View Full Details of Ivybank House Care HomeMy dad was in this home before he passed in November. We checked on the home before Dad went in and got great unannounced audits and great feedback from family who have a member of their family as resident. The staff are brilliant, all of them are so dedicated and hard-working. They made us, as a family, always welcome and when Dad was dying, went the extra mile with me, my mum and my sister to do anything they could when Dad was poorly. They made us sandwiches and tea and coffee They checked on me when I stayed all night. They helped me out with a phone charger and were so loving with Dad. It's made his passing easier to know he was so well looked after by all. We, as a family, will be forever grateful.
Excellent care provided to my father over the past three years of being a resident at Ivybank House Care Home. All the staff are professional, caring and friendly and get to know the residents and spend time with them whether it's the care assistants/housekeeping/laundry/catering/handyman/administrator/manager. My father is always made to feel special and included in all the appropriate activities and entertainment that he enjoys. There is a dedicated activities assistant who ensures that there is a varied and enjoyable daily activities programme so that fun and entertainment can be enjoyed by all, all year round. To those who can't always participate in activities, dedicated one-to-one time is spent with them instead, playing games, listening to favourite music or chatting. The daily lunch and dinner food menus are excellent and provide much variety every day. I would strongly recommend Ivybank House Care Home as a safe and enjoyable care home for any elderly person requiring 24/7, 365 care needs.
Very hardworking staff. They make time to help and explain any queries that I have had about my mum's care. Her room is very good with quality furnishings and well decorated. She has her own bits and bobs which has never been an issue to put up on the walls. Well-maintained, any reported problems are dealt with timeously. Excellent contacts with myself when there is a need to escalate a serious issue which is clearly explained and the actions that are being put in place. Very good quality food to suit my mum's diet requirements. Overall, I would certainly recommend this care home to anyone who asks.
Management and staff are lovely. The welcome my relative has received since moving in makes me realise I made the right choice. It's like a big family and when I am in a few times a week I am treated the same.
I would like to thank all the Staff of Ivybank House Care Home for the care and attention they have given my mother-in-law in the five years she has been in Ivybank right up to the end. It has been a pleasure to watch all these girls work so hard but still have time for the family and the manageress for her kindness towards us, as a family. If I had to recommend any care home it would certainly be Ivybank. Thank you all.
Staff are friendly and caring in general. But also busy so there's not always enough time for one-to-one. Don't really know what food is like. They always listen and try to meet with any requests. The only concern has been laundry - even when labelled, things seem to go missing.
The staff are always very helpful and willing to help us with any issues or queries we have.
My mother moved into Ivybank House Care Home on 03/03/2023. The transition was taken over by staff with support and consideration for both m mother and ourselves. Her room was freshly painted and we were assisted to put furnishings etc. into her room. All of the staff were extremely welcoming and provided us with a clear explanation of how her care and support would be delivered, the whole experience has given me peace of mind for my mother's care.
Lovel staff, very pleasant and comfortable environment.
Everything has been fine so far, Mum has settled in fine.
Overall service is excellent and the care of m mum I can't fault. The only issue is lack of communication when tests etc. are being actioned, as the outcome is never discussed with the family. On a lighter note, the staff are all very friendly and helpful and I will always recommend this home to anyone who asks.
I have no concerns about my mother, as Ivybank is very clean, and the staff are very nice and helpful. The food seems to be very good, and Mum has no complaints. Clothes are washed daily, and the beds are very clean. She is well-kept and gets her hair done. Activities are good as she likes making things and music. The staff always have time to speak to me.
Had a few problems when first admitted fir to always being on the move and managing to get out of the main floor. Moved to an upstairs bedroom, which is more secure. The staff are very helpful and deal with any queries and questions asked. Much more settled, and the staff are always pleasant.
Very friendly and caring staff. Always happy to help or if you need a chat regarding my dad. Give reassurance to me.
I am very pleased and satisfied with the care and attention given to my mother. I don't think the level of care could be any higher.
Both residents and visitors are treated with respect. The staff are very helpful.
Mother is well-fed and content. She is clean and warm. Can't ask for anymore.
My wife is very settled and content in your care. I feel she is kept safe and treated with dignity. We are kept well informed about how she is. The team are always very accommodating when we visit.
She is very happy in Ivybank. No complaints. I see she is very happy here, and she's glad she is now able to get visits from friends and family.
My aunt has settled in well at Ivybank. She is well cared for, and the staff are always kind and attentive. She likes a bit of banter, and the staff oblige. Staff are always quick to make contact if there are any concerns. I have no complaints about the home or my aunt's care.
