Always a welcome and lots going on. The residents are happy and able to choose activities. Facilities are clean and odour - free. Staff are caring and attentive and always seem as though they enjoy working there, often going the extra mile to make the residents feel at home.
A lovely cosy atmosphere, always feels homely and welcoming. The staff are very kind and caring to the residents and visitors. The needs of the residents are met with professionalism, care and understanding in a beautiful home from home, l wouldn't hesitate in allowing any of my family to go there
An excellent care home with person-centred care. All staff are attentive, approachable, compassionate and respectful. My Auntie has been at the Nursing Home for many years. The staff have always gone above and beyond to attend her needs including supporting her with appointments, etc. She is well cared for and always presented immaculately. Any issues that arise are resolved promptly. I cannot prise enough how hard everyone at the care home works!
My auntie has been a resident for many years and absolutely loves everyone. The way she is treated by everyone with such love, care and respect is so lovely to see. The staff always go above and beyond for everyone and are amazing. Can't praise the staff enough.
I can't praise Ty Gwynno enough for the love and care they show my nan. The staff aren't just professional- they're truly compassionate and treat every resident like family. It gives us peace of mind knowing she's not only well looked after but genuinely cherished. One of the most beautiful things about the home is that they grant each resident a wish. My nan's wish was to see the sea one more time and that dream came true recently. She didn't stop smiling all day and some staff even came in on their day off to help make it happen. That kind of dedication is rare and speaks volumes about the people working there. The home is always buzzing with activities, from Welsh lessons to summer and Christmas fayres, raffles and even a Valentine's Ball coming up. They've even helped my nan pick out an outfit for the ball. These thoughtful touches make all the difference. Ty Gwynno truly goes above and beyond. It's the best care home I've ever known, and we're beyond grateful for everything they do.
My mum-in-law was sent to Ty Gwynno after it became obvious her old care home was not coping and she was bored and lonely. What a difference in Ty Gwynno. Loads of interactions, events, stimulus, outings, staff, and no longer stuck in a lonely room. In her old care home she had 9 falls and 4 hospital visits as there was nobody to keep a close eye on her. She has been in Ty Gwynno for months now with no falls! Always staff to assist and plenty of company and a whole range of activities. As a result she is far more stimulated and settled and does not seem lonely. Excellent place!
Ty Gwynno in my opinion is the best, with such caring, wonderful staff. My husband has been there for four years and during that time we have both been treated like family members. The staff, whether cleaners, kitchen staff, maintenance staff, carers or laundry staff, or of course the entertainment staff, are wonderful and go over and above to make the residents and their family comfortable and happy. The home is always upgrading and adding new features for the residents. A cinema room for residents to watch their favourite films. In the better weather there is a beautiful garden, where we have sat in the sunshine many times. Nothing is too much trouble for the residents and I personally don't think you will find a better home.
I live in Australia with my wife, who is the sister of one of your residents. I was back in Wales in August last year and visited my sister-in-law on several occasions. I always found the staff to be excellent and very caring of the residents. There is always something going on at Ty Gwynno and that makes it so interesting and stimulating for the residents. For my wife and me living so far away from my sister-in-law, it is so reassuring to know that she is so well cared for. Well done Ty Gwynno!
Mum has happily resided in the residential unit of Ty Gwynno for the past two and a half years. Care has always been first class, and staff really do feel like family. Nothing is ever too much trouble and all staff, not just the caring team, the cleaners, laundry, activities, catering, admin and fabulous maintenance guys have all contributed to making Mum's life a happy one. Unfortunately, Mum's circumstances have recently changed, and she needed to relocate to the nursing care unit following long stay in hospital. Once again Ty Gwynno have excelled, and on Christmas eve, when Mum was due to be discharged back to the home, the ambulance was cancelled. Determined to get her home, they decided to use their transport and go pick her up, despite it being a very busy day for them. They worked wonders in moving her personal items into a new bedroom downstairs, with only 24-hour notice. I know Mum will continue to get the very best of everything at Ty Gwynno, we thank you all so much.
My Grandmother (and previously my Grandfather) has been resident at Ty Gwynno Care Home for a number of years. It is very evident to us that the care here is first class and my Grandmother has been very well looked after. The staff are very caring. The home is always very well kept and frequently improves facilities. I would definitely recommend this home.
The staff at Ty Gwynno are first class. There are always many carers on hand to attend to the needs of their residents; they are always very patient and always keen to make sure everyone is happy and comfortable and address everyone by their name. They ensure their residents are kept well-hydrated throughout the day and that they are well-fed. The carers pay close attention to residents' personal hygiene and everyone is always kept immaculate. The home itself is light and airy with plenty of quiet areas for residents and families to sit and chat and a pleasant outdoor sitting area. Residents are given the opportunity to join in social events and local performers are invited to entertain them. Cleaners are always on hand ensuring the Home is hygienic and tidy. The Home has its own maintenance team, keeping everything in good working order. Security at Ty Gwynno is excellent. No-one can leave or enter without the required procedure, and senior management are always on hand.
Always happy to help on visits to my relative, he is happy, well-looked after and good food, this care home is fabulous, a credit to all staff, they have shows on birthdays and lots of activities, games they have a cinema and a TV room.
I am so grateful for the staff at Ty Gwynno for the care they provide my grandad, and my Nan before she passed. They go above and beyond in everything they do, and I genuinely don't believe he could be anywhere better. From the activities and days out they provide, the facilities, the meals, the standard of care, and the genuine friendliness and company they provide my grandad with. I could not recommend this place more.
Every time we visit Ty Gwynno we are blown away by the extra special touches the staff have put together for the residents. All the staff are helpful, welcoming and make us feel at ease when we visit. They are extra good with the children when we visit with them.
Ty Gwynno is a caring home with friendly staff that go beyond their duty and care. My brother has been there since January this year as he has Dementia and always lived on his own, he is a very vulnerable person. He always says he wants to come home, the staff say 'You want to stay with us' and are so caring.
I was so nervous to see my dad in a home as I live 12 thousand miles away in Australia I couldn’t wish for anything more the staff was so welcoming and dad looked well looked after. It was clean and I loved how the staff interacted with everyone. Even now me being back home in Australia whenever I ring they make sure he gets that call even if he is having a bad day. I am not nervous anymore he is having the best time meeting people and doing everyday activities. I would like to thank every one of you for looking after dad and giving me peace of mind.
Hello you lovely people, yet again I was very impressed on my last visit to see my wonderful mum-in-law. More improvements again, lovely to see the flowers that have been painted on the glass upstairs, and as usual very clean and airy. Staff and residents are very friendly and happy, just like an extended family, makes you feel at home. I look forward to visiting, so relaxed and comfortable. Updated signing-in system is digital, far better than signing a book. So you see not only the residents and visitors are their priority, security is high on the agenda. Well done to you all, it’s been a pleasure. I will rate you A** because you deserve it.
The staff at Ty Gwynno treat all the residents as individuals. It’s so reassuring that my mother is so well cared for and listened to by the staff. There are always new and fun activities going on and the staff work so hard to make it a real home from home.
I can’t imagine anywhere better where my father could be. The carers are fantastic, especially the seniors, and he loves the food! I count us both as very lucky, as I knew nothing about care homes before having to make the big decision that my parents weren’t able to continue living at home 2.5 years ago. The fact that I live a long way from home means it’s that much more important to know dad’s well looked after.
