View Full Details of Blaenos House Nursing HomeOur mum moved in September to Blaenos House Nursing Home. The red tape caused problems but the manager and central admin staff were patient and helpful. On the move day, Mum was welcomed at the front door. She has settled well, loves the cakes, has a lovely, bright room which, like the rest of the home, is spotless. We have seen different staff interact with Mum, all have been kind, patient and gentle with her. We are welcomed cheerfully when visiting and all staff have been very helpful with any questions we've had.
My husband was a resident at Blaenos House for just 2.5 months before he passed away on 12/08/24. The care he received there was just great! The staff really got to know my husband well - soon becoming aware that he loved quizzes and had great general knowledge. He was always clean and seemed happy whenever l visited. They were very empathetic when he sadly passed away. Thanks very much to each and every one of your staff for generally keeping his last couple of months as happy as they could be. Well done!
I have just returned from visiting my mother. She is always neatly dressed and clean. The food she receives is of the best quality and excellently cooked. When my mother refused to wear her false teeth, the menu was adapted to meet her needs. The staff are all always cheerful, friendly and respectful. The activities put on for the residents are first class. There are things that everyone can be involved in with no one feeling excluded.
Lovely care home, always welcome when visiting. The manager, nurses and staff are always very professional and dedicated to providing the best care to the service users. The home is clean and maintained to a high standard.
Blaenos House Nursing Home has a wonderful, caring team, attentive, professional and all present themselves with brilliant communication. There is a lovely welcome when visiting my husband daily, all staff strive in their working environment to provide unstinting nursing care. There is strong leadership to provide the quality of nursing care, amazing events, such as the community choir, are provided. All staff should be congratulated on their service, they operate to their brilliant best.
I wanted to leave a review for Blaenos House Llandovery, we searched everywhere in 2022 for my Mother-in-Law who has Dementia and is now 100 years old, after being let down by a previous home after being knocked down by another resident in another home and had several broken bones through poor management and neglect at a previous Home. We found The Blaenos House Llandovery (Ashbury Homes) all the staff at Blaenos have brought her back from near death in 2022 to now 2024 she had her 100th Birthday Celebrations and absolutely fabulous party and weight bearing after everything she went through it is so amazing and brings a tear to our eyes every time we see her she is happy, content, and is so well looked after. We cannot say enough about the staff at Blaenos they are truly wonderful, Thank you to all, especially 3 members of staff in particular who are completely amazing, for the care I cannot fault them in any way, I only wish there were more homes like Blaenos Llandovery. Thank you to all!
Never easy putting your loved one in a home, a few unsettled weeks but now Mum is back to her happy, cheeky self. All thanks to the care and support she received from the staff. Every one of them is so nice and her face lights up when she interacts with them. Lovely to see. A huge thank you to the staff for their hard work in making us and Mum welcome. Much appreciated.
Overall experience is very good. My nan has settled in very well. She is smiling and laughing a lot more now she has settled. The staff are lovely with her. I have found everyone very accommodating when asked for anything. The activities coordinator and other staff members are exceptional. Thank you for your kind efforts looking after my gran.
We came to celebrate my grandmother's birthday and it was a wonderful experience. Staff were very kind and accommodating.
I would like to thank all the staff for the kind and caring treatment that my dad received at Blaenos. I was a day late arriving from abroad but I know he died peacefully and content. Thank you.
My father has advanced dementia and could no longer be cared for in his own home. My mum and I were obviously apprehensive about Dad starting a new life in his new home, but we needn’t have worried. From the day Dad arrived he has been treated with so much care and kindness. Everyone has been very supportive to us as well. The manager was there to greet us on that first day and was so warm and welcoming. She was able to answer any questions we had and put our minds at rest. The carers are wonderful and very hard-working and always greet you with a warm smile and friendly chat. Dad is always washed, dressed immaculately and cleanly shaven! There is regular entertainment and interesting activities for the residents. The food looks lovely and home-cooked too. The home itself is set in beautiful grounds, it has two large lounges and a lovely conservatory where we can sit. I am so grateful to everyone working at Blaenos House Nursing Home for giving my dad such wonderful care, thank you!
Another visit by my husband and myself yesterday to see my brother. I cannot express how grateful we are at seeing how very well cared for he is as usual. Circumstances beyond our control mean we can only visit him appropriately once a month, which means the world to us especially as we can see ourselves that he is now safe, clean, tidy and extremely well fed! Thank you once again all at Blaenos for your devotion and also the tea and coffee each time we arrive!
The care, love and support the staff show for Mum is outstanding and demonstrated by a fantastic party for my parents' diamond wedding anniversary.
My wife recently celebrated a milestone birthday. All the staff went out of their way to make this a memorable occasion, decorating the conservatory and producing a superb cake. They created a calm and welcoming atmosphere, to which my wife responded. Thank you.
I have just returned from the most pleasant afternoon spent in Blaenos. The excellent events and catering teams had organised an afternoon tea with entertainment included. What a lovely experience! It was so nice to see the residents joining in with the singer in whatever form they chose, ranging from being on their feet dancing, clapping and singing along, or sitting and listening to the wonderful singer. The afternoon tea that followed was delicious and plentiful. It is so nice to be able to sit and enjoy a meal with my grandmother in such welcoming surroundings. It is such a comfort to all my family that my grandmother is being cared for in the best possible surroundings by such caring and devoted staff.
I attended an afternoon tea with my son at the home where my father is a resident. We spent a lovely afternoon together with music and good company, and the tea was delicious. Staff, as always, were caring and professional, dancing with residents and making sure everyone was enjoying themselves. A really enjoyable afternoon.
We're very happy with the standard of care shown in Blaenos House Nursing Home. The staff are always welcoming and show a good knowledge of the needs of the residents.
We have been so lucky with our choice of a care home for our mother, who suffers 3wwith dementia. The level o care here is excellent. Whenever we visit, there is a lovely, calm, happy atmosphere within the home. The carer in charge of activities is superb - crafts, singing, ball games and gardening services really go the extra mile and get the best out of each resident. The food is wonderful; the cook has a marvellous rapport with our mother and a kind word and joke whenever possible. So grateful.
The head chef and the activities coordinator are outstanding in their roles and a common belief is that both ladies are the life and soul of Blaenos.
