' home in every way.
Excellent home and service. The staff are brilliant, caring for my dad and understand him and his needs. It is an outstanding facility and do not worry one bit about my dad. When I go in I'm made to feel welcome as well.
All carers and staff are kind, helpful and available at all times despite the lack of sufficient social care funding all care homes are experiencing. For many years, possibly twenty or so, promises have been made by all the different governments and we have had, of course, Covid and other contingencies which have affected funding to all the social services.
My mother has been at Springfield for a few years now and I have never had any worries at all. I know she is safe and well looked after. The staff are excellent and nothing is too much trouble. Well done to all!
My mother has been in Springfield Care Home for a number of years now and I can say I'm very satisfied with how it is run. Management and staff are very friendly and approachable, very clean and comfortable home with plenty of variety of activities and entertainment.
I have visited Springfield on many occasions and always found the staff very friendly, helpful and efficient. The residents are their priority and treat them with respect and kindness.
My aunt has been here for some years now. I and my sister are her nearest relatives, and we are most grateful for the kind, caring and efficient care our aunt has. During her time here, she has lost some of her mental abilities, but despite now being occasionally difficult to care for, she is treated with understanding, respect and kindness whilst being kept well-dressed, clean and comfortable. It is a lovely family-type environment with lots of lovely activities too.
My friend has been in the home for 14 months now, she was very frail and underweight when she went into the home. A year ago they nursed her back to health after a very bad chest infection. Management and staff are kind, caring and trust everyone with respect and dignity. I have total peace of mind knowing she is loved and cared for.
The staff are always friendly, the activities coordinator goes out of her way to ensure residents are happy and knows their personalities so well. She treats each resident as an individual and caters to their needs.
The staff are very polite, kind and caring, can't do enough for my husband and myself. They tell me of any changes in my husband's habits or health without asking. I cannot praise too highly what is organised for the residents to join in with and relations to enjoy. I could not give him this high level of care at home or the joy he gets from participating in the activities. They understand dementia and the need for stimulation.
My sister has been in Springfield Care Home for three years and I can honestly say there can't be any better care homes in the UK. If ever I had to come into care I would insist it was here.
My sister has been a resident for about three years and is generally satisfied with her care. But my concern is that most of that time has been in pain and discomfort with her legs and, together with incontinence, has not had the attention required by anyone. I appreciate that this is not a nursing home, but she can, at times, be difficult to deal with, and tends to accept her situation whilst having a good grumble about everything. I'm sad to see her finish up like this but feel there's not much I can do about it.
My mother has vascular dementia and is often extremely confused, anxious and upset. I have found that Springfield treats my mother as an individual and does not categorize/label her due to her dementia. So important, as let's remember, my mum was a very capable and compassionate person who spent many years working hard and also caring for others. She would have been devastated at the thought of ending up like this. A previous care home was unable to deal with my mum, but Springfield has put strategies in place to keep her as calm and settled as possible. It's not always easy, but they are prepared to deal with difficult times and not give up. I'm very grateful to the hard-working staff for this. Thank you.
Really happy with the care provided for my mother. Everyone is really friendly, professional and caring when I visit on a Friday afternoon; I'm always made to feel welcome. My mother has settled really well, even though it took a while before she got to experience the lounge instead of being a loner. As her only surviving son of three, I know she is safe and well. She now looks forward to her time in the lounge, for which there is only one downside, she can't wait to get rid of me, which says a lot... So happy to see her smile again, and I know that she is in safe hands. Thanks again.
Mum went to stay initially for respite stay but settled really well and ended up staying on a permanent basis. Mum is well cared for, and the staff are friendly and caring. We are always made to feel welcome when we visit and are always communicated with by the staff if there are any changes in Mum's health. Mum looks really well and really enjoys her food there.
My aunt, who resides at Springfield Care Home, is very settled and is always keen to get back after we have had her out. The staff are caring and keep us informed of everything we need to be aware of concerning her health and well-being. It is a smaller care home which was important to us when choosing a home for my aunt. This one ticks all the boxes and always feels welcoming and friendly - very happy
Since mum moved into the care home, she has received first-rate care from hard-working and dedicated staff. The home is immaculate, and Mum calls it her home. The staff are lovely and approachable, and they treat Mum with so much love and care that really shines through every time I visit. They make a lot of effort to stimulate the residents and to provide a range of social activities. For example, over the Christmas period, myself and my two cousins (who also have another relative in the home) went in and sang some carols for and with the residents. They do raffles and other fundraising events to raise money for the benefit of the residents. During the Jubilee celebrations, they decorated the whole home and hosted a tea party to which family members were invited. It was a lovely gesture. I know that Mum is safe and well cared for, and we, as a family, cannot speak highly enough of all of the staff. I truly hope they are recognised for all their efforts.
Mum has been a resident at Springfield for just over a year and is settled and happy. The process leading to Mum's residency was traumatic, but the entire team were wonderful - with seemingly endless amounts of empathy, love and care for Mum and us as a family. Mum settled much quicker than we could have hoped for, surprising us with little moments such as getting her nails done - something I can't ever remember happening before! The team led us through Covid restrictions, providing clear and simple information wherever possible, and supported family visits. Every time we visit, the team provide us with insights into Mum's welfare and activities, which helps us as a family. Everyone, from the manager to the nursing team is wonderful. We know Mum is receiving wonderful care and that the Springfield team have each resident at the heart of all they do. I can't thank or praise them enough.
