My father has been in Bankouse Care Home for 6 years, it has been a very positive stressfree time for myself and my family. We have had no issues or complaints at all, he has had no falls, accidents, or any real illnesses since going to Bankhouse. When we visit, we are treated with respect and find the home to be very caring and friendly, we feel it has a very family feel there. Nothing is too much for the staff, even if it is busy, they find time to answer our questions and we are never felt to be in the way or a nuisance there. My father loves singing and is encouraged by the brilliant two staff members in particular to enjoy himself. I cannot put into words how grateful I am that he is being so cared for and loved by all the staff at Bankhouse. I leave there with no worries at all as I know he is very well looked after. He is always spotlessly clean. Thank you to everyone that takes the time to make my father and all the residents feel as if they matter. We as a family appreciate it so much thank you.

Nursing care excellent, professional, caring and friendly. Staff are always helpful and approachable. All needs attended to promptly and to a very good standard. Felt relative was in safe and caring hands. Regular communication with staff regarding care.

I am SO pleased we found Bankhouse. Dad arrived in a bad way 18 months ago and significantly improved within a few months. Every aspect has been first-class. We have always been delighted with the professionalism and genuineness of everyone. Dad was a retired professional with a great deal of world experience and whilst he was a gentle soul he was very particular, had high expectations and full mental capacity. I'm so pleased he felt very at home at Bankhouse (as a self funder he was able to relocate if he wanted to). Staff were always available, welcoming, warm and cheerful. It was a huge comfort to know Dad was in such lovely care and such a kind environment.

It was really clear when we first visited Bankhouse that there was a fantastic culture of genuine care. Way better than others we had visited. It's proven to be everything we expected. We feel very lucky with our choice.

I cannot recommend this place. My father was not looked after as he should have been. They thought he was too demanding but his real problem was he was going blind and his mobilty was gone so couldn't do things for himself. They couldn't cope with his needs and asked him to leave to find another placement. He was 89. He got dehydrated and taken into hospital. The pains he had were not taken seriously sometimes and the problem he had was kidney stones. He died of sepsis. He was unhappy there as he wasn't taken seriously. He was of sound mind. Some staff were friendly but some shouldn't be carers. They always said they were understaffed and he would have to wait. Over an hour one time to go to the toilet when I was there waiting with him. Not right at all. Dignity out the window. There needs to be improvement and more empathy. They are supposed to be made comfortable and homely before they come to their end of life. Not to be made to feel they are a nuisance.

Everyone at Bankhouse Care Home treats my mother with the utmost care and respect. I always feel welcome when I visit and all the staff are friendly and cheerful. It gives our family enormous peace of mind to know that my mother is being cared for with such kindness and compassion. I always feel reassured, when I leave, that my mother is in safe hands.

Bank house care home has a good family like care. Staff are very friendly and give great support to families - cast support dignity and kindness. Staff work hard. Great day time activities for those who wish to join in. I feel the care given to my family is good overall - nursing staff keep and treat with watchful eyes

The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. They are professional in all that they do and the level care shown to my mother quickly soothed my fears about her going into care. They are so understanding of her needs and have aimed to meet them since day one, treating her with great dignity, I would actually say exceeding them. They make sure she is comfortable and constantly engage with her when moving her as, since her stroke, she is a very nervous person and this helps to keep her calm and feel safe. They keep us (family) updated on how she has been and if there is anything we want they are on hand to help. Overall, my mam is safe, well cared for, comfortable and they make her smile, I couldn't ask for more.

In my experience, Bankhouse Care Home is a very welcoming place for family to visit, the staff are always eager to help and be of assistance whenever you require. My husband is having the best of care with staff that go over and beyond to ensure that he has the very best of care. This is a big comfort to me.

Bankhouse Care Home is an exceptionally professional care home; the staff are friendly and demonstrate a very high standard of care to all residents and their families. My mother has flourished since she arrived in April, before she came to Bankhouse, she often got confused as to who we were, but she now knows who we are. The staff treat her like family, and that shows in her demeanour, she is relaxed and happy when we visit. I would not hesitate to recommend Bankhouse; they were very supportive of us when we had to discuss Mum’s living arrangements after she was diagnosed with advanced Lewy Body Dementia and advanced Parkinsons'. It was very hard leaving Mum at first, but the staff went out of their way to make us feel supported, and our voices were heard when we had any queries or worries about Mum. My mother feels safe and happy and enjoys the activities, which reassures us that she is happy and well looked after at the care home.

After researching many care homes for my mom, we decided to go with Bank House not just because of their outstanding reviews but on visiting the home to view it, we had a warm greeting from the manager and were amazed as to how lovely and happy to help everyone was, we could also see how happy the other residents were. My mom wasn’t a resident for very long as she passed away, but the attention and care they gave her was outstanding! I was always kept informed with regards to her when she became unwell and the care they gave me and my family after her passing was truly lovely.

I cannot praise BankHouse enough. All the staff are kind, caring and compassionate. All of the residents are treated like family. It is a true home from home, thank you BankHouse.

My Dad was diagnosed with dementia in January 2019. He was living in Blackpool alone at the time. I live in Wales and wanted him nearer. BankHouse accepted to take him. Since at BankHouse he has deteriorated, but the management and staff at BankHouse have helped my Dad settle in and do everything they can to make him comfortable at this difficult time. I am really happy and grateful for everything BankHouse is doing for my Dad.

I can't fault BankHouse. They are very committed to the care for all their residents and staff. There were no problems from the day my father arrived. Even before that, they gave me support and explanations on all aspects of care. My father lived there for the remainder of his life. Cared for with dignity and cared for by all. If anyone needs care, this is a cracking place to be in and was also a very friendly environment for my father and our family. You feel welcomed as you walk through the door every time.

My husband is a resident of BankHouse Care Home, my son recently got married and as my husband couldn't go to the wedding, the manager kindly offered us the use of the conservatory for close family to celebrate with my husband. The manager and staff went totally above and beyond for us, the conservatory was beautiful and the manager also put on a buffet and wedding cake. I cannot speak highly enough of the welcome our family had and the memories they helped us make, especially for my husband. On behalf of our family, we will be forever grateful to all at BankHouse Care Home.

It is a very happy friendly home. I am really happy with the progress my mother has made since she went to the home. I will be recommending it to a lot of people. It is like one big happy family. The staff are all very caring and welcome everyone that goes to visit. I have no worries with my mother and know she is in safe hands.

I find that when its the weekday we can get through on the telephone but on weekends I can't seem to get through as quickly. I know its a homely nursing home from the way it looks.
