View Full Details of Hillview CourtAfter a long wait to get a place for my husband in Hillview, knowing the facility as my mother was a resident, I am thrilled as this is a home that delivers dignity, love, care creating a family type experience for their residents. My husband has Alzheimer's and is a walker - everyday he is washed, well dressed and absolutely looked after by the wonderful staff - thank you. The staff are so attentive, kind, patient, playing games, dancing and singing with the residents and giving so much comfort. Our unit had a lovely couple of hours sharing the Happiness Programme from social ability. Please could we have this machine just for Hillview.
My brother has been a resident for 2 years now and all I can say is the home is amazing. The care is top quality, the staff are all so friendly and care deeply for the service users. They continuously keep me up to date with anything that has changed, they always make us as a family feel so welcome each time we visit. They are always willing to listen and be there for us as well as my brother. I have complete faith and trust in the care they provide.
I live in a different area and I visit my dad every few months. Every time I visit the care and support my dad receives is of the highest quality. All the carers get him involved in all the activities, they are always warm and attentive, and they know he loves a cuddle. He is always safe and treated with dignity, and he is always asked what he wants to do and when food comes. I cannot rate Hillview Court high enough. Keep up the good work you are all amazing! Thank you for everything you do for my dad.
When I visit my grandad I always receive a warm welcome as soon as I walk through the door. Everybody is so friendly and I can see he is safe and very well looked after. His carers really could not do any more for him and they are respectful, kind and always get him involved in activities which I can see he really enjoys. The facilities are very spacious and he can walk around and interact with other residents. His dignity is so well respected and he really is in the best possible place, thank you!
I visit my friend in Hillview Court. She is always very well-kept and seems relaxed and happy. All staff I have come across are friendly and approachable. There appears to be a good range of activities.
As of the end of the first year, my full-time residential care facilities have been good, in particular, the overseeing of my medical care which I am bound to say has been excellent throughout. The staff are supportive and despite the constant pressure on their hours of work, they discharge their duties, all in all, with a respectful manner, which is so important in meeting and fulfilling their approach to and discharge of their work. I am grateful to be able to testify the great benefit I find as I now approach my second year.
The staff that I have dealt with have all been excellent in relation to all aspects of my sister's care. I am always made welcome and find they go above and beyond for the wellbeing of the residents in their care.
The care home is clean, fresh and comfortable. The residents are all so contented and happy. The staff are friendly and helpful, entertainment seems to be adequate and varied.
Since attending the initial interview with the facility manager I have been impressed with the attitude of staff. The cleanliness of the home and the appearance of the residents. My father appears to have settled here with the help of caring staff and hopefully, he will continue to be happy here.
On entering the home as a visitor, there is a welcoming and helpful staff member in the office. The atmosphere in the home is fresh and pleasant and the staff members going about their work are friendly. My husband appreciates the attentiveness and cheerfulness of his carers. In the warm weather last summer, he loved being taken out in his wheelchair to enjoy the sun and fresh air in the courtyard garden. We are happy he is in safe and caring hands.
My father has settled in very well over the last two months. He has every confidence in the staff which makes him feel safe and secure. This gives the family peace of mind too. His room is warm and comfortable. He is kept clean and tidy at all times. Dad states he has sufficient food and drink to satisfy him.
My wife has now been a resident for just short of eighteen months. During this time she has been well looked after and although she is no longer able to get about as well as she did the staff there try to get her involved in everything that is going on. The staff are friendly and attentive.
My dad moved to Hillview Court Care Home in November 2022 and the difference in him has been unbelievable. He went in there underweight and depressed and is now totally thriving! Every member of staff I've spoken to has been genuinely caring and so helpful. You hear a lot of bad press about Care Homes in general and this put me and my sisters off putting Dad into one but I can honestly say that Hillview has been exceptional, so much so that when I'm elderly and can no longer care for myself, this is where I want to be! I also think what makes this care home the ideal place for someone to live is because the units aren't too big like you find in the majority of care homes. My dad is so comfortable in the company of the other residents and I'm not surprised as it has a real sense of family. More care homes should be built this way, it offers our elderly loved ones so much more dignity and a sense of home. I honestly cannot praise and thank all the staff here enough!
Our brother became a resident when Hillview Court opened 21 years ago. We can say that he has been treated with such care that we as his sisters could not give him. This is his home and that is how he is treated. The staff are amazing and keep us informed of any changes in his care or any relevant issues. We can't praise the staff enough and would like to say that the entertainment coordinator has raised the spirit of the residents and their families. We think that Hillview is an excellent care home which should help others looking for a residence for their relatives.
My son has been in the home since April, the staff are amazing and look after him so well. They are really friendly when we visit and he is extremely happy and well cared for. The food is really good, he certainly seems to enjoy it. The staff are fantastic and full of fun which is what you need to keep their spirits up
My brother is a resident at Hillview Court. We have found everything to be excellent, all the staff are very friendly and very efficient with my brother. I am very comfortable with asking any questions and I know that they will be answered. A first-class service all round!
In preparing for my mother going into a care home we had to offer our choices and this was No. 1. It has realised our expectations and now settled, Mum is relaxed and happier than she has been in years. Now, almost 98 years old, she enjoys the company and activities and her smile and humour has returned. The staff are really kind and caring and all who know me are open with information and requests. The care home is well managed with very good staff/resident ratio and small units on one level.
The care, which my late brother experienced, has completely dispelled any fear I had in respect of spending the latter months/years of life in a home. I can honestly use words like - a loving, happy, spiritually developing environment. Having visited many homes (as we get older our friends do too) I have been in one where the staff are both so compassionate and efficient. I thank them so much. My family has been well blessed.
My sister-in-law has been in residence there since it opened in 2001. During that time she has been looked after extremely well. This is good to know because we live 500 miles away and can only visit 4 times a year. We need to know that she is well looked after and this we have with Hillview Court Nursing Home.
My brother has been a resident in the Bluebell ward since 2017. The care he has received has been exceptional as has the support the family has been given. The activities for patients is encouraging and enjoyed, providing stimulation and memory awareness. The environment for residents is brights and cheerful with visitors being encouraged to involve themselves in daily activities.
