View Full Details of Barleystone Court Care HomeI find the care my wife receives is very good. Attentive oh yes caring yes. It would be very remiss of me not to mention people who should deserve a special mention namely the manager, a staff member on reception and 3 of the carers.
Thanks to your staff, really pleased to see my Dad in a place where the staff obviously care. Myself and my Brothers are really comfortable with him residing at Barleystone Court Care Home. Thank you, staff were so welcoming, we were offered a coffee and my old Uncle even got a free lunch!! Actually looking forward to visiting my dad there, I live in Aviemore, so cannot visit every week. Your staff are managing the home very professionally, giving me great peace of mind.
My dad has been in a couple of care homes in the past and this one has been the best, by far. The staff were very caring and accommodating to his individual needs. We've only used this care home on an emergency placement but I am now looking at using this care home for respite in the future.
Cannot fault the level of care and support provided to Mum since she came into the care home. The staff are so good with Mum and really do provide a huge lifeline to us in the care they provide. Mum is much safer here and we can breathe a little knowing she is under regular care and supervision. The care home manager is and has been exceptional.
I have had a lovely time during my stay here, the staff were lovely and very caring. Food has been lovely. My bedroom was lovely and clean and very comfortable. I would come back here for a break if ever needed.
This was my husband's first-ever residential respite. Barleystone Court Care Home gave a very pleasing ambience on arrival. Staff were quick to answer and use security measures at admission. Staff were professional, helpful and friendly. My husband's room was bright and clean and well-furnished. The whole place was also clean and bright and other service users looked very happy. As I was so pleased, I have made further bookings. I would also recommend Barleystone Court to others.
In the short time, my mum has been a resident of Barleystone Court, all staff and management have provided an excellent level of service and care and have gone above and beyond for us as a family, including giving additional support to my elderly father with the transition of my mum moving into a care home. The whole Barleystone environment feels very welcoming and friendly, and we have been kept up to date and informed with every aspect surrounding my mum's care. My mum's room is lovely, bright and clean, and we were able to bring additional bits and pieces into her room to make it feel more like home. It is also lovely to see the residents taking part in all the activities which are organised and to be able to see the photographs on social media. All in all, as a family, we are delighted with the level of care my mum is receiving at Barleystone Court and would like to thank the staff for all their support.
I was very nervous about my relative moving into a care home for respite but Barleystone Court Care Home has been a very pleasant experience for my relative and myself. Staff were kind, thoughtful and always helpful. My relative was well looked after and didn’t want to leave the home. This was a great first experience of care home living and would not hesitate to recommend Barleystone for respite care for their loved one.
Short term respite care. My Grandmother spent some time with this establishment, not seen her is such a happy/peaceful place for a good while. Thank you! Will keep this establishment in mind in the coming future years.
My dad stayed at Barleystone Court Care Home for 3 weeks of respite. What an amazing place very well organised. The level of care and kindness to my dad and myself visiting was outstanding. I can't thank each and every member of staff enough for their incredible dedication to the residents. The surrounding gardens are a joy to sit in and even entertainment is thrown in to bring a smile to everyone. Well done Barleystone staff you are all invaluable.
My mum has been in Barleystone Court Care Home for 2 months and I cannot fault the care she has been given. On every level, from medical and health care to everyday housekeeping and support, the staff are professional, kind, courteous and pleasant. The management team are approachable and friendly with a very positive attitude. Cannot recommend it enough!
My mum has been a resident for a week. I visited for the first time today and absolutely delighted with the care that is given. I felt so guilty that I couldn't take care of my mum anymore but I know now that she is in safe capable hands and is receiving the expert specialist care that I could not provide. All the staff have been so supportive and gone the extra mile to help my mum settle in and become part of a lovely new family with the other residents and staff. I am getting my mum back after being the carer for a very long time and getting to spend some quality time with her in a lovely environment.
My Father-in-Law was cared for, by Barleystone Court Care Home throughout the pandemic until he passed away in January this year. There were initial teething problems and hiccups along the way but every time we raised any concerns they were dealt with as soon as practicable. Pandemics and restrictions came and went and the care that he received was excellent. He enjoyed being in the home. There were lots for him to do. Towards the end of his life, the staff were absolutely fantastic...They cared for his every need - and ours! For that, we will be eternally grateful. Thank you all.
Great staff. I can sleep easy knowing my mum is in good hands at a great home.
Celebrated mum's 90th Birthday on 4th January 2022 and was allocated the hub upstairs. The staff were excellent and so helpful. We were allowed two households in 3 one hour slots allowing all her family to visit. Mum had a fabulous 90th.
Mum has settled in well to the care home although difficult at the start with Covid being able to see her into her room. The staff have been helpful and cheery. Mum is a lot less anxious now although she has sad days too. Overall happy with the home.
Was very concerned initially about having to place mum in a care home, but as soon as I entered Barleystone my worries were put at ease. The staff are excellent, caring and understanding with residents and visitors. Have nothing but praise for everyone and everything they do here. It's great to know that mums every need is being attended to.
It has been two years since I last saw my mother who in the meantime has reached her 100th and 101st years. She was instantly recognisable and because of the excellent care and attention she gets at Barleystone she looks 10 years younger than her actual years. Carers there know her and seem to be able to empathise with her needs. I live 600 miles from my mother and during the last two years it has been impossible to risk a visit. The staff at Barleystone are first-class always willing to communicate with me and keep me abreast of Mum's condition. Thanks to them her condition is remarkable.
My partner is quite settled in Barleystone now and seems in general, quite content. He is well looked after, treated with respect as far as I am aware, and enjoys a bit of laughter on occasions. He has few complaints about the food and his room is comfortable. He has his own chair which will be useful in assisting him to stand up but unfortunately still waiting for it to be tested before it can be fully utilised.
My Grandad was cared for in Barleystone for just over a year until his passing and we couldn’t have asked for better care, the staff really care about the residents, the place was always clean and had a good atmosphere.
