View Full Details of Whim Hall Care CentreMy mother-in-law has been in Whim Hall for 2 years now and the treatment she receives is excellent. The staff are all very caring, patient and professional. They quickly deal with any queries I have. Her care is fantastic, I would recommend this care home to anyone who requires care for their loved one. They have a great partnership with the GP's and treatment has been quick when GP has been needed. A fabulous team - keep up the excellent care.
My mum has been a resident in Whim Hall since January 2023. I am pleased to say the standard of care my mum has received is excellent. The staff, including the manager, go above and beyond what's expected of them. I have personally experienced this. I got married last year and the manager assisted my mum to my wedding on her day off.
The atmosphere in the home is always positive, happy and supportive. My mother likes the activities, particularly the parties! Whenever I see my mother she reports that she is happy and enjoying herself, and I enjoy my visits. I always leave with a smile on my face. The staff are obviously motivated to maintain the positive and supportive environment and work hard at doing so.
I’m ashamed that Whim Hall is still receiving more people to live there. It lacks direction from the management, the knowledge to simply care for a person with dignity and compassion. My father-in-law was stripped of his dignity and the will to live. We had no choice but to removed him from there, but sadly he has died since. Whim Hall is a disgrace.
I don’t know where to begin, Whim Hall has been and was my uncle's home for the last months of his life, his intentions were always to go home as he was only a resident awaiting a package of care. The staff went the extra mile for him and also myself on a number of occasions. My uncle shall we say was a character and was set in his ways, he was immaculate on every occasion I visited and I add my visits were never booked so no prep was ever done for me coming, his room was always immaculate. I want to say a huge thanks to two ladies in particular, the compassion you showed I will never forget.
Very happy to see our Dad is being well looked after at Whim Hall. The care home is well-maintained, clean and tidy and the team are friendly and caring. The manager and her great team are always available to speak to us about our Dad and they take a genuine interest in his wellbeing. Our Dad has come on leaps and bounds since taking up residence at Whim Hall and has started eating well again, as well as taking regular exercise. As such he appears much happier and more like his old self. We are very pleased with the move.
Mum arrived in Whim Hall in November 2022. She seems content and well looked after. I know she can be awful at times, but staff take it in their stride and smile.
I had the most wonderful Christmas ever in my lifetime. We were made to feel special individually. I enjoyed my Christmas dinner, we were given too much to eat. The entertainment was first class, including a visit from Father Christmas and our families were invited too. The care and attention are first class, nothing is too much trouble. I feel truly blessed to have been given a place here to end my life.
I have been very well looked after her and if I did not have a home with a husband in it, I would be more than happy to remain here.
We were anxious about my mum having to move to a care home due to no care being available. Our worries have been alleviated at Whim Hall Care Centre. My mum (and our whole family) have been welcomed warmly by all staff at the Care Centre. We are always included in social events here and can visit at times that suit us. My mum eats well here and is well cared for. She enjoys group/craft activities and regular entertainment. Whim Hall is a home away from home. My mum's room is comfortable and peaceful.
My mum was only a resident for a short time before she returned to a facility nearer home. We found all staff to be kind and caring. Everyone kept us well-informed on her care. Thank you to all members of staff for their excellent care.
Whim Hall Care Centre is an excellent care home with a very professional and caring manager and staff. The home's facilities are warm and inviting. The staff and her accommodation could not be faulted in any way. The entertainment provided is very good too and this is important for the residents. A highly recommended care home.
Mum was admitted in May 2022. Nice, comfortable room with a good view, clean and good facilities. The staff are very welcoming, informative and approachable at any time.
My brother has settled into Whim Hall very well, with the care and patience of all staff. His room is kept very clean and food is always well presented. I am always kept informed and updated on all his care. All staff is very cheerful and helpful.
My mum was only a resident in Whim Hall for eight weeks before she passed away very peacefully in July 2022. During her short time there, Mum was very settled and happy and always well cared for. During her final two weeks, when Mum became very ill, the manager, right down to domestic staff, was exceptional. I would like to thank all members of staff at Whim Hall for making Mum's time there a happy time.
The staff really look after my mother; they treat her with a great deal of care and respect. There is great interaction, and her room and ensuite are bright and airy. I would wholeheartedly recommend the home to anyone who had to make the decision to put a loved one into residential care.
The care that my mum received was excellent. All staff were kind and caring and nothing was ever any trouble. Attention was given to all the little details that make a difference. During Mum's final days, the care given to her family was above and beyond their role. First class care, I can't praise the staff, all staff, enough.
My mother was only in Whim Hall for eight weeks and received five-star treatment the whole time. She was very happy and settled there. During her last five days, my sisters and I stayed with her and I can only praise every member of staff for the care and attention, not only my mum received but my sisters and me too! Every member of staff went way above the call of duty to make sure we had everything we needed during Mum's final hours. I will be forever grateful.
Whim Hall Care Home, in my opinion, is of very high standard. My wife has been a resident there for two years and I have had very little to complain of. Unfortunately, there is nothing my wife can do for herself, so, therefore, she is reliant on the staff to see to all of her needs. The staff are confident in what they do and are most gentle with all of the residents who are disabled. I know that a year or two back Whim Hall did not have a very good reputation, but, as in life there are changes and Whim Hall is one of them. I have no doubt there will be faults, but if you hard enough you will find faults anywhere. I judge Whim Hall by the way my wife is treated, and I certainly have no complaints about that.
