View Full Details of Williamston Nursing HomeWilliamston Nursing Home is set in a lovely location and is a warm, friendly and welcoming environment. The staff are kind, caring and compassionate looking after residents with dignity and respect. It is a comfortable, supportive and happy home where all the staff ensure the needs of residents, however complex, are met - for which I am thankful.
A family friend recently moved to Williamston Nursing Home and since being there she has done so well, staff are really friendly and provide great entertainment, the staff dress up as unicorns, Santa and a snowman to ensure everyone had a fab Christmas. Also, they are gradually redecorating the home and the new colour scheme is fabulous and helps create a fresh look.
Incredible staff, warm and welcoming environment and lovely residents who all seem to be cared for with dignity. The staff go above and beyond in this magical place. Lovely location and grounds too.
Mum became a resident of Williamston in February 2024. This was a hard transition for her, from living in her own home to living with others. As a retired nurse she can be very precise in what she wants to happen, when and how. The staff have always tried their best to accommodate her wishes, in a kind, caring and friendly manor. Early in Mum's stay the home changed hands. The manager and senior nurse working together have made improvements in the standards of care being provided to my mum. The home itself has lovely grounds to use nice weather. The interior is quite tired but recently re-decoration and refurbishment has commenced. Mum has to have a soft diet which the staff try to make as interesting as possible for her, they try their best to tempt her with different things i.e. welsh cake. The activities lady has been off for some time and Mum says she misses that interaction. Thank you to all the staff for your kindness and commitment to Mum's care and feelings.
Having arrived in the previous month (July 2024) and settled in, I have found Williamston to be friendly, calm, and enjoyable. I was made to feel most welcome. As someone new to living in an environment like this, I was rather anxious about asking for things. As an example, being diabetic, I have to be careful about what I can eat, so at my first breakfast, I requested to have Marmite spread on my toast. Profuse apologies followed, the kitchen had none in, but the next morning there was a jar of the spread on the table. It's been on offer every day since. Nothing seems too much trouble. That little gesture made me instantly feel part of the 'family'. Many of the residents suffer from dementia, I don't, my mind is clear, but I do have trouble with my walking and balance and I am prone to fall. Nevertheless, the staff are all really friendly and are always able to help when I need it. To be totally honest, I can find nothing to fault.
I feel so lucky to have both of my parents in this nursing home. As a family, we were dreading the moment Mum and Dad could no longer manage at home, but they are actually more settled and happier at Williamston than they were in their own home! The culture of care at Williamston is excellent. Nothing is too much trouble and my parents are cared for with dignity, respect and lots of lovely humour. Everyone goes the extra mile to make them happy and comfortable whilst ensuring all their complex care needs are addressed. We all feel very lucky and relieved. I can highly recommend it.
Supportive environment in a superb rural location. Home was very helpful when we needed to relocate my mother at short notice. Staff are attentive and fully aware of the needs and care of my mother.
A first-class care home set in Pembrokeshire. All staff are friendly and fully qualified. There is always a warm welcome as soon as you go through the door. For any needs that a resident requires the home gives 100 per cent to carry out their wish. I would recommend Williams Nursing Home to any upcoming resident.
I am so grateful for the outstanding care my elderly Grandma receives here. From the moment she moved in, it was clear that she was in good hands. They go above and beyond to ensure her comfort, safety, and happiness, treating her with the same kindness and respect they would show their own family members. I will always be thankful to the staff for letting our family create life long memories with my grandma by helping us organise a 'wedding reception' in the care home so she could be a part of my sisters wedding. The place is always immaculate and welcoming, with a warm and friendly atmosphere that makes visiting a pleasure. The staff are always so attentive, and genuinely caring, always taking the time to engage with my Grandma and address her needs promptly and with compassion. I cannot thank the team enough for their exceptional care and commitment to my Grandmas well-being. Knowing she is in such capable and loving hands brings our family immense peace of mind.
Very friendly staff, all clients seem happy and well cared for. Good communication between staff and family members. Decorating is progressing, hopefully, the flooring and the driveway will be sorted.
From the first moment I stepped into Williamston Home I knew this was the best home for Dad. The staff and management are cheerful, work very hard and above all else are very kind and understanding about Dad's dementia. The staff and other residents have become a second family to Dad and I. Thank you all for the excellent level of care you provide. It is much appreciated.
My mother was admitted to Williamston quickly and without any fuss. She has been well looked after and is happy there.
My mother has lived in Williamston since 2021. When she moved in, it was a difficult time for all of us, especially as Covid restrictions were in place. However, we were made very welcome, and while she was in quarantine, we visited every day. As would be expected, she has deteriorated a lot in that time, but she is so well cared for and known. There are so many little instances we have seen that demonstrate that all the staff know her well. I have complete confidence in the staff to care for Mum and feel they care for her in the way I would like a friend to do - they are physically affectionate but never inappropriate. We feel like we are visiting Mum in her home, not an institution.
My mother is very comfortable and happy in the home, the staff are friendly and kind to Mum, they genuinely care for the residents. The food is cooked in the home kitchen and they have entertainment on a regular basis. The home has a very friendly atmosphere and all staff work extremely well and enjoy their work.
My husband has been a resident in Williamston Nursing Home for several years now. He has always been cared for with kindness and respect and all his medical needs treated with professional knowledge. As his wife, I have been treated with kindness always and kept informed of his health etc. at all times. I can visit him at all times since lockdown, during which time I had their support and understanding always.
My aunt has been a resident at Williamston Nursing Home for just over two years. She originally became a resident after a fall which resulted in a lengthy recovery. The staff were excellent throughout this phase of her stay providing round the clock treatment and care until she recovered. My aunt was then diagnosed with cancer and continued to receive the highest quality of care, despite finally becoming bedridden until her death at the beginning of May. The staff kept her going and it was always a pleasure to visit her and hear about how well she was being looked after by the team. I’d recommend Williamston to anyone.
My father's cousin was treated with kindness and tolerance. She had dementia and didn't really recognise or remember most people. She was happy every time I visited her. She was always clean and dressed nicely in her own clothes.
Superb support for my father through what has been a very difficult time. My father was in Williamston for six months and they did everything to keep us informed and able to have contact with him. To have to choose a home when you are unable to see it was worrying but the staff were amazing. Thank you for your care to both my father and us, as a family.
My experience was limited due to Covid-19 lockdown time but was as good as it could have been expected.
I cannot praise the staff at Williamston enough. The care and compassion shown to both my aunt and us as a family has been exemplary. Her needs were all met with both dignity and a smile. I'm so thankful to them for all her care.
