View Full Details of South Bebside Care HomeAll staff are very friendly and helpful. My dad has settled in his new room very well. He is always treated with dignity and we're really happy with his care.
Would definitely recommend it. The staff are amazing and very friendly. So warm and inviting.
Always have been happy with the staff, always get good information as to how my dad is doing. Dad is settled and feels safe which is reassuring for the family. Dad likes the staff and seems to get on with all of them. Overall I am very happy with the care my dad receives from the care home.
My brother has adequate care and attention from all of the available staff. He is given all the qualities needed to make sure he is warm and well-fed. I would like to see him have a regular review of his personal skin care as he has outbreaks of a sore face.
Staff very friendly. My dad is very happy here. He is well looked after. However, I dont always think his room is as clean as it could be. He also uses a commode (and/or a bottle) in his room to go to the toilet and it is often full when I visit which is not pleasant.
Excellent care home. We have peace of mind.
My father has settled in very well, the staff are lovely, so caring, friendly and very approachable. Nothing is to much bother to them and my father is eating and drinking so much better and putting on weight.
We are very pleased with the excellent care that Mom is receiving. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and have a caring, dignified approach to Mom. The activity coordinator is always going that extra mile to entertain and organise outings for residents. It is very clear that the staff know Mom, her likes and dislikes, and respond to situations accordingly.
Staff very good - helpful in all ways.
My dad has been in South Bebside for nearly four months now and was supposed to be for two weeks respite. When he arrived, we didn't think he would see Christmas; he was that frail and poorly. Within a week of being in South Bebside, the change was amazing; he was up and about mingling with the other residents. He looks ten years younger (he's 92). I can't thank the staff enough for their support in looking after Dad; he is now going to be one of their family and staying on indefinitely.
I have been very pleased and impressed with the level of care, not only for my mum but for me as well! I found it very difficult initially but was touched by the level of support I received. All staff, regardless of their role, are friendly and welcoming, providing a homely atmosphere. They always find time for a chat and go the extra mile to provide a comfortable and safe environment.
If the time comes for me to require a care home, this will be the one.
I have no problems. The home is friendly.
We have been so lucky and blessed that my mother has been accepted as a permanent resident in Sout Bebside. The calibre of care, expertise and commitment of the staff has been second to none. They ensure my mother is happy and safe; what an incredible team, who have great patience and have been a wonderful support to our family. The staff are a true asset to Sout Bebside Care Home.
My great aunt lives in the care home, and the staff go above and beyond in caring for her. She is very happy in the home, and the staff are friendly and supportive. The family have really missed seeing my aunt, and it's lovely to be able to go and visit and to sit in the gardens to have a catch-up.
My experience has been mixed. When my mother arrived, she was unwell, and I feared for her, but over a few months, she improved greatly, eating regularly and warming to the care provided. However, communication has been a problem throughout her stay, it seems almost impossible to speak to the same person twice, different members of the family get different messages, so it is very difficult to know what is precisely going on. Visiting policy during Covid has been problematic and inconsistent, no explanation has ever been given for ceasing closed window visits, and my mother along with others has suffered as a result.
I have been on respite care in South Bebside Care Home for three weeks, of which the first two weeks in isolation due to the pandemic. During the third week, I was allowed to wander around and did sit outside with a member of staff for some fresh air. The staff were very kind and caring during my stay.
I can't praise this home enough. My brother became a resident here over six months ago and loves the home and staff. The staff are professional and so caring. They can't do enough for him to make him happy and comfortable, and his health has improved because of their treatment and attention. He has multiple physical and mental health problems and was very emaciated and unkempt on admission. He has put over a stone in weight since admission. The food is amazing and so many choices. The home, itself, is clean and tidy, the room is fairly spacious, and he has an adjoining toilet and shower. My brother feels safe, secure and happy here.
Staff have always appeared to ve helpful when I have rung and asked a question. While speaking to Mam, she said she was well cared for, and her meals are nice. Because visitors are not allowed, it's hard to say about facilities as I've not been in to see them. I know there are restrictions because of Coivd, but would have liked pod or garden visits; it's awful not being able to see loved ones, especially at this stage in a lifetime is precious.
My mam has been in the home for two years. Found the staff are very helpful and considerate. I know that my mam has settled in well and is really happy, as she knows that there is always 24-hour care if she needs it.
